Photoshop :: Touchscreen - Using Adobe CS6 On Windows 8
Jun 3, 2013
I am having touchscreen issues using adobe Photoshop cs6 on a windows 8 tablet when i try to paint or draw on the page in Photoshop it does not do anything but if i paint or draw from the border inward it works but when i just go and draw on the page nothing happens but i touch any of the tools it works is just the painting on the touch screen i tried all of the on adobe illustrator and it works perfectly i tried other graphic application and it works is just adobe Photoshop cs6 is the issue .
Am I the only one having trouble with the brush tool using a touchscreen running Windows 8? The touch feature doesn't work at all, and the mouse is intermittent, at best.
A big bummer that in the library grid mode (or any other scrollable part of lightroom) I can't scroll with my touchscreen monitor like I can in IE or Chrome or Word etc.?? What is touchscreen compatible in lightroom? I would love for lightroom to be touchscreen friendly.
I am about to purchase Adobe CS6 soon. Noticed that the specifications say it needs at least Win XP or Win 7. I will be using Windows 8 & need clear clarification that Adobe CS6 will work perfectly and smoothly on Windows 8. If there are serious setbacks or problems to using adobe cs6 on Win 8.
I have lost my old computer will it crashed, which caused me to lose my CS5 software I had on windows 7. I need to buy the CS6 software for my laptop again but I'm not sure if I do if it will work on my new laptop which I had no choice, had to buy windows 8.
when i start the program up and make a new project, as soon as i hit okay the "Photoshop has to close" window comes up. I've tried everything, i even went from 2000 fonts to 300 (was thinking that was the cause but it wasn't as it worked fine before then)
I have a question. How could I an install a printer to my Adobe PhotoshopCS6 for Windows? And also after the installation how could I scan anything thru the printer?
I've Windows 8 installed [x86].I had windows 7 prior to this. Until then it was working fine. I updated to windows 8 n now when i install al the programs, Only Adobe Photoshop CS4 crashes.. i.e. it'll never get launched.
My Pc was hacked and I had to recover the hard drive for nothing because I was still having problems. I took it to a local tech to fix it and he installed Windows 8.1. I have been unable to activate Photoshop since then.
I can use my touchpad/mouse, but when i try to use my touchscreen to draw or other things with my finger or pen, it doesnt work. If I click outside the box/layer and drag into it, it will work.I have a lenovo twist with windows 8
Let me know whether Adobe Photoshop CS6 of version 13 is compatible on Windows 7 64bit Operating System? In case if it is not compatible on Windows 7 64bit OS,then will there be any free upgrade provided by Adobe.
If not then what would be alternative product to be installed and the License cost details per head. Also please provide the URL or location from which the licensed product can be downloaded as well as the installation documentation.
CS6 Adobe Photoshop Extended (64 bit) installed on Windows 8 will not update. Adobe Application Manager opens with message as shown below. I use Kaspersky Internet Security which I am not very familiar with as yet. I tried to update after turning firewall off without success.
I'm rather puzzled with what happened to my Photoshop, i'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6 on a Windows 7 64 bit Notebook.when i'm in the office, it's docked at its station and connect to a larger monitor (via standard VGA plug on the dock) and i use both monitor (not closing the lid on the notebook) today, i had a spare monitor around that i can use, i plug it through the Displayport plug on the dock, it's all working fine, all three monitor display the desktop.
but when i load up photoshop, making new files or opening existing files, there is nothing in the screen although the layer panel shows there is something there.when i unplug the new monitor, everything back to normal.

Is there any plug in or bug fixed for this problem?
Are there drivers to download for a typical touch screen monitor to enable it to have drawing capilities (probably wacom or something similar) for windows 7 (such as pressure sensativity and be able to rest drawing hand on monitor without reading it)
When using photoshop cs5, I am unable to use any tool properly when using the touch screen.
Using the touchscreen, I am able to select the tool and other buttons, but when i attempt to draw with the brush tool, dragging a stylus across the screen does not create a line, and only visual feedback is seen. Dots can be drawn, ad the only way a line can be created is to double-click and drag which does not always work and is irritating to use.
Just wanted to know if there are any problems installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?
Planning to purchase a laptop that comes with the OEM license and plan to use 64-bit OS to maximize the 8GB RAM of memory. Just afraid if there are known issues for this type of installations.
I was advised to download photoshop via adobe application manager as I have an XP OS. I even downloaded the application manager but now it fails to install saying "remote server not properly placed.Try after a few minutes" Whenever I retry I get the same message. Even I am getting the same message in case of installing adobe flash player. The installer always says installation not complete.
Is there any way to save/open files in Adobe products using the general Windows format, i.e. where you could copy & paste a folder location into your address bar. I work on multiple projects across a complex network and I have to manually navigate through all the folders each time, and I can't copy & paste a location like I could if I was browsing through Windows normally. Also you can't save favorite locations?
How to use the touchscreen on a desktop to draw with the brush tool in adobe photoshop elements? I can use the mouse to draw, but I cannot use the touchscreen. My touchscreen works well in Microsoft Paint so it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.
I have two PC's side-by-side, running the same version of CS6. On one PC, I can see my Libraries from the "save as" and "open" dialogue boxes and on the other I have can't have have to dig down to find the folders I want to save to. I don't have any plug-ins installed, and I have not edited the registry.
