Photoshop Elements :: Opening Photos In Camera Raw Format
Oct 11, 2012
I need to open my photos for the project I am working on in camera raw format to access the editing options I need. I repeat the same steps but they only open up in that format about half the time.
I am using Windows 7 32 bit system with 4GB ram and graphics accelerator.I have Photoshop CS5.1 installed in the same system at it works perfectly.
What happens is when I use the B+W function, I get an error message saying that I have not enough ram. After that, when I open the next photo with Camera Raw, the raw image will not open.
I have already maximised the Ram that Photoshop can use to 1.7GB and there is more than enough space in my scratch disk.
I just puchased a canon rebel t4i. Elements 10 does not recognized the camera's RAW file format. When will Adobe provide support for the rebel t4i RAW files in Elements 10?
upgrading to either one of these products as my current versions do not appear to support the panasonic raw file format rw2 but would like to know if the latest versions do support this format before I buy.
Why does the image quality seem to get worse in Elements 11 once the image is opened up after editing from Camera RAW? The image looks great in the RAW screen, then once opened in Photo editor it seems pixelated, smooth lines look jagged. Is it something I am doing wrong?
How do I get my photos to format as an jpg? After resizing and enhancing and then saving, when I try to post them to an ebay auction they are still the same as before. I was told that I had to change to a jpg. How do I do that? I am using elements 11
I have PSE 9 with RAW update 6.5 installed and have the following cameras Canon G11, Powershot S100, and Sony NEX-7 all on the camera supported list. Checked in "PSE 9 help" under "system" and it shows thar Raw 6.5 has benn installed but I still can not open Raw photos from any of the cameras.
Or do I have to open each photo individually? I've taken four or five of each subject, so I would like to be able to whizz through them to see which one is best before I start working on it.
I'm using PSE 10 with Windows 7, and I'd like to change the formatting of the captions on the photos I've got in slide shows, and those I'd like to print, i.e., change fonts, size, centered, etc. I've checked various manuals, online sources, and haven't found info on this.
When I try to transfer photos from my Olympus SZ-12 camera, I get a message that the transfer failed because the files are not supported. It is the same camera I have used may times before and the photos are jpeg format. How can I fix this?
Only photo's and not video's download from my Sony camera into Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. Why? And how do I download video's from my camera into Adobe Photoshop Elements !2.
How do I open photos in Elements 10 from iphoto? I keep getting the message "could not complete your request because of program error" I'm working on a new Mac OS that I purchased only about one month ago and I installed a brand new version of Elements 10.
I have a Canon G15, Elements 9, Windows 7.My photos weren't opening in Raw "cannot open because its the wrong type of file". I did some research and downloaded the 7.3 update.I still can't open a raw file from elements. Same error message. But I can separately use the DNG converter.Shouldn't the converter be integrated with Elements, so I wouldn't have to do a separate conversion, just click on the raw file?
I have scanned hundreds of photos and have put them on cd to view on the tv. I have adjusted some in photoshop and saved as jpgs but for some reason the ones that I have adjusted wont open on the tv. I am wasting discs.
I have been using PSE 11 on an old XP pc for a couple of months - slowly. Assembled new pc around Intel 4770K (using on-chip Intel 4600 graphics) with Windows 8 64bit. When I open any photo file in the Editor, there is no error mesage, but the photo does not open. The same photos are displayed in the PSE Organizer.
I have read about updating video drivers and have done that. After doing another round of video driver updates this morning while on phone line with Adobe Support, I was able to open a couple of files, but then shut down and went to work.
Now after booting up again PSE is back to not displaying the open files again. The installed video driver remains the one installed this morning after which this did work. There are no more newer versions.
I assembled this pc for this purpose - having thousands of old slides and film to digitize and cleanup.
Also - the files that fail to open are logged into history and show in the editor Open menu as recent files, even though they have never actually been opened.
I have PSE 10 and I recently decided to start some shooting in RAW. However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.
I just have bought new camera NIKON 3200 and I have Photoshop cs5. The problem is that I cant edit pictures RAW format in my Photoshop program cs5. I upgrade camera raw 6.7.0339 and it doesn't work.
I am using Photoshop Elements 11, using WIndows 7 Operating System. I have a new camera Canon Rebel T5i, and having problem viewing images in raw format (cr2).Message in PE11, states, "Camera model not supported by installed version of Camera raw."
Canon software views images. Suspect my minimum camera raw plug in version does not support this new camera..I am unable to locate in the software any menu item that allows me to view the camera raw plug in version.
