View 1 RepliesI just upgraded to Lightroom 4.1 and now (when in Develop) all my 16x9 shot photos from my Olympus Pen are stretched vertically or squeezed looking. Any check box I'm not checking?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a Canon shooter but received some raw Nikon files from a fellow photographer. We've done this before and I've had no problems with his files - well, we have done this a number of times but before I used LR 4 (i.e., in LR 3 and before). With this batch, when I start cropping, the image gets stretched vertically, but is fine when I hit enter to commit the crop.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen you centrally allign text horizontally and vertically in a text box, the text sits slightly high of the centre. Is there any way of setting an action or setting to deal with this rather than adjusting by eye every time?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know what I did, but now when I open a text box and type in, the text looks stretched out sideways. Closing the file and closing GIMP doesn't work. When I open a pic and try to put text on it, it is still stretched.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen you open a text box how do you center the text in the middle from top to bottom(vertically), not left to right. The text starts immediately in the top left corner. I need it in the center of a predefined text box size, so that if you drew a line across the center of the box from left to right, the top half of the letters would be above the line and the bottom half would be below the center line. In other words there should be the same distance above the words to the top edge of the text box, as to the bottom of the text box, from the center.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am creating a banner for a website. The banner is say 400 pixels wide by 60 pixels high. I drag the horizontal type tool so that it covers the entire rectangular shape exactly. I can center the text horizontally by selecting Window-->Paragraph and then selecting the center button. However I can't seem to center the text vertically in the banner using some Photoshop option. Once the text is typed then I can move it to what I think is vertically centered but it may not be exact.
The reason I am looking for exactness is I have to create several banners that are the same dimension but the text within will be different. Some of the banners will be one line and others will be two lines. I would prefer to vertically center them exactly.
I select the text tool then drag it to make a box. I type text into, but it always go to the top. Is there way to make all of the text inside that box automatically center vertically?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to do, but it's horizontal. I need to do it vertically with the letters on top of each other, not with the letters turned sideways, as in the "vertical text tool"
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am engraving a company logo on to the outside of a round tube with a custom font. There are two boxes of text that I am engraving. The first box works just fine with the "Emboss" tool. The second line works fine when the "% Stretch" parameter in the text edit window is left at 100%. When I change the "% Stretch" to 85%, I get the "Self-intersecting loop found in this profile" error message. I get this error message when I try stretching it to 115% as well. I changed the font to a standard font and I was able to emboss the text no matter the "% Stretch" value.
The bottom line is Inventor will not emboss text that has a custom font and a modified stretch percentage. This line of text must be stretched to match the company logo.
trying put create text (or text saved as an image) in a distorted arch shape over top of an oval shaped image.
want text start as larger contract towards the middle and expand to the end.
all text flat on top and the curving would be along the bottom (to go over the oval shaped image).
[might also eventually want to make something similar (shape upside down of this one) to go along bottom of oval image.]
text would be in this bridge shape below:

I have 4 lines of text. They are currently in 4 separate layers as they are 4 separate buttons. How do I make sure the verticle space between them is even?
View 1 Replies View Relatedis there any possibility in GIMP to align a text not vertically at the bottom of a text box (there are options for left, right, center and fill but that's only the horizontal alignment). The motivation is, that I change a text in an image quite often and it whould "align itself" if it whould always be aligned at the bottom of the textbox.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to work with some transparent text stuff and I can't seem to center it vertically. I have no problem doing it with regular text but using the Horizontal Type Mask Tool it doesn't seem to allow me to do it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedType some text and try to change orientation to vertical and the program rotates 90 degrees to the right instead of aligning text.
I did a reset of Photoshop settings file (CTRL + SHIFT + ALT on Photoshop boot) and no change of issue.

I have tried tooth and nail to use the Path tool and every tutorial explains it so simply but nothing will work. I cannot text to path.It should be so simple but it is not. I make a vertical path then select the text tool and type my text. Then hit text to path and nothing happens.Rotation doesn't give me the same quality in the final result so that's out.
View 8 Replies View Relatedhow can I insert text vertically in my photo.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using the multiline text quite successfully. When i was playing with inserting tables, i rotated my text in the tables.
Now when i use my multiline test on my plans they also automatically are set up vertically and not horizontally anymore.
Where can i rectify this. On the properties the rotation angle is set at 0 degrees.
How do I enlarge a text or color box vertically or horizontally?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to vertically center text in a cell (in a table of course). So far, I have tried Align and Distribute when the cell is active, using text selector. I have also tried selecting table tool and highlight a column, then trying Align and Distribute functions. Both are no-go.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to align text in a row of my parts list vertically, but I can't seem to find an option to accomplish this. Please see the row for item #5 in the attached jpeg. The default behavior seems to be top justification.
I have found the ability to change left/center/right horizontal alignment in the 'format column' dialogue, but nothing for the vertical alignment. I have also tried changing the settings within the 'styles editor' by going to the parts list style I am using, then the text style that is specified for the data, and changing the justification for that text style to middle justification (see 2nd attachment), but it does not seem to effect the text within my parts list as I had desired.
I have a block that I want to show on a vertical exaggeration of 10x. How do I make it so that a block has a Y scale of 10 without the attribute text inside the block being stretched in the Y direction 10x?
I would like to use a Y scale of 10 rather than a block with 10x the length because I have a field that returns a length parameter and I don't want that value to be 10x what it's supposed to be, and it would make things much easier to not have to multiply my values by 10x each time I use the block.
I try to resize image it looks stretched.
I have an image that I need to resize to 370x197 and 103x62
Why is my avatar all stretched out?

I have video studio 7 SE DVD. When I capture edit and share my file and burn it to DVD, the picture looks fat and stretched whenplayed on a widescreen TV.
I have played around with some of the properties and setting on the program but everything I do has the same effect.
I can have the TV set to 4.3 and the picture is fine but of course I have the black bars on each side.
Is there a way to have it show correctly on the widescreen TV without affecting the quality?
I dont mind if it cut some of the picture out as in top and bottom, I just want to keep the picture the right ratio without stretching it to fit.
My video camera I am using is a DV cam. I think it might be half the problem as it records in 4.3 format and is playing on a 16.9 TV.
Any solid shape just tend to go to the right no matter what angle you look at it and as it seems to go towards towards infinity . This is in orthographic view I might add. In perspective view the cube ends within the screen but it far from cubical and changes its appearance as you rotate it. As you can see in the pictures even the axis graphics down to the left is messed up.
Picture one is while I am extruding the 10mm cube. The big orange thing is the arrow used to drag up from the sketch.
Picture two is just the 10mm cube. As you can see the wire frame works just fine and it event hides the edges behind the solid.
I just installed the software on this computer so I suspect it is my graphics card that simply cannot handle the 3D solids. It is a few years old, a NVIDIA Quadro FX 540. The shadows does not work either, probably because I do not have shader model 2.0 or newer. do I have to scrap my computer?
I cant get this to render correctly in exports to GIF, PNG, JPEG format.
It consists of a fairly large stretched bitmap.Page size is large (A0).
Strangely if I copy the graphic and UN-stretch it I start to be able to render it again.
There are two position points. The lower one one moves the rotation paramenter and doesn't cause any problems.
The higher postion point stretches the rotation parameter. Wierd thing is that it changes the angle value when it does it.
So whenever I plot a drawing the W's and M's are slightly stretched. Regardless of font. So far I have only noticed it among a few drawings in the same project.
