Photoshop Elements :: Adding Audio To Slideshow - No Correct Compression File Installed?
Jan 20, 2013
I'm trying to add audio to a slide show. I've done it before on this computer with no problem, but now it's telling me I don't have the correct compression files installed on my computer.Â
I can add an audio to my slieshow. After that I cannot run the audio nor the slide show. the program crashes. I took screenshots of the error messages.
I am creating my first slideshow from Photoshop Elements 10 and get the error message that the proper codec is not installed. I have already converted the original .m4a file to .mp3, and that .mp3 file will play in Windows Media Player. But I cannot add it to my show. Â
I am trying to make a slide show using my newly purchased photoshop elements 11 and I cannot get it to add any audio. It does not recognize any of my files. I know there must be a way to do this but cannot figure it out.
I've created a slide show and have attempted to insert an audio mp3 file. Audio file shows that it has been added to slide show but it wil not play.  I've added the mp3 multiple ways, by using the add media -- audio from element organizer as well as by add media ---audio from file but it won't play  MP3 plays fine when I click on it from the organizer.  I've tested the mp3's that came with elements 11 and they play fine. What's the deal?
I upgraded to Windows8 and moved all my files over from Photoshop. Now I'm trying to add audio to a slideshow and it wont let me add the audio file because it is in m4a format. All my music is in itunes and I can see the music, but it won't let me add it.
Installed the latest 2.8.4 build for WIN 32 bit. This newly installed version only recognizes the .xcf file type; it will not save to, or load any of my numerous files saved as .xcf.gz
The message I get is:
The given filename does not have any known file extension. enter a known file extension or select a file format from the file format list.
The file format list only contains .xcf
I've uninstalled and reinstalled with a fresh download, with the same results.
After I set my render settings in the render queue for h.264 movie the sound sample rate always jump back to the lowest quality and I can't export the movie with the sound qulity I want to.
I am creating video in FLV (custome mode). The only audio compression option is PCM which makes video too big.
How do I add different audio compression codec for FLV video? With other video formats/codecs mpeg-4 I have many moore audio compression options, but not for FLV.
How I can add an edited audio file to a MP4 video file? The problem is that the MP4 video already has audio files included with the import. I want to change those file and add the edited files. It seems that I can't delete or cut the audio files out of the video clip to add the edited version. By the way I am using Corel Video Studio Pro X3
I have thousands of tiff files in my LR 4.1 catalog. I'd like to convert all of these files to tiffs that use zip compression. Preferably, I'd like to do the conversion in-place but LR won't allow me to overwrite the originals in-place. Â So, I think I have to either export all of the images and either add them to the catalog during the export process *or* manually import them again. Â I do *not* want to lose any of the LR edits I've made to these files and I think I will do exactly that if I use either of the conversion methods I noted above.
I'm using Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer with Premiere Elements10 Installed. I have a number of files of type MTS which I understand to be AVCHD and are imported from my Panasonic Lumix TZ20 camera which captures HD video. These files will not play in the Organizer, resulting in a message stating the required Codec is missing. However, when the same file is sent to Premiere Elements for Editingand agreeing to a message to have Premiere set the correct properties for the media type it plays perfectly. What am I do wrong? Are there any settings I need to change to have Organizer also play the file successfully?
I created a slide show in Elements 9. the show worked normally when viewed as a slide show, but when saved it as a wmv file, some of the pictures were completely black. How can I correct this ?
Spent 9 hrs creating a slideshow that I saved. Closed PSE 11 and reopened and can no longer find the slideshow. When I select Find, Media type, Project, nothing appears, but there is a gray box in my grid that says "File size too large". Is this my slideshow and if so how can I recover it?
Slideshow Creation: I'd like to make a slideshow DVD for Xmas to give out. I've made a lot of movies with VS but never a slide show and in fact i've never created a slideshow in any program.
Is this possible in VS10 or would it be better to use DVDLab Pro for this? If VS10 is sufficient to do this (just a fairly basic slideshow NOT HD). I really can't grasp it from the Manual since it really isn't covered in detail there (or did i miss it?) I'm looking to see what types of photos/graphics files and what resolution as well as a HOW TO. I'm clueless about slideshow creation.
Audio DVD Creation:
I do seem to recall that i did this once in VS10 - or was this a dream? Is there any tutorial on this as well?
I have added audio into my composition which is 3:43 long but it says the composition is only 30 seconds long shoud it not automatically update? Â Also when i render it , it still comes out as 30 seconds as well
When creating slideshows in Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0 I do not get any audio/music in the .pdf file. Â I can get audio in preview and if I create a .wmv file but not in the .pdf file.
I have tried to add the document as a trusted document in the preferences.
I have tried with Adobe reader 7.0, 9 and X. Nothing works.
Note: My music is longer than the slideshow since I would like music during the whole slideshow. It is one music file. I run on a PC, Windows XP, service pack 3.
I have completed a slide show and added 3 songs. The songs are showing up on the audio bar at the bottom, but when I do full-screen preview there is no audio. My speakers are working fine, i'm able to play songs from other programs. I am working in PS Elements 9 on Windows 7.  And another question, if i want to burn the slide show onto a DVD - what type should I buy?
I have CS3 extended and have been compiling a series of high resolution photographs into one layer in photoshop. I have copy and pasted each photo and then stitched them together resulting in a file that is 1.35Gb. I want to compress the file, keeping the resolution as high as possible, so it is easier to use in illustrator and import into ArcGIS. I have tried saving the file as a jpg, pdf and tiff with variable compression qualities. As soon as i open the image up in a different programme and zoom in I loose the picture, eitehr to a blank screen or a message saying 'invalid format/picture'. Opening the file and saving is taking so long too do as well...
