I have two copies of a regular Photoshop CS6, both activated. They have worked fine for a long time. But suddenly the copy on my laptop has a different start up splash screen and is now asking me to login for a trial license for Photoshop CS6 extended. It also has a 3D-menu it never had.
What happened? I did not install anything? Did something go wrong on the last update? But more important, how do I get back to my activated Photoshop CS6 non extended?
Launched Photoshop CS6 this morning, and suddenly it is a trial version of CS6 Extended. I did not ask for this, I do not want this, I bought, paid for and registered the regular version on the day it was released. I am not renting the software via that stupid creative clod thing, I bought it the regular way. What is happening here? Is this going to happen every time they release a minor update? How do I make it go away?
I purchased CS5.5 extended about 3 weeks ago and all was working fine. Just yesterday Photoshop started crashing whenever I try to open files. I've deleted preferences several times, validated my fonts, restarted my Mac, etc. all to no avail. Photoshop has become useless to me and it's part of how I make my living. InDesign seems to work OK but I haven't tried Illustrator yet.
Here is last night's crash report (half the time it crashes with no report). the Photoshop CS5.1 that I have installed on my Windows 7 64b has stopped working. It still works on my other computer though. It starts up just fine, but when I go to Open a PSD file (which I have edited here before) nothing happens -- absolutely nothing! When I try to create a new file the same nothing happens. I sure hope I don't have to reinstall or something. I don't think I've made any updates to Photoshop, it just stopped working this week for no apparent reason that I can think of. I also went back and tried my CS5 version and the same thing happens.
Currently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly. Â I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL. Â I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions. Â So, what are my options? Â Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6? Â I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.
I'm happy with the NX version, but if I want to upgrade to XT, how do I do it? I looked on the upgrade options for XT and upgrading from NX, is not there.

[code].... Â Photoshop has been acting a bit strange. When I open it, I get about a 2 to3 second white screen before Photoshop finally loads. That's new. Â The only changes I have made was to install a new 2T drive, copy over information from two smaller drives and remove them. These are strictly storage drives and have nothing to do with C drive or scratch. Â I also have had an unscheduled reset to defaults occur recently. Finally PS persists in unchecking Open CL.
All of a sudden my text is incredibly small. The resolution is set at 300. The "Resample image" box is unticked. I've tried resetting the character...still the text is smaller than it should be. For example, 8 point Times New Roman can barely be seen with the naked eye. I haven't done anything different. What gives?
I make and use brushes all the time. I don't know what happened, but yesterday, my brushes are suddenly all really tiny. The preview looks normal, (you know when you hover your mouse you see the preview size) but then when I actually click the mouse, the result is super tiny - I couldn't even see them at first. And no, I'm not using a super-sized document - just same size I always use. Seems to be with all my brushes.
I upgraded from CS5 to CS6 for my IMac. I downloaded CS6 put in my serial number and it worked fine for a number of weeks. Suddenly, when I went to use it it said it was a trial version. I had to register it to use my CS6  I registered it and it worked, but only as a trial version of CS6 Extended. I do not want CS6 Extended. I deleted it from my hard drive and once again downloaded my upgrade of CS6 again with my serial number and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Today, once again, it tells me it is a trial version and will not load unless I register the trial version. I simply want to use CS6, for which I paid.
Photoshop CS6 has suddenly failed to launch. The window (tabs, icons) open for about 3 seconds, then quits, and I get the typical error message saying that Photoshop has unexpectedly quit I'm on OS 10.6.8.
Everything was fine, but suddenly after about one month working with it, CS6 stopped launching.
Hardware: Win 7 64bit  SPANISH Photoshop CS6  US ENGLISH Hardware: Intel Core i5-2500 CPU @ 3.3GHz, 8 MB ram NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti  Appears: Error: 16 and the following images. How can I uninstall if I can not launch and deactivate first the product ?
Windows did do an update. The 32 bit version runs fine and yesterday I had no issues with anything. I guess I am asking if the Windows update could have killed it. I have removed and reinstalled. I also pulled all my filters.
Just put a fresh battery in my pen. I've got an Adesso CyberTablet 8600 which, the last time I tried to paint, which was tonight, was not recognized as a pen sensitive tablet in Photoshop. I've tried resetting the file preferences or whatever happens when you hold Ctrl Shift and Alt, still no dice. Restarted computer, still no dice. It's not the tablet; I opened up SAI to see and was able to paint with wonderful pen pressure sensitivity. This wouldn't be a problem EXCEPT -- I don't know how to paint in SAI! I want to paint in Photoshop!! Â System specs: Â Windows XP Photoshop CS3 Â I've painted many times in PS before... this seriously only JUST started happening. Usually, if pen pressure is not recognized by Photoshop, it's because I've plugged in the tablet AFTER opening the program; shutting it down, plugging the tablet in, then reopening PS does the trick. However, not so this time.
My Photoshop CS3 is suddenly refusing to launch; it gives me an error message of "Windows has detected a problem" and closes the program before it fully engages. I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall, and I've gotten the serial code sorted out, but Photoshop won't launch far enough for me to enter the code.  I don't know what to do, and I've been informed that there is no "Phone or chat" support for an older product like mine.Â
SUDDENLY nothing happens with smart object. The history adds a state,"edit contents", but ACR window never opens and now I'm screwed cuz this document has 13 SO's waiting for work. This has happened plenty in the past.  PS CC ACR 8.1... OSX.8.3
I have had PS7.0 installed on my PC for years with no issues - then suddenly today it wouldn't open - Partly loads and then says "Adobe Photoshop has Stopped working" and shows the following error: APPCRASHPhotoshop.exe7.0.0.03caf9b42ntdll.dll I have done a system restore (Vista Home Premium) until well before this issue started and it makes no difference I have uninstalled and re-installed PS7 and it makes no difference I have installed the same PS7 onto a different PC and it works fine (also running Vista HP)
I've been using CS3 forever with few problems. All of the sudden, today it quit opening images. The program loads and opens without any problem, but I can't open any images. I have rebooted about 5 times and disconnected all plug-in equipment (ipod, printer, etc.) Can anyone tell me how to fix this??
I found a thread on this topic in the Mac forum, but it hasn't helped me. The problem there seemed to be images on a disk, but the images I'm trying to open are on my harddrive.
I have PSE 8 running on my dell computer with windows 8. I have been using the program for about one month and two days ago I tried to add a dell printer. I have removed the printer from my computer and PSE still won't open. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and still no luck.  I try to open to edit opening via the program and it says that it is launching but it never opens. If I try to open PSE via a picture (right click, open with Photoshop) it gives me an error message "Photoshop Elements Editor has stopped working"
