A coworker asked this question. Unfortunately she works about 2,000 miles from me. The delete key on her keyboard is suddenly bringing up the "fill" box.

My guess is she somehow changed the keyboard shortcut from "shift F5" to delete.
This seems to be the opposite of a problem which arose with Content-Aware Fill.I am a fairly recent (starting with CS5) user, and I am used to the Delete key bringing up the Fill dialog. However, this has stopped happening, and when I select a portion of the background layer and press the Delete key, it appears to delete those pixels. I would like to return to having the Delete key bring up the Fill dialog.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to delete fill from a sketch I have done on a drawing. (See attached). Unfortunately I cannot find any way to delete without deleting the whole sketch. I tried as Inventor said to go into Annotate Ribbon and change Layer & Style but both these dropdowns show blank when I try that. I also tried going into Fill/Hatch again hoping the new one would overwrite the old one but no success.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, when I try to change colors anywhere (it could be the color of text, or the main foreground color) a dialog with swatches appears instead of the eyedropper tool I'm used to using in this scenario. I can't click on anything else in the screen except the options in this annoying swatches dialog.

As this dialog won't tell me what the hexadecimal color values are (even when I click "Define Custom Colors"). As of right now, the project I was working on is stalled until I figure out how to make this thing go away and let me use the eyedropper tool to change the color of something.

This problem is new. I had my CS4 running since it came out and it never did this before.
Not sure what I did.
When I open a new pic, it has a grid all over it.
Ctrl-H eliminates.
What did I do to make this happen?
I don't want this to happen <grin>.
I cannot get a color balance adjustment layer to come up. Every time I do photoshop creates a levels layer. Selecting levels makes a levels layer. All of the other adjustment layers seem to be working normally.
How do I fix this? I have a deadline and no time to be reinstalling photoshop.
Upgraded to LT 2013, and I've noticed that when I click open, CAD brings up a folder that I was working in the previous day or even the week before. Â I've created shortcuts to get back to the folder I need to be in, but it is not the current working folder (apparently). Â This is also the case for xref's (when I go to attach a new dwg file).
Even after I change to the folder I want, and open a drawing from that folder, CAD reverts back to a folder I was in the day before.
When I start CAD, I use a shortcut icon that runs a startup script - so I'm not opening a drawing to start CAD, I actually just Start CAD from a shortcut to the program file.
My Autocad Civil 3D 2008 crashed and when I restarted it and tried to open a drawing the file open or save as just brings up text in the command bar asking me to specify the name of the drawing to open. Where have my opo up boxes gone? I have had this problem before and found a code to type in which restored it but now I can't find it.

I've taken bits and pieces from various sample scripts and tried to make this work, but my problem appears when I try to use conditionals.This is a limited version of what I want to do, but it is enough to get the point across.

1. I want to select a script that has various dropdown boxes. I would like the first dropdown to give me 3 options: 10, 13, 18
2. I would also like another drop down box that gives me three more options: single needle, double needle, and knife edge.
3. I would then like it to have an "ok" button and "Cancel" button.
4. From here when I click the ok button, a symbol is brought in from the library depending on what parameters were given to the form.

URL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.

I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)
Currently have an iLogic rule in my drawing template that base on user input brings up the Drawing View dialog box (as though you click on base view). I want to know if there is some coding I can do to control or handle what happens if the user clicks the cancel command inside this dialog box. Possibly show a message box. Or even run another rule after the cancel button has been clicked?

How do I fill a canvas with color without having to cover it with a large rectangle to fill? I've gotten answers to this but none has solved the problem.
When I use the fill tool to simply 'fill' a selection, it does not completely fill it. There is an ivisible barrier or line that prevents it from filling all the way to the edge. Do you think I have my settings wrong?

Repro: Import any footage to a new project - any resolution or frame rate. Create new composition from clip. Type in "Crop" in effects search Double click to load it. Result is an effect called "Wigglerama" & "transform" gets loaded instead of the required "Crop" effect

Why can you no longer delete layers with the delete key?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay, so it's been a while since I've done one of these, and I haven't done one on 2014 at all yet.
I've got a fairly simple part, it's about 6" long x 3" wide, less than 3/8" thick, without a whole lot of complex geometry to work with.  I've built up my whole mold for it, and that went okay, but the fill analysis seems like it's taking forever.  Like hours.  It gets to the "Fill" stage, gets just a sliver of green on the progress bar, and then sits.
Last time I tried this was on my workstation at the office, using 2013. Â It didn't take nearly this long, and the part was much larger and far more complex, with a significantly slower computer.
Is something broken with this in 2014? Â I guess I can just let it run overnight, see what happens in the morning ...

