I am looking at getting a laptop and I found a nice one with a 15 inch screen. Will I be able to see and work well with programs such as Photoshop and After Effects.
Just wondering so I know if I should buy this to do Photoshop work on.
I had Photoshop CS6 installed and working on my Mac using Adobe Creative Cloud. However now a dialog appears that says "Help Improve Adobe's Product". Regardless if I approve this dialog or not Adobe Photoshop starts up with every menu option grayed and I can do nothing. I have to force quit the application. At this point it is 100% unusable.
I've googled it and seen others with a similar issue but no solutions found. I have OSX 10.8.3.
Others with similar issues. URL....No real solution other than don't use Mac Keeper (which I do not) URL....
A) Yes, I have read through numerous posts and tried numerous solutions except the one that works.
1) Erased the registry keys for internet explorer blah blah blah
2) Closed all programs during installation including antivirus, disconnected from net.
3) Ran CS4 clean up AND windows install cleaner AND Revo Uninstaller
4) Rebooted several times/ ran the installer several times.
B) PC Specs: 2.0Ghz Duo Core Intel, 4 G Ram, Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit, Avast Antivirus home addition, Dell m1530 XPS...
C) Installed Adobe Dreamworks CS4 trial without a hitch...
D) Tried to install Fireworks trial and got a ERROR 1603 message at about 95% of the install..Gave up on that one.
E) Trying to install the Adobe downloaded Photoshop CS4 Trial and also gives me a ERROR 1603 at about 95%... I would like to use this software but according to other postings...it doesnt matter if its the trial or paid for version..people are getting the ERROR 1603..
F) Its hard to believe that with all the people with the same issues, it has not been widely posted on how to troubleshoot this issue.
I work in PS CS4(3) or Lightroom in Vista I ge this yellowish tone over my images, it also appears to be in regular Explorer when i view pictures there, and i know its not the monitors problem because when I view pictures in Infanview, it shows true colors, which I can also see if I upload my images to the web or view them in explorer but on my another XP machine. Is it Vista related or what?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAdobe asked me to change the password. After doing this, I have been unable to activate the Photoshop and perhaps also the other Adobe products. The activation process ask for the serial number and when I'm giving it, the system says that it is too short. If I'm trying to make a phone call to Adobe, the support is only in English and I cannot understand the spoken English of the support.

I work on multiple projects across a complex network and I have to manually navigate through all the folders each time, and I can't copy & paste a location like I could if I was browsing through Windows normally. Also you can't save favorite locations?

2. Import works fine. "preview thumbnails" appear normal. When I CLICK on the next image it will suddenly do this ^ to the file
3. I have tried taking that EXACT file and running it through Adobe DNG converter but it comes out looking exactly like this... so it seems that lightroom is actually corrupting the file
4. I have a copy of all my raw files on another drive so I can grab those files and they do not have this problem
I have an computer that suddenly can only open an .PDF file in Acrobat, and not in Illustrator. We have art files that are in PDF format, and Purchase Orders that are in PDF format. We would just drag the icon over the software we wished to open the file. In this case Illustrator for the art file and Acrobat for the P.O. As of today, PDF's only open with Acrobat and that's it. I know it's probably a setting I'm forgetting.

Inorder to draw with my finger or a pen, I need to select outside of the boundary of the canvas and drag in order to draw. The program works fine with the mouse and keyboard, but the touch screen is really what I want to use.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just yesterday had to re-install my operating system (XP Professional), after which none of the Adobe installers will operate as they had before.
When I try to install I get an error message telling me I must have Service Pack 2 installed.
I do have SP2 installed.
I've used several Adobe apps for years with this same OS and I've never had this problem before.
I'm using a Dell Dimension 8200 computer, Pentium IV 2 GB processor, 1GB RAM, and a Canon MP780 multiple function printer.
Does anyone have any idea what can be done to solve this?
Whenever i open up photoshop or illustrator itll work fine sometimes and sometimes it wont work at all. Illustrator sometimes gives me the msg "Could not request ..." and when I click on New image it doesnt display all the options. Itll leave out the OK and CANCEL buttons and several other options sometimes. And sometimes Ill be able to create a file but i cant save... And sometimes when all this is happening I cant open any new windows on my computer and cant do any tasks at all on my pc..
other times when i think it works perfectly some of the options for different tools wont work at all...
I have updated my MAC to Maverick and Adobe CC and all was fine till the main screen disapeared but tool bar remains. I unistalled, re-installed...rebooted, and spent three hours on the phone with New Delhi trying to reset Java, permissions etc...still nothing. how to get the screen back?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 monitors. I’m currently working on the file on monitor 2. Having the layer panel on monitor 1, I'm trying to create a clipping mask by holding down the option button on monitor 1's layer panel.
It will jump to the file on monitor 1 and stays on that monitor unless I move the layer panel to monitor 2. Every other function seems to work fine so far, but this one really bothers me a lot.
The save as function does not work on Adobe CC. I tried and uninstall and then a reinstall and still have the same problem.

