I am creating my first slideshow from Photoshop Elements 10 and get the error message that the proper codec is not installed. I have already converted the original .m4a file to .mp3, and that .mp3 file will play in Windows Media Player. But I cannot add it to my show.

Befoer I bought the program I made sure that it said it would work with .avi files. When I try to upload an avi it says "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed".
How do I obain and install the required codec? I have already loaded up all the software that came with the camer, and that software works fine; I assume it already has the required codec. But how can I get Elements to use the codec?
I have installed the Canon camera software, Gspot and Quicktime. When I started computer next morning, it works!?

Not in pse my videos will preview when i double click but they do so in windows media player. How do i get quicktime to work in pse? In pse i get a notice that some files are not assigned to quicktime. It says do i want to assign them to quicktime and i say yes.
