I upgraded to Windows8 and moved all my files over from Photoshop. Now I'm trying to add audio to a slideshow and it wont let me add the audio file because it is in m4a format. All my music is in itunes and I can see the music, but it won't let me add it.

My speakers are working fine, i'm able to play songs from other programs. I am working in PS Elements 9 on Windows 7.
And another question, if i want to burn the slide show onto a DVD - what type should I buy?

When I create a Video File using the "Custom" avi (Xvid) option, it doesn't matter which Audio format and setting I select ( and I have tried them all !) when I play the file on my TV ( Panasonic - New) I get a message that the Audio file is unsupported, and there is no audio.
