Photoshop :: Adobe Product Registration And Activation Work Through Explicit Proxy Server?
Oct 17, 2012
How to make the registration and activation of Adobe products (including CS6 and InDesign) work through an explicit proxy server (using NTLM or Kerberos)? I am sure that a company of Adobe's size must have the technical resources to enable their products to work through proxy servers, especially seeing as most organisations do use proxy servers these days.
I recently downloaded trials of both Lightroom 2, and CS3 Extended. Since then, I have purchased box sets of each but have not received them yet. When I do, can I just type in the serial # to register the versions already on my system, or do I have to install the new versions? I am concerned about loosing the work that I have already done in Lightroom 2.
I open Photoshop cs2 the product registration window pops-up. I registered the product but it still pops-up every time I open Photoshop. I tried clicking the Do Not Register button and I even reinstalled Photoshop now but that damn screen keep coming back every time I open Photoshop. Any idea how to get rid of the product registration screen.
I recently downloaded Photoshop for Windows and now have switched to a Mac. Is there anyway I can switch my product registration or download over from a windows to a Mac format? and is there a cost involved, or do I need to start again?
I am having problems installing CorelDraw. What happens is, when I try to activate the software, my proxy is blocking the ip that Protexis Licensing Service (PSIService.exe) is using to proxy make the authentication.
It is blocking this address: TCP 10.50.123.80:65237 69.20.35.129:https SYN_SENT [PsiService_2.exe]
How can i proceed with this situation? Is there IPs that they can release so the authentication works?
I live in a university dorm which requires a proxy server to connect to the internet. Everything else (browser, torrents, skype) all seem to work fine through this connection however I get various error messages when trying to publish, or check or an update in Lightroom.
I'm almost certain it has something to do with the connection because I don't get any of these problems when using another internet source. There don't seem to be any proxy or internet connection settings in Lightroom.
I have several groups in our organization which utilize Autocad 2013 products, but each group buys their own licenses and utilizes a network license server.
Can I install each license file into a seperate port on same server to allow each group to use their own pool, essentially to not allow the other groups to have easy access? (We customize the install for each group to a particular lic server/port)
I have purchased Adobe Creative Suite CS6 for Windows and am using it on my desktop and notebook computer. This is the maximum number of computers I'm allowed to use it on. Since the software has an activation and deactivation feature and requires an internet connection, I assume that an activation on a third computer would not be possible. So I really have to make sure that I don't lose any of the two systems because I'd also lose one activation with it. (Or I'd need to mess with the support which I'm trying to avoid.)
Today I've noticed that my notebook shows strange error messages. Applications were missing or would not start due to wrong reasons (not compatible with x64, although this was specificly the x64 version, and it's always worked fine). I ran a chkdsk and it fixed tons or filesystem errors. Now other programs are missing and I can't even install any new ones... Unfortunately I noticed the error while trying to perform a Windows system backup. That stupid thing deleted the old version and messed up the new one. So I haven't got any right now. There's also no system restore points, so I can only reinstall the system.
What files or registry keys do I need to copy to a safe location to backup Adobe's software activation on my computer? Would it be possible to restore such a backup on the very same hardware (maybe another disk drive in case the previous one died) but with a freshly installed Windows (same version)? I've learned several times that I cannot rely on a complete system image backup. The only backups that have ever worked 100% reliably for me were those where I copied files to a known location in a known format. But that doesn't include the activation I guess. I'd like to know where it is located so that I can perform a decent backup of it.

Don't worry, no user data is lost, but I'm kind of lucky that Photoshop still started and I could deactivate it before that wouldn't work anymore as well. (Computer systems often die slowly...)

I want to activate my Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my new computer. However, I cannot deactivate it on my old computer first, since that computer is broken (I know I can activate it on two computers, but that second activation is already taken by my other computer). What can I do to activate my Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my new computer?
I recently started working for a state government agency, we have 2 users in our department that have Adobe Premiere Elements 11 installed (they have for quite a while) I noticed while working on their PC that Photoshop elements can take 5-10 minutes to start once they click on video editor and new Project, also the help files do not work they produce a page cannot be found error.I am replacing there PC in a standard upgrade rollout schedule and I have noticed the same issue on their new PC's, after looking into this I thought I would try the application on the same PC but connected up to a standard ADSL line outside of our network and proxy, the application opens with 10-15 seconds and the help menus are working.
Is there any exceptions I could ask our network administrators to put into the proxy to allow the traffic out and in to fix this issue.
The PC is running Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Windows 7 x32 install
The PC far exceeds the minimum requirements for the application as listed on this website.
How do I stop the Adobe Product Improvement Program prompt from coming up every time I open Photoshop CS5 on my Mac, even after I have responded that I do not want to participate? This is becoming very annoying and I have looked on line for a method to turn this off without luck.
