Photoshop :: "Licensing For This Product Has Stopped"
Sep 29, 2008I thought I would update my cs3 to 10.1 patch. After I did that I got the above error.
"Licensing for this product has stopped" check with your it administrator.
Then I thought I would find out what happened online and now all I get is a screen asking for my key code. I bought this laptop a year ago with cs3 loaded on it. How do I get this thing working again?

Oct 21, 2008I just upgraded to photoshop cs4 from cs2, and I noticed that a feature which I really, really loved is now gone, and that is the Use Adobe Dialog option in the open/save/save as file browser.
I don't see any option for this anymore...was it taken out in CS4 or CS3? Or is there an option to enable it that I'm just missing?

Jan 21, 2008I used to have the option for "Use Adobe Dialog" in all the CS2 programs, but I didn't really use it that often. Now that I've just reinstalled Windows and gotten everything set up again, I was wanting to use it again, but now the option is no longer there in the Open dialog.

Aug 6, 2009I downloaded the cs4 via the download manager. Once downloaded, i open the 7zip self-extracting exe file and it gets to 7% and pauses, rushed to 100% and gives me data errors as you can see in the attatched image. Its the third time I have downloaded this. I am running windows 7 RC.

Oct 9, 2012Adobe configuration..I am trying to load configurator 3.1 into photoshop CS6. I receive an error message "installer failed to intialize" Download support advisor This leads me to error message CPSID 82829s5 Missing install bootstrapper go to adobe cleanup. This tells me to download cleanup tool and uninstall photoshop and activate the cleanup tool (it notes that it works for c s5 and 5.5 and does not mention cs6) If I uninstall CS6 I will lose all my actions and keyboard shortcuts.

Activate it on line and I get an error so I go to phone activate... the guy I talk to says the serial number (the one that is automatically entered by my copy of Photoshop) is not valid. Adobe Illustrator was working fine on my MacBook Pro. That is in the shop being fixed, meanwhile I have a loaner computer which is what the specs are above. All my Adobe apps work, except for Illustrator. When I launch it, it loads everything but just as the main menu across the top loads I get an error stating:
Configuration error uninstall and reinstall the product.

Jan 1, 2014Take a look at the attached photo - on the left is a black and white photo I exported out of photoshop after desaturation but opened in pictire viewer. On the right is the same photo as viewed in photoshop - again after desatuation to convert to black and white. My monitor is calibrated and photos opened in picture viewer or other simple programs look correct - but in lightroom or photoshop they have a tint. How do I remove this?

May 26, 2007I have a picture of a cabin on a lake, I want to use this as the flash intro for a website. I would like a mist to cover the picture and then float away, and the water in the lake to "shimmer" or make it look as if it is "moving"...kind of like you were looking at a video clip, not a static picture.
Is this something I would do in any of the creative suite programs? or studio 8 programs? or is it something completely different.

Mar 1, 2013I just installed Windows 8, and while it was very confusing I accidentally deleted all of my programs (I got confused with what the Reset Tab was) and when I went to go and install Photoshop Trial, it's telling me I need to update Adobe AIR because It's not available to my system.
I've installed it before, the only change was from Windows 7 to Windows 8, and I've seen other people with Windows 8 use Photoshop CS5?

Jul 15, 2013I'm having problems opening photoshop CS3 after a clean install. I have deactivated my CS3 product on my old computer, that run on windows XP. With my DVD installed on my new computer that runs on windows 7. After the installation, I tried to open photoshop to activate. When the program stats to open and freezes almost instantly. I have to open the task manager to close the program that appears not responding.
My new computer is a Workstation, S5000XVN Intel motherboard, 24 Gb of Ram, NVidea Quadro 2000.

Photoshop :: Error Message While Installing Adobe Creative Suite 5.5
Feb 11, 2013I have a brand new Dell desktop that runs windows 8. I installed the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection and got a message saying that there were errors during installation and some things might not work properly. I uninstalled and did it a second time. Same message.
I then spoke with an Adobe agent who told me to download a program to detect what the errors were. He said they were minor issues and shouldn't affect the programs. I then spent hours today speaking with Dell on the phone and the rep took remote control of the computer and did a diagnostics check on the hardware. He said everything is fine. I asked him if it might be the video card needing an update so he ran an update. Same issues, no change.
We changed the compatibility to windows 7 and still no change. I then uninstalled the creative suite and tried installing it from the desktop. Still same problems. These are the issues in Photoshop:
1)When using certain tools (transform tool, crop tool) the images goes completely black.
2) The background switches at random- sometimes checkered, sometimes grey, and sometimes black.
3) Color saturation is incorrectly represented. It switches whenever it wants. For instance, when I zoom in and out it changes.
In Adobe Bridge some of the RAW images don't show in the program. Some I just can't open. Others open fine. Those images will open in Photoshop but not in Bridge.

May 20, 2006At work, whenever I "save as" a jpg or tif or whatever, it just renames the extension. eg. 'Work.psd' -> 'Work.jpg'. But when I work from home, whenever I "save as" it appends "copy" to the end, which I really hate. eg. 'Work.psd' -> 'Work copy.jpg'. I know this is a trivial matter, but it puts an annoying kink in my workflow having to remove "copy" from the file name during my extremly frequent saves. I've tried to google this, but I'm at wit's end trying to find where the preference is hidden.

The problem I've now is when I drag lasso tool on an image to make selection it doesn't make a selection even it is showed in the history state that I've used lasso,or magnetic lasso.

May 10, 2009Using PS CS3, I wrote a few lines of text, then saved the file in three formats; PSD, JPEG and GIF. If I close PS and click on any one of these files to open it in Photoshop, I get the "No camera data found in this file" message. In fact, if I open just about any graphics file in any format by clicking on it, I get either this message or another one telling me which camera was used to shoot the image, complete with an exclamation mark at the end .
If I open PS first and then open a file, the message does not appear, even if it's a digital camera image. Is the any way to kill this damned thing and have it stay dead? FWIW, I've wiped out preferences several times and sometimes that results in a temporary cure. But a few days later the message is back again. FWIW#2, this problem does not occur in any other CS3 application. Any suggestions?

At the bottom of my canvas, I have a half-circle, with the curve facing up and the flat edge at the bottom border of my canvas.
At the top of my canvas, I have some text that is actually a graphic instead of text.
I'm trying to make the picture of the text curve to the same arc as the half-circle at the bottom of the canvas.
