This seems to be the opposite of a problem which arose with Content-Aware Fill.I am a fairly recent (starting with CS5) user, and I am used to the Delete key bringing up the Fill dialog. However, this has stopped happening, and when I select a portion of the background layer and press the Delete key, it appears to delete those pixels. I would like to return to having the Delete key bring up the Fill dialog.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn Corel PhotoPaint X5, changing the fill color was possible by e.g. double clicking the (left-most) color square, then hitting Edit. Already, I found this was a bit too many clicks. Now in Corel PhotoPaint X6 it's gotten worse -- after hitting Edit, I'm not in the left-most tab "Models", but in the right tab "Palettes"!
My question: Is there any way I can open the Uniform Fill dialog with one click? (The Color Docker doesn't have a big color preview field so it doesn't work well for me when selecting and changing a color.) And is there any chance Corel will fix the bug with the wrong tab being opened?
Whenever I bring up the crop tool I see a dialog box covering part of the image. I never use it. Is there a way to hide or get rid of it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have purchased a Nikon D-70 camera. When I open a NEF file with PS, it only it gives only the small box which allows me to adjust exsposure and lighting conditions, i.e., daylight, shade, direct sun. It recognizes the camera as Nikon D-70.
I wish to open the larger dialog which allows me to correct and adjust shadows, brightness, white balance and everything else.
How do I get that dialog box opened?
A coworker asked this question. Unfortunately she works about 2,000 miles from me. The delete key on her keyboard is suddenly bringing up the "fill" box.
My guess is she somehow changed the keyboard shortcut from "shift F5" to delete.
The reason I've downloaded it is to see if I can change some of my photos by removing a person. I've watched the video on moving a person and I can do that, but I don't know how to delete them and then fill in the space with plausible background.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to delete fill from a sketch I have done on a drawing. (See attached). Unfortunately I cannot find any way to delete without deleting the whole sketch. I tried as Inventor said to go into Annotate Ribbon and change Layer & Style but both these dropdowns show blank when I try that. I also tried going into Fill/Hatch again hoping the new one would overwrite the old one but no success.

I have tried in CS5 and got nothing and upgrades to CS6 and it only tells me to check the plugin and make sure you have the right version. for CR2 that verion is 4.1.CS6 comes with verion 7.0.xxx what is going on. this should flow smoothly.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an image that I removed the background of and then used Refine Edge to place the newly masked image onto a new layer. I now want to take this newly masked image, scale it down a bit, and bring it into another .PSD. When I copy and paste or drag the layer onto the other .PSD it is not bringing the masked image, but something else. I tried selecting both thumnbails of the layer first though that did not work.

But that's very annoying there are things that i like about photoshop and there are that i like about illustrator so my opinion is to make a new version that have both this way it won't offend people who dont like what i like.
Photoshop:
-line tool is bad.
-Lacks much of the basic vector tools, which most are available in illustrator. (line width change, pen pressure dependent, smooth)
-choosing color is much easier than illustrator. More sensible
-You can more easily draw gradients on shapes.
Illustrator:
-make lines that are trully art of work.
-merge, combine seperate shapes just by overlaying them.
Basically, most tools in PS are great but it lacks a lot in vector area. I also like transform tool. I want all capabilities of illustrator on top of photoshop's but with some improvements at illustrator side. So i don't want adobe to bring bad things about illustrator in photoshop and break it.
I have BW shot of girl with dark hair against a black background. I do levels to get that background nice and black.
I try to paint back the hair in the mask, but it's too difficult. Perhaps I can do it where hair is solid,
I have a picture to which somebody added text...
It wasn't added with a great application.
Now, the text is tiny, since the image is tiny.
It's also a purple color between light and dark purple,
and was inserted right over top of a pink wall.
It's not a high-quality image. I'd really like to bring that text out and make
it visible. Can anybody help me? I'm not a very experienced photoshop user,
but I thought to myself "If anything can bring that text out, photoshop can
do it."
When I use the fill tool to simply 'fill' a selection, it does not completely fill it. There is an ivisible barrier or line that prevents it from filling all the way to the edge. Do you think I have my settings wrong?

But miss some of the control layouts in CS5. For example the CS5 Crop tool with the ability to specify the size of the crop along with setting the resolution.
This was a great productivity tool cropping for a specific Matt window and the final resolution for print. With CS6 we have the size parameters but the resolution box is buried menu item. Is there any way to bring the resolution box back to the crop tool bar?
Are you able to bring a text layer from Illustrator into Photoshop and keep it as a text layer? How is this done?

To get them to appear on the screen again I have to hold down the PS logo at the bottom of my screen, which then brings them up as per the image, then click to select an image. This then brings it onto the main screen. But I have to do this with each image individually. How to bring them all up at once? Or how to turn off this feature completely?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just made the jump from CS2 to CS5 where I found Photoshop no longer offers settings for line screen and screen angles for spot color printing. This is a critical feature for me and most others in my industry. Photoshop is the go to program for color separations for garment manufacturers and this is a crippling omission for us. Are there any plans to patch CS5 or to bring this critical feature back in future versions? I have been told by customer & tech support that my only option, while already owning CS2 & CS5, is that I will have to buy CS4 from a third party and go backward. While this may work temporarily, it imposes additional cost, and does not address the long term issue of the removal of these controls. Garment manufacturing is a relatively small, but constant industry among your customer base and Photoshop & Illustrator are our right and left hands.
