I am designing a website for a developer. he asked for a 1140x960px document built on a grid that is divisable by 12. so thats 95 boxes across.
How do i change the the grid spacing to create this 12x12px grid?
I always use the same 'Home Grid' settings for every project I work on, but can't find a way to save those settings so they'll be automatically loaded when max starts.I even looked through 3dsMax.ini and saw nothing related to grid settings in there.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUnderstanding that composite volumes are typically more accurate, I have a reason to evaluate the volume between two surfaces via a grid volume. Easily created a grid volume surface using a 50' grid (50' is large for this site, but wanted to get a feel for calculation time).
Question: Can you change the grid size without creating a new grid surface? Ultimately I woud like to explore the difference in volumes based on grid sizing without creating a long list of surfaces. One would expect that you could chage the grid spacing in surface properties, but the values are non-editable.
My grid X and Y spacing is 10 so I changed it to be 1 and click ok. The grid change and then I close the program. When I open Autocad, I have to change the grid spacing again because it's back to 10.
Also I try to save the drawing work. The saved one which is already change grid spacing, not have the problem. But open new one, I have to change it again.
I'd like to use a grid to snap a lot(!) of small images into a larger(!) one. That works alright.
Problem: the large image has places the small images need to be snapped into, but they are not spaced an integer number of pixels apart. So the grid slowly wanders off the places as I move over the sheet. The places are 127.5 pixels apart (alternately 127 and 128, I guess). I cannot scale the image up, because the image is already 2.7 GB in size and my computer cannot handle the quadrupled size.
Is there a way to make GIMP accept a non-integer width for grid spacing?
It is absolutely ok if GIMP alternately places the grid lines a pixel shorter and a pixel longer.
Edit: I'm using GIMP 2.6.11, could install another version.
I learnt that grid spacing in Section Views/Cross Section Sheets is controlled by the Bottom Horizontal Axes minor tick intervals and Left Vertical Axes minor tick intervals in the Section View Style dialog box(see Capture). If this is true what, then, is the function of the grid spacing settings in the "Plot Are" Tab of "Group Plot Style" dialog box (see the other Capture).

I right-click the paragraph text box and select "Align to baseline grid". Then the text surely is aligned to the grid, BUT the lines are spaced to every other line, instead of every line.

I have a 100cm x 100cm document at the moment, with 1 cm making a 'stitch'. I want a grid that is 100cm x 100cm, made up of 1cm x 1cm squares for simplicity. The picture here is my Autocad 2012 on the left and on the right is what I get from another company. How can I change my style so the lettering is more spaced out like the one on the right? This is not just for the tolerance box. All my dimensions have a similar problem where the text is not spaced out.
Such as if I make a dimension, it says "R.125" where there is no space between the "R" and ".125"
On Illustrator CC. Set up a new document, setup 4 artboards with a 10mm spacing between each board... hit OK. Now how do I change this spacing now? I can't find reference to it anywhere.

Reason I ask is b/c I had to change fonts from RomanS to RomanD, b/c the former font wouldn't print clearly enough for the shop and customer to read it (both in pdf and dwg/dxf).
The problem is, RomanD has DOUBLE SPACING as default, instead of the usual single spacing. I can't get the "Styles" editor to change the spacing in the VIEW LABELS and WELD SYMBOLS.
I'm using the "cross" fill mode trying to overlay some grid on a map. I would like to increase the spacing between the squares it makes but I cannot figure it out.

Is there a way to make a wavy line that is not a distortion based on anchor point distances? I'd like all my wavy lines to look nice and consistent like this:
The only reason they're so consistent is the absolute setting has been used but these lines are all straight and have only 2 anchor points, start and finish, hence the wave is consistent. It's harder when the lines are curvy and have a different number and spacing of anchor points.
I'd like to create sheet notes with different line spacing and paragraph spacing in ACA 2013. When I change before/after Paragraph spacing settings in the Text Formatting window, I get a message reading "please provide a value within range of 1/4" and 4". I'd like to use 1/8" for the paragrpah spacing, which is the same size as the text.

I am trying to follow this tutorial on how to create anamorphic images and I don't know how to use vanishing point. How to create a flat grid like it says. Also, does the number of rows in a grid matter? Because in the picture it's like five rows across and when I create a grid it's at least twenty rows across. I have an art final due in a two days.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've converted a 2D image into a smart object, dragged into a project then transformed it using the Distort command (similar to how you might distort a 2d image to make it sit inside a photo frame at an angle) . I need to then warp that image around over something that looks like a curved panel thats 2D but looks 3d. Its not a 3d object, but a rendered 2d image that just looks 3d.
I'm using the Transform > Warp tool as Puppet Warp isnt available after using Distort when using Smart objects.
Warp works fine to some extent but I could really do with more handles and smaler grid for more accurate warping rather than the default 3x3 grid & handles..
Possible to add more handles/ nodes/ control points (or whatever they'e called) and/ or increase grid points in the same way Puppet Warp does this so as I drag around I control a tigher & smaller space?
the autocad can create points on grid? I must stipulate the points to be sampled in the field / map, and would be a nice increase for the company. I'm sending a map, and I need a point every 2500 m square. I managed to do manually. I picked a line and divide segments of it with the command point. But I had to use the "copy" in each row of dots and copy down.
The attachment is a map with 32,81 ha ( 328100 m 2). That is, I need 4 points per hectare (10,000 square meters) in total 131 dots ( points )
In short, it is possible, in this map make a grid of points 2500m square from each other?
I'm looking to create this polygon grid, I'm unsure how I'd do this and then fill it to get the same logo as the M3? URL....
View 17 Replies View RelatedI am currently working on making a lens profile and the instructions are pretty annoying as they require the calibration chart to remain in the same spot while you tilt the camera as well as move the camera around to make sure that you are tilting the camera to bring the calibration chart close to a side of the frame but not clipping it and also staying within an angle of 10-30 degrees.
This seems overcomplicated, instead, why cant adobe make a single calibration grid where the camera is positioned in such a way that it fills the entire frame as much as possible without clipping, then it simply corrects using the single chart.
With the way it is now, unless you have the camera on a computer controlled dolly and computer controlled head, you will not be able to make a completely accurate lens profile.
