I have lost my old computer will it crashed, which caused me to lose my CS5 software I had on windows 7. I need to buy the CS6 software for my laptop again but I'm not sure if I do if it will work on my new laptop which I had no choice, had to buy windows 8.

I will be using Windows 8 & need clear clarification that Adobe CS6 will work perfectly and smoothly on Windows 8. If there are serious setbacks or problems to using adobe cs6 on Win 8.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just yesterday had to re-install my operating system (XP Professional), after which none of the Adobe installers will operate as they had before.
When I try to install I get an error message telling me I must have Service Pack 2 installed.
I do have SP2 installed.
I've used several Adobe apps for years with this same OS and I've never had this problem before.
I'm using a Dell Dimension 8200 computer, Pentium IV 2 GB processor, 1GB RAM, and a Canon MP780 multiple function printer.
Does anyone have any idea what can be done to solve this?
Whenever i open up photoshop or illustrator itll work fine sometimes and sometimes it wont work at all. Illustrator sometimes gives me the msg "Could not request ..." and when I click on New image it doesnt display all the options. Itll leave out the OK and CANCEL buttons and several other options sometimes. And sometimes Ill be able to create a file but i cant save... And sometimes when all this is happening I cant open any new windows on my computer and cant do any tasks at all on my pc..
other times when i think it works perfectly some of the options for different tools wont work at all...
when working on Indesign, Photoshop files, and I save changes, the new date isn't saved, the file always retains the original date. I am using CS4.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm rather puzzled with what happened to my Photoshop, i'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6 on a Windows 7 64 bit Notebook.when i'm in the office, it's docked at its station and connect to a larger monitor (via standard VGA plug on the dock) and i use both monitor (not closing the lid on the notebook) today, i had a spare monitor around that i can use, i plug it through the Displayport plug on the dock, it's all working fine, all three monitor display the desktop.
but when i load up photoshop, making new files or opening existing files, there is nothing in the screen although the layer panel shows there is something there.when i unplug the new monitor, everything back to normal.

I even downloaded the application manager but now it fails to install saying "remote server not properly placed.Try after a few minutes" Whenever I retry I get the same message. No matter what margins you enter, the utility ignores them. I need to CENTER a document on both sides of a piece of brochure paper in order to create a personalized greeting card. This program puts the document on the left - turn the page over, and the card does not match. I would have to cut the paper to size and then set up paper sizes for the printer. The other solution would be to make the document letter size and center the card on that. What a waste of time.
I used to get perfect prints on an HP 2600N Laser Printer just by using no color management. Now I don't. Also, if you are printing 2 photographs (or 2 sides of the card) you have to close the program, re-open the program, get the 2nd photograph and reset the margins and the printer specs. What a bother!
I don't know why you just can't put the 'no color management' back into photoshop (unless you are being paid by printing companes not to do so.)
Is there any way to save/open files in Adobe products using the general Windows format, i.e. where you could copy & paste a folder location into your address bar. I work on multiple projects across a complex network and I have to manually navigate through all the folders each time, and I can't copy & paste a location like I could if I was browsing through Windows normally. Also you can't save favorite locations?
