Photoshop :: Emulate Effect Of Image Without Having To Resort To Using Slide-projector
Jan 24, 2013
I want to emulate the effect of this image without having to resort to using a slide-projector, is this something that can be done with software? I know I can just overlay a bunch of graphic light effects, but what about articulating the random curves of shape and form?
I'm trying to emulate the idea that is on this image in a little project of mine. At first, I thought about drawing a rectangle in a layer, rotate it a bit, and put several images underneath it; I thought I would get the film reel effect that way. But it's happening that way, so far ...
I tried using Clipping Masks, but they also didn't work. And if transforming the rectangle in a Work Path would be a good approach, much less how to actually do it.
I've been trying now for about 3 months to print black onto a 30mm circle on transparency paper to go on an overhead projector, every time i print, it comes out a mucky grey color, there MUST be a way of printing a BLACK black?
I am using the Nikon Super CoolScan8000 and Vuescan program to scan a slide film. I am scanning at this setting: scan resolution 4000 dpi. I have to make it a certain dimension that someone has been asking me for. They want the image at Width = 60cm (approx. 23 inches) and 300 dpi. Â When I scan at 4000 dpi, I'm not sure what size to make the printed width. I have experimented numerous times and I've had no luck with getting exactly what I want. It seems that when I make the width 60 cm (the height adjusts proportionately) and the dpi at 300, the quality is not that great, which it definitely needs to be because it will be printed at a large size. Â PS I am using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and I also have Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.
I loaded Photoshop 10 and then imported/moved my catalogs from Photoshop 6. They are all scrambled - do not honor import dates/sequence and have dates and file names all intermingled. It is really a screwed up mess. I haven't found a way to unscrew it! - Or tell me I get to live with it!Â
There is either deterioration, or some mold on the slide I scanned.
I am having trouble restoring the image, to get rids of all the dark splotches that are readily apparent in the air.
I am just not getting a handle on the clone tools.

Right now - I am thinking the best course of action is to cut out the sky, and reinsert a gradient. I am using Fluid Mask 3.0 right now to see what I can cut-out. But - I'd rather just be able to restore the image
EDIT - I did some major work on the file with Photoshop Elements Spot Healing Brush. Does Photo Paint have anything like it?
My logo is made of 9 boxes. I want to create an intro where the blocks of the logo are joining / sliding from different directions outside the view to make one image (full logo image).Like in PowerPoint but in a biot more controlled way.
i love the ctrl+click in the curve dialog in photoshop cs6 is missing  is there a shortcut to enable it or enable/disable targeted adjustament tool ?   windows 7 64bit , cs6 64bit last updates
i'm trying to emulate the shadow and highlight on this apple icon:-
i am trying to create this shadow on text, so have tried the various drop shadows, inner and outer shadows, glows etc but to nothing resembling the shadow / highlights on this icon.
Since the AeccLandFeatureline object doesn't have an offset method, how is this done? All I can think of is to convert the F/L to a LWPolyline, offset the polyline, create a new F/L from the offset polyline, set the new F/L elevations using the SetElevationsFromOffsetSource() method, and finally raise/lower the new F/L using the RaiseFeatureline() method.
I'm running Gimp 2.8.4 on Ubuntu 13.04 Linux (64-bit) and I'm trying touse the "Bevel and Emboss" layer effect on an image which I copied fromanother image. Here is what I've done:
1. Loaded image 'A' into Gimp 2. Selected a portion of it 3. Used "/Edit/Copy" to copy the selection 4. Used "/Edit/Paste As/New image" to create a new image from the selection 5. In the new window for the new image, "/FX-Foundry/Layer effects/Bevel and Emboss" 6. When the "Bevel and Emboss" window opens, I accept the defaults and click "Ok"
The filter starts to run and then stops with an error message. Here is the message I get:
------------ START ------------------
Bevel and Emboss Message
Error while executing script-fu-layer-effects-bevel-and-emboss:
Error: ( : 1) Procedure execution of gimp-selection-layer-alpha failed on invalid input arguments: Item 'Pasted Layer copy' (87) cannot be used because it has not been added to an image
I have PS CS3 Extended on Windows XP with 2 G RAM.
I want to make a DVD slide show for my sister's funeral. I have all the images scanned into PS, but cannot find a way to convert to a slide show and transfer to a DVD.
I'm trying to buy some software that you can build a photo slideshow on (that's the easy bit), but the one main feature I want is the ability to tick a box and the photos change in time with the beat of the music. Now before one of you clever people suggest that most softwear does this..... they don't. What most of them do is change the duration of your slideshow to match the length of your selected music, so they all end together. I want that, but also want the photos to move and change to the 'beat' of the track. I know that I could do this manually on a timeline, but this is very time consuming and hence the ticky box option,
i'm looking for a way to create an image of a tear. its difficult to explain,
basically, think about a normal 8.5x11 piece of paper. now imagine somone throws a golf ball at the middle of the paper. the ball goes through and creates a hole in the middle with torn edges. i'm looking for an image with that effect.
the main reason i'm looking for this is that i want to get a tatoo on my back that looks like my skin tore like that piece of paper and that you could see inside. inside I would have a brazilian flag.
the jist is that I want it to look like I have the brazilian flag inside of me....
I am trying to use the web photo gallery with Photoshop 7. If you select the bottom option something like vertical slide gallery it will automatically change every 10 seconds. How do I change that 10 seconds to something like 4 or 5 seconds. I can't find anywhere to do this.
In Photoshop 7, running XP. I was wondering if there is some way to send someone the index.html file over email & have them be able to see the slideshow by using the Automate>Web Photo Gallery option. If not is there another way to create a slideshow in Photoshop so it can be emailed & viewable without posting to a webpage? Or would I have better luck with just using a .pdf?
how to add captions to a slide show (under preferences) but I would like to know if you can add the photo name to it (Besides the obvious of copying the name to the caption)? I'm using Photoshop Elements 6.0 on Windows Vista. What I need to do is take the photos, put them in a slide show, and give to a friends family so she and they can look at them and pick out which one(s) they want to print.
