Photoshop Elements :: Photos Fail To Transfer To From Camera?
Feb 1, 2013
When I try to transfer photos from my Olympus SZ-12 camera, I get a message that the transfer failed because the files are not supported. It is the same camera I have used may times before and the photos are jpeg format. How can I fix this?
I found a thread where it says it's not possible to open multiple images in PSE-11's Camera Raw. But I would like to transfer the adjustments I make for one image in camera raw to another image. Is that possible?
I am running Mac OS 10.6.3 and Photoshop CS 5.When I go to the Adobe application software updates manager it says update failed..Is there a known issue with these versions? Also, where can I see what my latest camera raw update that has been installed?
How can I transfer some photos from PE11 to be saved on my new IPad? I know I can use Adobe Revel but that relies on an Internet connection. The person I wish to show the photos do not have internet connection.
I am currently using PE6 in an old XP PC and want to use the same PE6 software in my new Windows 7 PC. The sheer number of photos (>12K) make it nearly impossible to reorganize and retag everything from scratch!! If a newer PE version would avoid these problems, I would consider upgrading. I can't believe the Adobe hasn't been asked this question before, but I have been unable to locate any relevant information on their website.
Can I transfer photos including the metadata and tags from Elements 4 (windows XP) to a Mac running the Maverick OS and Lightroom. If so what is the best process.
I have PSE 9 with RAW update 6.5 installed and have the following cameras Canon G11, Powershot S100, and Sony NEX-7 all on the camera supported list. Checked in "PSE 9 help" under "system" and it shows thar Raw 6.5 has benn installed but I still can not open Raw photos from any of the cameras.
Or do I have to open each photo individually? I've taken four or five of each subject, so I would like to be able to whizz through them to see which one is best before I start working on it.
Only photo's and not video's download from my Sony camera into Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. Why? And how do I download video's from my camera into Adobe Photoshop Elements !2.
I need to open my photos for the project I am working on in camera raw format to access the editing options I need. I repeat the same steps but they only open up in that format about half the time.
I have PSE 10 and I recently decided to start some shooting in RAW. However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.
I insert an SDHC card into a card reader, LR starts, reads the photos and generates a preview so I can select which photos to import. I click on import and LR shows a progress bar that proceeds too quickly. When the progress bar completes LR informs me:
"The following files were not imported because they could not be read. (50)"
50 is the count of files that "could not be read".
1. LR read the files to generate the previews.
2. I can read the files with Explorer and copy them to folders.
3. I can then tell LR to add the folders that I copied to the files to and LR can read them just fine.
This behavior is consistent across multiple SD cards from different cameras with different formats of files (jpeg, nef, mov).
I am running Windows 7.1 64-bit with a quad core i7 and 12GB of memory.
Scenario: I'm out in the field filling memory cards and reviewing them on my secondary PC (laptop), marking & editing various images at night. I do not manage to import all of the photos off of all of my cards (and can't due to disk space requirements). I want to keep the edits and work (and images, due to running out of cards I formated some of them that I _knew_ were in the LR catalogue AND backed up onto other devices).
I get home to my primary PC and export the laptop catalouge and then import it, WIN. I start importing images from cards that ARE NOT IN THE CATALOUGE, also WIN. I put in a card that has AT LEAST _SOME_ (but not necessarily all) images in the exported catalouge. Lightroom FAILS to notice that images that were imported FROM THE SAME CARD into the Laptop & Desktop with THE SAME CATALOUGE are duplicates!
What I want to do is to BE SURE that all of my images are in my primary/desktop catalouge WITHOUT dupes. I want to insert the memory card and have LR import ONLY THE ONES IT DOES NOT ALREADY have. This seems like somehting LR should automagically support, but apparently not. How do I accomplish what I want to do without doing something rediculous like importing everything regardless, then buying a de-duping tool, deleting the duplicate images using file system tools, then removing the not found images manually from LR?
I have a large number of digital images that were batched in through automatic redeye removal, and now have eyes that look sightless! Is there a fix for this issue? I have Photoshop 6, 9, and 12. I am also just a beginner. I have tried the cloe stamp, but not effectively.
