I upgraded to Windows8 and moved all my files over from Photoshop. Now I'm trying to add audio to a slideshow and it wont let me add the audio file because it is in m4a format. All my music is in itunes and I can see the music, but it won't let me add it.

I've added the mp3 multiple ways, by using the add media -- audio from element organizer as well as by add media ---audio from file but it won't play
MP3 plays fine when I click on it from the organizer.
I've tested the mp3's that came with elements 11 and they play fine. What's the deal?

Is this possible in VS10 or would it be better to use DVDLab Pro for this? If VS10 is sufficient to do this (just a fairly basic slideshow NOT HD). My speakers are working fine, i'm able to play songs from other programs. I am working in PS Elements 9 on Windows 7.
And another question, if i want to burn the slide show onto a DVD - what type should I buy?
Is there an add on, or any way to export a slideshow to a DVD format, instead of an MP4? I use a 3rd party program to do this conversion now.

When I create a Video File using the "Custom" avi (Xvid) option, it doesn't matter which Audio format and setting I select ( and I have tried them all !) when I play the file on my TV ( Panasonic - New) I get a message that the Audio file is unsupported, and there is no audio.
