Photoshop :: How To Simplify List Of File Types In Save-As File Type List
Nov 11, 2013
How to I simplify the list of file types in the Save-As file type list? I use less than six file types. I have no need for most of these. It would be nice to have my top 5 and then the ability to go off-menu if needed for others.
Is there a way to remove some of the "save as" file formats from the list (when saving a file as...)? After numerous years in my field, there are a number of file formats I have - and probably never will - need to save my files as. If I could remove some of them, then it would speed up my workflow (so that I don't have to scroll down every time I save a file).
would it be possible sometime in Paint.Net to save/export to the clipboard the history box as a text list of what we did ?
since I use many effects and settings in a given PDN, I sometime wants to write me some notes about how i did something and the steps i used to do it, before my old memory lets me down.
I know that the PDN it self has the history, but now I need to go over all the list and manually write/type down in notepad the list , which most of the time is very long.
Having the ability to save/export the history box text to a file or to the clipboard, make it easy to edit the list and keep track/notes of steps and ways to do something.
I don't need the settings used in the effect/adjustments , but just the TEXT names of the steps taken as shown in the history box.
when trying to reopen a file from the "recently used" file list? When I try to click on a file from the list it gives me a message stating "error opening file". I know this will happen if the file has been moved to another location, but the files are in the same place as when I originally opened them. None of the files in the list will open anymore. Is this a pathing issue?Â
Photoshop just becomes unresponsive until I use alt+f4 to close the invisible option dialogue. As a result, I'm currently unable to do things like open PDF files or save JPEGs.Â
When I save from InDesign (and only InDesign), I open the folder I need to save my file in. I begin to type the name of the company folder that this file needs to be saved in (there are hundreds). I am only able to type the first letter of the company before it begins typing over my file name. This has turned out to be a major annoyance for me and my coworkers because we may have 40 or 50 folders that start with "s" so we can only type in "s" and then have to stop and scroll through and read each folder instead of typing in the name of the folder we need and hitting enter.
I have like nearly a hundred generic buttons I need to make. The size of the button is the same only the centered text needs to be changed for each. It seems silly to have to copy/paste/output them from my text file one by one. I did some Google hunting but don't think im using the right keywords to find what im looking for. Anyone have any advice or links to learning about automating this process in PS CS2?
I am trying to export attributes from an autocad file using LIST and I keep running into trouble with the file cutting out data. I am wondering if there is a way to print the LIST file that AutoCAD creates to a text file so that I can get all of the data in one go instead of having to repeatedly "Press ENTER to continue:"
Suddenly when I do a File>Export and try changing the "save as" type to PDF, it's missing from the list of file extensions. I recall having this option earlier this year and have exported hundreds of files to PDF. Now it's gone. Same installation of Xara. See the attached screenshot for proof!
I'm using VB.NET and Inventor 2010. I want to export parts list from idw file to xls or csv file. I checked the internet but could not find trace only exporting BOM from IAM...
I can open inventor and open idw file in VB.net. But could not reach to Parts List.. I checked Inventor2010ObjectModel and sawDrawingdocument>DrawingBOM but could not get success.
I have a Canon S100 which is one of the 6 new cameras added to LR. My existing LR would not open the CR2 file. This 3.6 RC opens it but does not list it as one of the canon cameras it profiles. How about the other 5 cameras? I don't have any of them so I can't comment. Only on the S100.
I'm trying to figure out what file type/setting I should start saving my files as for printing. I want to have files that will give the highest quality when printing, but not take up any more space on my hard drive than necessary (I want to archive and be able to share the non psd files). What would you guys recommend? Are you losing anything by saving files as jpg? What about the difference between quality level “10” and “12” for jpg (since the file size doubles)?
I have X5 and would like to know if there is anyway I can insert an excel name list into a coreldraw file. The file is  a layout of badges with a name on 1 line of text, I want to change each line by inserting or dropping the name in with the name list I have in excel. Then there's no worries with spelling corrections on my part.
It strikes me that there should be an easy way to do this, but it eludes me at the moment. I've used "Connect to Data" to attach a .shp file export from another software, specifically a Windmill computer model. The geometry and data comes through, but the table contains no coordinates, which is what my vendor wants.   The drawing overlay's georeference info very closely (within our tolerances) and the Coordinate System is set.Â
How to suck that coordinate info off the drawing without spending a week clicking on each of 8600 points and typing LIST?
I am developing an application for C3D using 2010 vb.net. How to build a list of Point File Format names using PointFileFormatCollection and PointFileFormat methods? How to extract the names from PointFileFormatCollection.
The "recent" file list when I right-click the AutoCAD icon in my task bar only lists .dxf files. No .dwg files show up. Is there any way for me to change this so that my recent .dwg files will be listed?
How the order of the list of Point File Formats is controlled?
We have a large list of formats predefined for doing coordinate transformations between various coordinate systems, but there does not seem to be any logical order to the list of formats.
I have to list all object data on some 4000 drawings. The drawings have been created in an unkown version of autocad and are electrical in nature. It would be great if a LISP file could be created to extract all of this too individual Excel or text files.
I am using Inventor 2011. When I display dialog with options for export to PDF in Inventor, all options in this dialog I can set programatically except one - something like Print excluded sheets(I translate it to English from Czech version). This option is accessible when PrintAllSheets or PrintSheetRange option is set.
I can't find it in option values list for PDF in help file. Is it only undocumented or is it not accesible programatically?
When I save for the web, select my file type ( png, wbmp, jpeg) it displays the file type as a Gif in the lower left even though the file saves in the correct format. This is the version from the cloud download. Every file type displays this way?
When I use File > Open or Place Component the Windows file browser opens in List mode which means that I have to use the horizontal scroll bar to browse the directory. I would like it to open in Detail mode [List and Detail are some of the view choices under the View Menu of the Windows file browser window] allowing me to browse with the vertical scroll bar. -- I think it's ergonomically eaisier.
I can make the change from the View Menu but it doesn't hold. I have checked to see that Windows 2000 is set for Details when using Windows Explorer.
Are there any settings in Inventor to force Detail mode?
