In pse 11 my videos in organizer will not preview. Says quicktime is not installed. But it is. Not in pse my videos will preview when i double click but they do so in windows media player. How do i get quicktime to work in pse? In pse i get a notice that some files are not assigned to quicktime. It says do i want to assign them to quicktime and i say yes.
View 5 RepliesI have Premier Elements and Photoshop Elements. The videos in Pemier Elements play ok and when I click on them Windows Media Player plays them ok, but the Organizer in Photoshop says I don't have the right decompression software to display them.

Unfortunately PE 11 Organizer doesn't seem to see those on import? Any suggestions on how to make that happen? I am looking for ways to search for video clips and import the search results into Premiere Elements. Unfortunately there is no direct way to go from Bridge to Premiere Elements either.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried to compile videos in Quick time format at 800 x 600, 65% quality, using MPEG4 compression and each time it compiles at a much lower resolution than it should be, I used the Indeo compression for AVI and THAT compiles to my liking at 800 x 600, 65% quality, DivX is only free for 15 days, Xvid and Windows Encoder makes no difference (that can be noticed), Quicktime, DirectX and Windows Media Player is up to date.
I'll try compiling it using a compressor other than MPEG-4, but I'm not too hopeful of improvement, why it can compile AVI, but not Quicktime, I tried batch converting AVI to Quicktime, it still doesn't work.

AutoCAD 2013 installed as expected but I can not run the Flash based introduction movies.
I am a new to AutoCAD, have never used to program before and would like to switching the "preferences" (which I can't find) to a better browser like Google Chrome.
Suggestion for Autodesk: Please dump IE in favor or propper browsers. IE has never and will never work properly.
In conclusion: How can I get the Flash videos to work. Where do I register the software?
Because of the above issues, I've installed AutoCAD 2013 on my iMac and everything is running as expected. I am more of a Linux/OS X user and have limited experience with Microsoft products.
I tried reimporting the video and translating it to another format, I've rendered it fully, and deleted temp files and re-rendered it. I rebuilt the video from scratch in a new sequence created from the clip (all clips were screencaptured using Camstudio so they're the same exact format as each other.
But I still have constant problems with videos not playing properly in preview. The last time I had this problem, they rendered that way too. When I hit the spacebar to view the video, it shows a bit of the video, then rewinds and plays the same section over and over, moving a little further forward each time. Basically "rubberbanding".

I have plenty of hard drive space and 8 gb of ram. I do have browsers open which use a lot of memory, but all the other clips are working so that doesn't seem like it should be an issue.I'm not using any kinds of plugins or third-party things.
Shutting other memory hogging programs and restarting Premiere.Things that seem to hurt: using the time slider to increase or decrease speed of the video.
The videos were from Fuji X100, Nikon D7000, Sony NEX-7. No matter how many different phrases I google, I could not find any info on this issue. This is a bug that needs to be fixed ASAP unless Adobe is giving up on video in LR.

By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !

It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.

When I create a show and burn a DVD and play it on the TV the stills are so fuzzy it hurts my eyes to lool at them. The video segments are crystal clear and sharp. Once in awhile the still photos come out clear.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded to Photoshop and Premiere Elements 12. Decided to use Elements Organizer for the first time starting with a completely new Catalog.
I selected a subset of my photos to just check it out -- a folder with 3 subfolders. I am certain there are zero duplicates in my Windows file structure. After "Get Photos and Videos" "From Files and Folders..." the import occured quickly but all 3 subfolders were duplicated under "My Folders". Photos were also duplicated.
It's not too bad that My Folder shows dupes but the images are considered 100% different between. For example, if I tag 1 photo, the same one in the duplicate folder still needs tagged. I should not need to run a duplicate image search either when the source folder contains no duplicates. This is really disconcerting as I have nearly 20K photos (I scanned every photo my mom and dad took from the past 30 years). Cleanup of false dupes in something that large is just rediculous.
Is this a bug? May-be an intentional function of the program?