View 20 Replies View RelatedThe margins don't work and you have to enter all the parameters if you are printing multiple photos.
No matter what margins you enter, the utility ignores them. I need to CENTER a document on both sides of a piece of brochure paper in order to create a personalized greeting card. This program puts the document on the left - turn the page over, and the card does not match. I would have to cut the paper to size and then set up paper sizes for the printer. The other solution would be to make the document letter size and center the card on that. What a waste of time.
I used to get perfect prints on an HP 2600N Laser Printer just by using no color management. Now I don't. Also, if you are printing 2 photographs (or 2 sides of the card) you have to close the program, re-open the program, get the 2nd photograph and reset the margins and the printer specs. What a bother!
I don't know why you just can't put the 'no color management' back into photoshop (unless you are being paid by printing companes not to do so.)
How to make the registration and activation of Adobe products (including CS6 and InDesign) work through an explicit proxy server (using NTLM or Kerberos)? I am sure that a company of Adobe's size must have the technical resources to enable their products to work through proxy servers, especially seeing as most organisations do use proxy servers these days.

That is approx 126.6 ppi screen resolution if my calculkations are correct...So in order to set PS to display real size of the images according to the zoom, I go to edit / preferences / units & rulers and set the screen resolution to 126.6 instead of the default 72ppi.
But nothing changes...what am I doing wrong? 100% zoom is still showing much larger image than real (as if 72ppi screen resolution was unchanged). I have tried extreme ppi like 10 and 1000 to see if anything chaged but still nothing, I have restarted Ps and the laptop, and the preferences are correctly saved but zoom still wrong..
I just bought a 15.6" Asus Q500A touchscreen laptop with Windows 8. I downloaded photoshop and the 'touch app plug-ins' through the Adobe Application Manager for creative cloud. When I open a file in PS and select the brush(or any other) tool if I use the touch screen to drag it accross the canvas nothing happens. It still works with my mouse though.

1.) Sometimes when I open a file I can't see it, BUT I can see the layers in the layers palette. It's like the file is open but not visible.
2.) Sometimes the screen modes don't work; when I switch modes, all the palettes disappear and never re-appear properly.
Turning OpenGL on (or off!) occasionally fixes problem 1.Restarting the computer fixes problem 2, sometimes...
problem of the screen capture/grab not working and has anyone solved this problem or know why it happens?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just installed Extension Manager Update 6.0.5.9 yesterday and today I've get a wired problem with my bambo tablet.I've used this tablet for 3-4 years without problem. The problem I've now is when I drag lasso tool on an image to make selection it doesn't make a selection even it is showed in the history state that I've used lasso,or magnetic lasso.
My machine is a Mac Pro 2010,Quad-Core Intel Xeon running on Lion 10.7.5 and my bamboo driver is the latest version 5.3.2-2. Even now I've change to use freeform path I've still cannot change form path to selection.
I'm on CS6 on a year old iMac. Plenty of RAM and memory. For some reason all of a sudden, the tools on the left hand side of the screen won't work. All I get is the hand. What I hit or what happened. I've re-started PS, the computer and reset Bridge. How to reverse what happened?

I can drag and maximize so they appear in the middle, but on reopening another image they default to the top left again, I would like them to always open in the middle?
