Photoshop Elements :: Format Captions For Photos To Be Placed In Slideshow / Print
Nov 4, 2012
I'm using PSE 10 with Windows 7, and I'd like to change the formatting of the captions on the photos I've got in slide shows, and those I'd like to print, i.e., change fonts, size, centered, etc. I've checked various manuals, online sources, and haven't found info on this.
I found a forum entry about changing the font size of captions in a slide show in PSE9. The fixer said there was no global fix to change the default font size for captions in PSE9. Is there a way to do that in PSE12? When my captions show up on the screen in PSE12, they are so small I can barely read them. I would like them all to be larger.
On PSE12, can I make the caption I have given a photo to appear on thumbnail within an album? Is it possible to not have the # of the photo within the album to appear in the upper left corner of the thumbnail?
I upgraded to Windows8 and moved all my files over from Photoshop. Now I'm trying to add audio to a slideshow and it wont let me add the audio file because it is in m4a format. All my music is in itunes and I can see the music, but it won't let me add it.
In making a slideshow the default format appears to be .wmv. I have devices that do not recognize either .wmv files or the release that is used in Elements 11. Can I choose to save my slideshow as a .mp4 or .avi format directly from Elements 11?
I am putting together a slideshow for my son's high school graduation and I've scanned lots of old photos (as JPEGs) into my computer. They are, of course, all different sizes and my question is what size or ratio do I use when I crop/resize them in Photoshop so that they will be uniform and the right size for a slide show?
I am using Photoshop elements 10 with windows 7 on my Toshiba laptop.
I am trying to make a slide show of photos for my brother's funeral. The photos will be shown on a screen at the church and on a TV monitor at home. I was used to Photoshop 4, but had purchased but not really used Photoshop Elements 10. I am about 1000 miles away from home so I cannot go back to try to using Photoshop 4 which is not on this laptop. I don't think I want to change (i.e. resample) the pixels, etc.
I have put into order all of the photos. However, the photos are of varying sizes. The photos taken digitally are fine. However, I have a lot of photos take a long time ago for like 3X3 or 2X3, i.e. like in the 50's - 90's, which were scanned. Then provided to me in a variety of ways. Coming to me they are small on the page. ie like in one corner. I am not trying to shrink these photos. I am trying to resize them larger. And probably get rid of most of the white background.
I have been on the phone for a few hours to Adobe but they are stil investigating. When I produce a slide show using Elements 11 the pictures are no way near as clear as they appear in the folders. I just want to show my pictures without them looking like crap. They were taken using the highest quality photo on the camera, which is a new Nikon and look great when viewing through Elements Organiser. They also look amazing in the original source, eg My Pictures files. When making slide show it asks the quality and I select high.
Is it possible to display the 'shot date' of photos witin a Slideshow. In showing a slideshow, I'm being asked; "when was that pix taken?". It would answer these questions by having the shot date shown.
I have a Windows 7 computer and use Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9. I recently completed a slideshow that contains about 360 photos, many or all of which exceed the maximum size of 1000 x 750 pixels. Is there any way that I can easily reduce the pixel size of each of the photos? If upgrading to the most recent versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements would accomplish this I would be willing to do this.
How do I get my photos to format as an jpg? After resizing and enhancing and then saving, when I try to post them to an ebay auction they are still the same as before. I was told that I had to change to a jpg. How do I do that? I am using elements 11
I have added closed captions to my Premiere Pro project took bloody ages and all looks and runs great within the project. Simple white captions over the video.
Although, when I render the video out with the closed captions embedded within the video, cirtain captions seem to have slightly "dodgy" formatting when played back in quick time player.
Some sections of the captions have a black background on and some do not. As I previously mentioned the captions are all fine within the project. It just seems to happen on the render file
I'm making a documentary with subtitled footage. A translator has used closed captions within Premiere to create the subtitles for me.
Now I need some way of formatting them. I have the full Adobe CC suite (including After Effects and Premiere) but haven't been able to find a way to convert or export Premiere Closed Captions into a way that allows me to format them (ie change font, size etc).
I need to open my photos for the project I am working on in camera raw format to access the editing options I need. I repeat the same steps but they only open up in that format about half the time.
I have a few queries about Captions. How do I get the captions to print properly underneath the photographs when it is in landscape layout?I can do it if the photograph is in Portrait orintation. If it is in Landscape layout (i.e. rotate to fit is selected) so the photo fills the A4 sheet, the captions do not rotate with the photograph so they are at 90 degrees to the photo & look silly plus it is hard to read sideways if the photo is the right way up.
Also, is it possible to record data in custom fields & get these to print out underneath the photograph?
What I am trying to do is this: I have photographs from the local drama group. I want to record in the caption field the list of names of the people appearing gin the photo. Ideally I want to record the name of the play in a separate field & also print this out under the photo, or do I need to put everything into the caption field? So far I have just been adding keywords - I have one hierarchical list for the names of the plays and another list of the names of the people so each photo is tagged. Next stage is to go back through & add the captions.
Wondering how to best format prints for printer to avoid visible edge loss in printing. I have color borders on the photos, H & V.Do I subtract a 1/4th inch from each side while formatting? Order with "border" and cut the border?
Prints will be mounted on standzard 16 x20 backboard.
how I add captions to my photos? I have looked in the support. Read another discussion but option not coming up on my screen. I read that there should be an option in the metadata menu. But nothing comes up. Only camera settings and such.
