View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a radius that is spread between 10 and 40 degrees that I need to evenly space 6 line segments throughout.
What this is for is a property with 5 lots along a curved street. Each lot is the same size and I am trying to draw just the sections that are affected. I have tried using the star feature and reducing it to single lines, but they do not space evenly and getting the line number is very difficult. I have tried dividing the angle range and come up with the correct angle and spacing but this is also an issue. Is there any way to do this without dragging each line separately?
I am trying to save copy as dxf without bendlines so I can directly import the file into my waterject CAM software. There has to be a way to tell it not to add the benline layer.

On one side the fillet is not trimmed correctly. I think it is a bug in Inventor. Also when I have the sketch I manually cannot make a decent bend/fillet in the 3D sketch I created.
Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click 'add 3d sketchpoints in open partdoc Dim oPartDoc As PartDocument Dim oPartDef As PartComponentDefinition Dim oTG As TransientGeometry oTG = _invApp.TransientGeometry oPartDoc = _invApp.ActiveDocument oPartDef = oPartDoc.ComponentDefinition Dim oSketch As Sketch3D oSketch = oPartDef.Sketches3D.Add() Dim sp1(2) As SketchPoint3D Dim rod(1) As SketchLine3D sp1(0) = oSketch.SketchPoints3D.Add(oTG.CreatePoint(0, 0, 10)) sp1(1) = oSketch.SketchPoints3D.Add(oTG.CreatePoint(0, 0, 0)) sp1(2) = oSketch.SketchPoints3D.Add(oTG.CreatePoint(10, 0, 0)) rod(0) = oSketch.SketchLines3D().AddByTwoPoints(sp1(0).Geometry, sp1(1).Geometry) rod(1) = oSketch.SketchLines3D().AddByTwoPoints(sp1(1).Geometry, sp1(2).Geometry) 'bending it oSketch.SketchArcs3D.AddAsBend(rod(0), rod(1), 2.5) End Sub
The resulting part-file is added, for who wants to try to get a bend with both sides trimmed correctly.
When I use "export face as" to create a DXF file for our lazer table I loose the bend lines in the DXF. Is there a way to retain the lines in order to have the lazer scribe the bend lines for us?

What I want to do is evenly distribute layers around a circle, each layer must be evenly spaced.
This image is just a very quick and dirty example of what I want (aside from the fact that it isnt evenly distributed and I just painted dots around). What I want to do is evenly place these dots around the circle, each dot must be the same distance from the one beside it and across from it.
I have 5 text layers for the different sections (home, news, contact etc.) and I have them all aligned horizontally. I position the far left text layer where it needs to be, then the far right text layer where it needs to be, link all the text layers and hit 'Distribute Horizontal Centers' to have them fill out the space between evenly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI need distributing horizontal strips of images into a 720x480 canvas. The images vary in heights and constant in width= 720 pixels. For example, i get a set of 17 horizontal strips. 10 strips with height of 8 pixels each, and 7 strips with height of 13 pixels each.
I need to figure out a math formula that will give me the spacing in between these horizontal strips that would allow me to put them evenly onto a 720x480 canvas.
they can not overlap.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI usually make a 6 petal flower shape by creating a petal, flipping a copy and rotating 2 copies at 60 degrees. (at left, below). But I want to make a 5 petal flower and cannot figure out how to do that. let's say I have an elongated oval and I want to rotate 4 more copies at 72 degrees. And I want it to be "mathematically perfect / evenly spaced, using the black dot as the point of rotation. how would i do that? On the right - you can see what i am aiming for, but there's no way to be perfect doing it by hand.

I've used the blend tool to create 10 circles going from smallest at the top > largest at the bottom. When I Align > Distribute evenly on the vertical axis - the circles aren't evenly spaced. I'm guessing ai is doing the math from the centerpoint? How can I get them distributed so that the space between each circle is the same. F- 10 px from the top of one circle to the bottom of the one above it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working on a personal data visualization project but currently stuck and can't go forward. As you can see below in the image, I created all my data bars and tried to distribute them on a 360 degree path myself.
But clearly, I couldnt able to create a perfect 360 path.
All of the bars are each group objects on their own. I am sure there is a way to distribute them perfectly on Illustrator but I cant find it. There is a option on Blend>Replace Spine but it is not active.
I am fairly new to Illustrator, currently working on a project involving circular return address lables. On the labels, the address text follows a circular path with bullets between the name, street, and city/state/zip. Now that I've entered all of the text onto the curved path, how do I distribute it evenly along that path? In other words, how do I ensure that the same amount of space exists at the beginning and end of my line of text? Right now, there is "leftover" space at the end of the address.

Any way to evenly space contours around a curve in a surface.
Many times I have a steep area in a surface that needs to be displayed using 1 foot contour intervals, and in certain areas the contours are crossing each other around curved areas, like a curve in a ditch. In the past i have had to "fudge" the surface a little to get the contours to look correct.

Copypasteing the correctly distributed objects from CS5.1 to CS6 works ok, and if i then repeat the Distribute spaces option nothing changes and it stays correctly distributed. (read: it doesn't badly distribute like before)
I want to draw up a large grid or table in AO sized paper. I will then get it laminated and use it to write down on the left hand column each company I see and sell to. Then beside the company running horizontally I want little check boxes that I can tick off with a marker to not when I last visited that company.
So how doe I make a large sized table with evenly spaced columns and rows etc.
I though that I could just select the table button and set how many rows etc then click and drag. This works, but I want to be able to enter in a value of say 100mm wide by 30mm high and set that for each grid.
The only setting like that is for the actual whole area of the grid/table not each individual cell. Can it be done like how I said?
Sometimes, i work with the Warp Mesh, and i need to make something with a smooth curve. I often end up with several lines following the curvy line i want but i would need to have them perfectly equidistant from one another. Is there a way to select s certain number of nodes and have them evenly space while the first and the last one stay as anchors?