I'm trying to Install Photoshop CS3. i have a problem. I was installing it. pc crashed. and now i restarted and everytime i Try to install the Adobe Photoshop CS3 and everytime it keeps saying ' (Setup already Running) You can only install one Adobe Product at a time. PLease complete the other installation before attempting to install Adobe Photoshop CS3""" I keep getting that. even After i shut my pc down for a day. i still get it.? anyway to stop it so i can install it?
when i open adobe photoshop CS3 and flash CS3 a box appears saying " licensing for this product has expired..i have tried all the solutions and are at to "reinstalling" i don't have the disc or the code.all i am worried about is getting a copy of my swatches/palettes and brushes. Is there any way of saving the swatches and/or brushes? or if i were to install the CS5 version of photoshop would it automatically convert my settings, (swatches and brushes) to the newer version?
after installation i try to activate the product.Following several phone numbers regarding activation at last i get redirected to this site.
Only activation also doesn't work, with a message containing information that the online activation server can not be reached (no error number) i didn't use the product for quite a while. It might be, that it was installed and activated on a machine that doesn't exist anymore.
Take a look at the attached photo - on the left is a black and white photo I exported out of photoshop after desaturation but opened in pictire viewer. On the right is the same photo as viewed in photoshop - again after desatuation to convert to black and white. My monitor is calibrated and photos opened in picture viewer or other simple programs look correct - but in lightroom or photoshop they have a tint. How do I remove this?
I recently bought a cuple of canon600d's upgrading from 450's, my photoshop CS5 does not recognise the raw format. Adobe server is offline or unavailable to enabe me to download update/ I have downloaded a trial version of CS6 and of course raw works perfectly. The Adobe server has not benn able to open for about 3 weeks now. I turn off my firewall settings beforehand.
I'm working on mating two assemblies together by work points on a part inside of them. Here is the code I'm using. It worked with work planes, but when repurposed it to work points, I get a type mismatch when the code tries to generate the work point proxies:
Dim oPartPoint1 As WorkPoint oPartPoint1 = oOcc1.Definition.WorkPoints.Item("botMatePoint") Dim oPartPoint2 As WorkPoint oPartPoint2 = oOcc2.Definition.WorkPoints.Item("matePoint") Dim oAsmPoint1 As WorkPointProxy oOcc1.CreateGeometryProxy(oPartPoint1, oAsmPoint1) Dim oAsmPoint2 As WorkPointProxy oOcc2.CreateGeometryProxy(oPartPoint2, oAsmPoint2)
Now, I want to look into the assembly Constraints and want to get the origin Work plane of the component. So, I now, it's the entity One of a specific Constraint I also now.
What I get is a Face Proxy (the EntityOne gives back a FaceProxy). But how can I get the Workplane, the Proxy Element once was created?
I can get the Surface Body the Work plane was created on, but I don't get the name of the Workplane. My target is, to get the name of the work plane.
Mediastudio 5 pro ultimate Win7 64 AMD 960T on six cores Asus M5A78L M LX + 8 GB HD 3000 integrated graphics OS is installed on a 128 MB SSD Project target file is on a 500GB WD Blue.
I have ripped a Blue Ray DVD as an .m2t, at an average bit rate of about 18.5 Mb/sec, with a resulting file size of over 16GB. Needles to say this file bogs the machine when not running the proxy. When I finish a session and close the program, the proxy file is gone the next time I open the project. The same thing happens when the machine goes to sleep with the project open. I have to either slog through working directly on the project without the proxy while it slowly rebuilds, or wait a couple of hours for the rebuild to complete.
Any way to stop the file from being deleted? I went to power options and selected never, but the next day it was gone again.
Another thing would be to increase the speed of the proxy creation, as it only uses about 20% of the CPU. Better to get it done faster... I have tried raising the priority of the process to high with little if any change.
I have loaded the software on my server but wont run. I get the following error details as follows: I have the dump file but not sure what to ddo with it or where to send it. Dont know how to attach it here either.
I've been told that I shouldn't edit Adobe product files directly off of a server. At my previous job we did have problems with files becoming corrupted (inDesign in particular) when we used this editing method, so we were told to edit the files locally and then resave onto the server. However, at my new job, the IT department is a bit more savvy and I have yet to see many hiccups with our server. Other employees work directly off of the server and don't seem to have any real problems. What are the pros and cons to working directly off the server and working locally then resaving?
Thought I might upgrade my PS to CC under the discount for existing owners scheme However, it won't accept that I have a suitible product despite having CS5 on my system. It is not on my products list. Six others are just not my PS products.
Put in serial number - says it is already registered - I know that - just not associated with me I guess. Deactived PS and tried again - same.
I have lost my old computer will it crashed, which caused me to lose my CS5 software I had on windows 7. I need to buy the CS6 software for my laptop again but I'm not sure if I do if it will work on my new laptop which I had no choice, had to buy windows 8.
Whenever i open up photoshop or illustrator itll work fine sometimes and sometimes it wont work at all. Illustrator sometimes gives me the msg "Could not request ..." and when I click on New image it doesnt display all the options. Itll leave out the OK and CANCEL buttons and several other options sometimes. And sometimes Ill be able to create a file but i cant save... And sometimes when all this is happening I cant open any new windows on my computer and cant do any tasks at all on my pc..
other times when i think it works perfectly some of the options for different tools wont work at all...