I used a heart fill pattern of the right 75% of the picture and the left 75% of the picture is selected overlapping the first fill in the background... I want to fill the selected background area with a flame fill pattern where it overlaps the selected portion of the heart pattern as well as the transparent area... 'overlay' looks better but Gimp is FAILING to fill the transparent areas, it ONLY fills the overlapped heart pattern portion of the selected content!!! I even tried filling the transparent area with 'white' then filling the selected area, but it STILL ONLY wants to overlay fill the heart pattern, it STILL leaves the rest alone!!! it doesn't matter if the background is white or transparent, it leaves that alone and ONLY fills the heart pattern area of selected portion of the image!!!
In Corel PhotoPaint X5, changing the fill color was possible by e.g. double clicking the (left-most) color square, then hitting Edit. Already, I found this was a bit too many clicks. Now in Corel PhotoPaint X6 it's gotten worse -- after hitting Edit, I'm not in the left-most tab "Models", but in the right tab "Palettes"!
My question: Is there any way I can open the Uniform Fill dialog with one click? (The Color Docker doesn't have a big color preview field so it doesn't work well for me when selecting and changing a color.)Â And is there any chance Corel will fix the bug with the wrong tab being opened?
I traced an image earlier, expanded it then wanted to change the line colour. For some reason I couldn't get this to work even though I've done it in the past. So, I used the magic wand to select the line then dragged it into my new document and changed the line colour.

Now, I want to change the fill on certain sections, however when I change the stroke it changes the colour of the line and when I change the fill it changes the color of the line.
I just added a fill/texture to an image and now when I create more objects, the fill is still there. How can I re-set the fill gallery back to no-fill?

1. Please auto switch between Stroke fill and fill when I select text. 99% of my time is spent only using fill on text. I would rather manually switch to Stroke when I want to add a fill to it rather having to switch to fill each time.

3. Add an auto layer for Guides. When I am using the Scissors tool, the majority of the time I don't want to cut my guides up, I would rather instead cut up the shape below it. Again manually changing the layer to select the guide would be preferable.

4. I personally never use the Eraser tool and I switch to the Scissors Tool. Without fail every time I launch Illustrator I have to switch from the Eraser Tool too the Scissors tool. Please add cookies or something so I don't have to always switch to the Scissors Tool.

5. Move "Align to Pixel" toggle somewhere outside a file menu.
When i try to delete a file from LR using the delete from disk option the file does not so up in my trash. I have deleted 200 bad files and the never showed up in the trash. I have been trying to clear up some disk space but the available disk still shows the same so I know they haven't been deleted. Am using Lion on a MacBook Pro 15 and am fully updated. Am I doing something wrong?

Until yesterday I was able to delete pictures, using the contextual menu or the delete key. I got the message asking me if I wanted to delete them from disk or from the catalog.
But now, that popup message doesn't appear. The picture is not removed, just nothing happens.

I checked the logs and this is the error message:

I uninstalled LR moving it to the trash. Then I deleted the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist and I also removed the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
I rebbooted the machine and installed it again. But the issue is still there, with the same error message.

I verified the disk and checked file permissions.
I also tried to use another catalog from a backup.

Nothing, same error.

One anusual thing that I did before the error was to install the "HDRsoft Merge to 32-bit HDR Plug-in for Lightroom - Version 1.0"
I removed it but the error was still there. After the re-install I didnd't install that plug-in again so if it was the problem, it shouldn't be after the clean installation that I did again.

I have two copies of a regular Photoshop CS6, both activated. They have worked fine for a long time. But suddenly the copy on my laptop has a different start up splash screen and is now asking me to login for a trial license for Photoshop CS6 extended. It also has a 3D-menu it never had.
What happened? I did not install anything? Did something go wrong on the last update? But more important, how do I get back to my activated Photoshop CS6 non extended?

Photoshop has been acting a bit strange. When I open it, I get about a 2 to3 second white screen before Photoshop finally loads. That's new.

The only changes I have made was to install a new 2T drive, copy over information from two smaller drives and remove them. These are strictly storage drives and have nothing to do with C drive or scratch.

I also have had an unscheduled reset to defaults occur recently.Finally PS persists in unchecking Open CL.
