Jun 15, 2009I have 4 lines of text. They are currently in 4 separate layers as they are 4 separate buttons. How do I make sure the verticle space between them is even?

Many times I have a steep area in a surface that needs to be displayed using 1 foot contour intervals, and in certain areas the contours are crossing each other around curved areas, like a curve in a ditch. In the past i have had to "fudge" the surface a little to get the contours to look correct.
Illustrator :: Distribute Spaces Option Doesn't Space Evenly In CS6
May 24, 2012I'm working in Adobe Illustrator CS6 and neither the Distribute Spaces Option nor Distribute Object Option are working.It doesn't seem to matter if it's a print or web document. Doing the same thing to the same document/graphics in CS5.1 works perfectly.
Copypasteing the correctly distributed objects from CS5.1 to CS6 works ok, and if i then repeat the Distribute spaces option nothing changes and it stays correctly distributed. (read: it doesn't badly distribute like before)

May 14, 2012I want to draw up a large grid or table in AO sized paper. I will then get it laminated and use it to write down on the left hand column each company I see and sell to. Then beside the company running horizontally I want little check boxes that I can tick off with a marker to not when I last visited that company.
So how doe I make a large sized table with evenly spaced columns and rows etc.
I though that I could just select the table button and set how many rows etc then click and drag. This works, but I want to be able to enter in a value of say 100mm wide by 30mm high and set that for each grid.
The only setting like that is for the actual whole area of the grid/table not each individual cell. Can it be done like how I said?

Jul 11, 2011I have a radius that is spread between 10 and 40 degrees that I need to evenly space 6 line segments throughout.
What this is for is a property with 5 lots along a curved street. Each lot is the same size and I am trying to draw just the sections that are affected. I have tried using the star feature and reducing it to single lines, but they do not space evenly and getting the line number is very difficult. I have tried dividing the angle range and come up with the correct angle and spacing but this is also an issue. Is there any way to do this without dragging each line separately?
AutoCAD Visual LISP / AutoLISP :: Program To Evenly Space Objects Across Given Distance
Dec 28, 2013I would like to write some sort of AutoLISP program to evenly space objects across a given distance. I have attached a .pdf file showing what exactly I mean.
I would like the program to enable me to either enter or measure (via the selection of two points) the "z" distance, to enter or measure the "y" distance, and to enter the number of objects, "n". I would then like the program to evenly space "n" objects across the "z" distance.
A program like this is, I have to be honest and say, way beyond my current capabilities.
Perhaps some initial guidance to get me going?
Paint Shop Pro :: Dock Three Palettes Vertically On Right Side Of Work Space?
Oct 19, 2013I have been trying to dock three palettes vertically on the right side of my work space but have had no luck at all. I have preferences checked to allow docking and have used the drop down on each palette to mark "docking" as opposed to floating. However, the palettes always stack horizontally (left to right) and very large as opposed to vertically and sized as I want them. I can float each palette and drag each to the right of the screen as shown but they will not dock like this. I have attached a capture file of what I want to happen and another with what happens.

Jun 17, 2013When you open a text box how do you center the text in the middle from top to bottom(vertically), not left to right. The text starts immediately in the top left corner. I need it in the center of a predefined text box size, so that if you drew a line across the center of the box from left to right, the top half of the letters would be above the line and the bottom half would be below the center line. In other words there should be the same distance above the words to the top edge of the text box, as to the bottom of the text box, from the center.

Oct 22, 2012I am creating a banner for a website. The banner is say 400 pixels wide by 60 pixels high. I drag the horizontal type tool so that it covers the entire rectangular shape exactly. I can center the text horizontally by selecting Window-->Paragraph and then selecting the center button. However I can't seem to center the text vertically in the banner using some Photoshop option. Once the text is typed then I can move it to what I think is vertically centered but it may not be exact.
The reason I am looking for exactness is I have to create several banners that are the same dimension but the text within will be different. Some of the banners will be one line and others will be two lines. I would prefer to vertically center them exactly.

On the labels, the address text follows a circular path with bullets between the name, street, and city/state/zip. Aug 8, 2011I have tried tooth and nail to use the Path tool and every tutorial explains it so simply but nothing will work. I cannot text to path.It should be so simple but it is not. I make a vertical path then select the text tool and type my text. Then hit text to path and nothing happens.Rotation doesn't give me the same quality in the final result so that's out.

Mar 12, 2012I have been using the multiline text quite successfully. When i was playing with inserting tables, i rotated my text in the tables.
Now when i use my multiline test on my plans they also automatically are set up vertically and not horizontally anymore.
Where can i rectify this. On the properties the rotation angle is set at 0 degrees.

Oct 23, 2012I am trying to align text in a row of my parts list vertically, but I can't seem to find an option to accomplish this. Please see the row for item #5 in the attached jpeg. The default behavior seems to be top justification.
I have found the ability to change left/center/right horizontal alignment in the 'format column' dialogue, but nothing for the vertical alignment. I have also tried changing the settings within the 'styles editor' by going to the parts list style I am using, then the text style that is specified for the data, and changing the justification for that text style to middle justification (see 2nd attachment), but it does not seem to effect the text within my parts list as I had desired.

Jun 3, 2013I have a block that I want to show on a vertical exaggeration of 10x. How do I make it so that a block has a Y scale of 10 without the attribute text inside the block being stretched in the Y direction 10x?
I would like to use a Y scale of 10 rather than a block with 10x the length because I have a field that returns a length parameter and I don't want that value to be 10x what it's supposed to be, and it would make things much easier to not have to multiply my values by 10x each time I use the block.
AutoCad :: Text Doesn't View In Same Model Space / Paper Space
Aug 24, 2012ACAD 2010 text doesn't view the same in MSpace and PSpace! Model space is the acad default text: txt Paper Space it appears as it should as Romans. The drawings print as txt and not as it should Romans! When I change the text in model space to Romans, save the drawing, enter PSpace and the return to MSpace, it seems to 'reset' back to text!
This is specific to my workstation BTW, when I open the dwg file on a colleagues PC it opens Romans in both Model and Paper space.

I would like to see a way of locking out model space while editing text in paper space. Unless you double click right on the text, you often end up in Model Space...I know - big deal right?
