Photoshop :: Can't Get CS6 To Bring Up Images That Are CR2 Raw Format
Sep 10, 2012
I have tried in CS5 and got nothing and upgrades to CS6 and it only tells me to check the plugin and make sure you have the right version. for CR2 that verion is 4.1.CS6 comes with verion 7.0.xxx what is going on. this should flow smoothly.
As you will see from my attached image all of my open images are now sitting outside of the screen. To get them to appear on the screen again I have to hold down the PS logo at the bottom of my screen, which then brings them up as per the image, then click to select an image. This then brings it onto the main screen. But I have to do this with each image individually. How to bring them all up at once? Or how to turn off this feature completely?
LR 2.7 does not bring up images from Nikon D7100 which I have just purchased. I have downloaded latest DNG raw converter 7.4 but does not work. The images come through fine in Bridge but not Lightroom.
We have a computer that using AutoCAD Architecture 2013 and Acrobat 9 Standard. When printing a large sheet (30"x42") with images in it to a PDF the images do not appear in the newly created PDF. However, if the same file is printed to fit an 11x17 the images display correctly. Any thoughts as to why the large sheet size is not printing properly?
i have a nikon coolscan 4000EED scanner with a batch adaptor. When I save as NEF files I cant open them in photoshop. I have tried convetrting them to DNG files with the Adobe DNG converter but this doesnt work either.
I have some fotos that are apparently too small for the 1920 x 1080 format of my film.
What do I need to master about the relationship between three items (canvas size, image size, and document size) so that I can smoothly resize a bunch of images in Photoshop for export into Premiere Pro in that 1920 x 1080 format?
I will be constraining my proportions... if the images are too big, I will do a Ken Burns "zoom out" effect in the film.
I'm still using PSP X3. What format more knowledgeable people for me use for editing images.
In the past, I'd take the jpeg produced by my camera, convert it to PSP format, and then when finally finished, save it as jpeg again.
I understand that the PSP format is no longer used, so should I just work in jpeg format? My understanding is that any intermediate saving would compromise image quality; if not jpeg, then what?
I'm having trouble getting GIMP 2 to save some of my images with their transparency intact in .png format.
I've already performed the process of adding alpha layers and then removing the area I want to be transparent and then I've exported several images which have successfully retained their transparency.
I have three images, no different from any of the other twnty or so, that when I export them, do not retain ther transparency and instead fill in the entire background with white.
I've done other images before and since these three adn can't figure out why they're giving me trouble.
I like to repair books with missing pages. Often I can get digital images in tiff or PDF format, but they are often 'dirty', like the one attached. This one seems a good example of the sort of thing I would need to work on.
I need to reconstruct the image, which I think would mean: i) getting an image that is complete and rectangular with a bleed out of in the same colour. ii) remove blemishes like library marks, names etc. iii) reconstruct the decayed text as sensitively as possible.
I am doing some freelance work and the client sent me several .ai files. They were a mess, and should have been created in InDesign to begin with, so I transferred them over. At the time, I copied and pasted the links, but of course, the images don't show up in the links panel in InDesign. I'm assuming this will be an issue for printing, is that right?
I went to find the original links, and couldn't find them anywhere in the folders I was given. When I looked at the .ai files I was given, I found out that the images were embedded. When I select an image, I cannot choose to "update link" or "edit original." Those options are grayed out.
How do I get those embedded images to InDesign in an appropriate format for printing?
Exporting large file sizes. In short I'm trying to export some images for large format printing but am having trouble preparing the right size in LR4.
Specifically I'm trying to produce w 30" x h 20" images. I understand that to do this I'll need a image that is 9000 x 6000 pixels set at 300 ppi. My problem is that when I export this, with the dimensions set to width and height in pixels and resize unchecked LR4 produces an image that is 9000 x 4887?
what i'm doing wrong here? Is it simply that the aspect ratio of image is wrong to produce this size image? My concern is not producing an exact file size for printing.
I manage a website and I have to resize bundles of images frequently. I find it a problem in Paint Shop Pro X5 that every time I resize an image it shows as a tiny thumbnail. This causes me to go to the 'view' toolbar and then from the dropdown box have to click 'zoom to 100%'
How do I format PSP X5 to automatically show resized images at 100%?
I have about 300 images, all exactly the same sizes, in Jpeg format that I need to apply a distort (shear) to and wondered if there was a way to do this in batch??
I want to change the names of my files to YYYMMDD-City-State, type of format.. I tried using the file naming template but all that show on the photos is the date.file extension.
I am working on a 3' x 10' banner with 300dpi in Photoshop and it takes all of my time to do the extra tools to do, and it takes 10 minutes to save it or more. I have powerbook and CS6 on me. I put the highest memory in Photoshop preference. So I am bearing to work with it for hours for one small assignment, but why does it takes so long? is there a better way to do to save time and speed to make the poster banner to look greater than life? even in 200 dpi?
I have an image that I removed the background of and then used Refine Edge to place the newly masked image onto a new layer. I now want to take this newly masked image, scale it down a bit, and bring it into another .PSD. When I copy and paste or drag the layer onto the other .PSD it is not bringing the masked image, but something else. I tried selecting both thumnbails of the layer first though that did not work.
I see photographers having nice sun flares in their pictures. All warm and pretty and what not. How do I do the same? is this a feature in Photoshop cs6 or in light room?
Yes i could open illustrator and bring art in photoshop. But that's very annoying there are things that i like about photoshop and there are that i like about illustrator so my opinion is to make a new version that have both this way it won't offend people who dont like what i like.
Photoshop: -line tool is bad. -Lacks much of the basic vector tools, which most are available in illustrator. (line width change, pen pressure dependent, smooth) -choosing color is much easier than illustrator. More sensible -You can more easily draw gradients on shapes.
Illustrator: -make lines that are trully art of work. -merge, combine seperate shapes just by overlaying them.
Basically, most tools in PS are great but it lacks a lot in vector area. I also like transform tool. I want all capabilities of illustrator on top of photoshop's but with some improvements at illustrator side. So i don't want adobe to bring bad things about illustrator in photoshop and break it.
It's also a purple color between light and dark purple, and was inserted right over top of a pink wall.
It's not a high-quality image. I'd really like to bring that text out and make it visible. Can anybody help me? I'm not a very experienced photoshop user, but I thought to myself "If anything can bring that text out, photoshop can do it."
I am really enjoying Photoshop CS6 and familiarizing myself with some of the new features and changes. Love the new user interface and the speed. But miss some of the control layouts in CS5. For example the CS5 Crop tool with the ability to specify the size of the crop along with setting the resolution.
This was a great productivity tool cropping for a specific Matt window and the final resolution for print. With CS6 we have the size parameters but the resolution box is buried menu item. Is there any way to bring the resolution box back to the crop tool bar?
I didn't have a problem bringing the photo back with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 back to Aperture. I am having a problem with Adobe photoshop Elements 12 bring the photo back to Aperture. In Aperture preferences I am pointed to the Adobe Photoshop elements 12 app in the Support file.
