Photoshop Elements :: Skew To Correct Converging Verticals?
Oct 19, 2012
In Photoshop when I skewed to correct converging verticals, then I needed to free transform to get the verticals to the right height again. Then I changed the canvas size to include all the photo. I can't figure out how to do this in Elements.
I came across a new tool in PS CS6, which has been introduced in this new version that can be used to correct converging verticals. I used it a couple of times in the past and now forgot its name and how to access it.
Basically it allows me to place lines on my picture that are supposed to be parallel and the tool them straightens out the picture intelligently without distorting it too much. It is ideal to correct edges of buildings that seem to converge.
I am familiar with Free Transform and basic Lens Correction filter, so I am pretty sure it was not one of these.
I am unable to skew shapes for some reason in Photoshop CC. I don't know if there is a setting I'm overlooking or if this is a bug, but I have never had this problem before. I create a shape, go to Edit>Transform>Skew, and when I grab the top edge and move it side to side it makes a rectangle base on what the skew should look like. I've posted a video to illustrate the problem:
I would like to be able to show an animation of a flat plate of material converging into a half hollow sphere (like a bowl). Its easy to model the beginning and end stae, but I do not know how to show it transitioning from one to the other.
How to do this? I need it for a presentation to convey a design concept.
What I have is a Rig that has two Handles that control a joint chain each and I was wondering if there was any way to Converge both changes into the Joint in the center, because what i am trying to create is a dynamic bead loop. With it as it is the bones facing down are fine, but the ones facing upward falls to the "Floor".
Is there anyway that I can accomplish this or an easier to do this?
I have supposedly disabled all the "snap" features in Photoshop, however, whenever I try to make minute transforms with the skew tool it always "snaps" (often closing a huge gap) to either it's previous vector, or one of the other points.
How do I stop this before I hit my head on the desk repeatedly in frustration?
Ctrl, etc., like with the move tool, does nothing differently.
The image i took was one of my desktop accessories from about one ft. away and at 24mm wide angle. in the image"s four corners is the black edges of the lens.(raw one) Also the front edge of the desk is curved inwards and i have some bowing of the desktop accessories. how can this be corrected? I am sending two images one jpeg and the other the raw image. The second one is the RAW one. What else can be corrected in the raw image.
1) does AE have or can be made to perform Photoshop or Flash distort, skew, warp etc. transformations?, (these save incomparable time in path editing rather than AE's limited transforms and manual point and tangent realignments)
2) when shape(mask) tweening in AE is it capable of what Flash calls ease-in/out, or what Illustrator and CorelDRAW calls "speed"or "acceleration" respectivly?
I take a number of cemetery headstone photos and in trying to keep my shadow off the headstone, I stand to the side and the image usually gets distorted. I have Photoshop Elements 11. I'm sure there is a good way to do it. I tried Filter, Correct Camera Distortion but end up with a worse distortion than when I started.
how do I improve my photo image and make it more square?
Can you correct a very grainy picture in photoshop elements 12? Picture was taken with a Sony A500 in low light at 6400 ISO (used to stop action) and Raw Format/JPEG. Tryed to correct in raw with no luck.
I was trying to create a simple slideshow with sound when first my computer warned of low memory (something that doesn't seem plausible), and then Photoshop Elements 9 and the associated organizer crashed. When I brought it back, several photos were "grayed out" and my organizer is completely frozen. The error suggests that there are corrupt files. I tried to follow the instructions on the website, but cannot find any sort of Catalog menu or means of changing anything in the catalog or organizer as indicated in the troubleshooting and restoration instructions.
I have Photoshop Elements 10, and am trying to print a black and white drawing that was scanned, then sent to me via email. When I print out this image, it has an overall green hue and I cant figure out why. I have the black/grayscale box checked in the advanced print settings, but that has still not fixed my problem.
I have loaded pictures from PSE 11 to my face book page but it only gives me 1 of 3 options. I load one pic it goes onto my timeline as normal or it will let me select on of 2 albums or create a new album. I have like 8 albums on my facebook how do I find or choose my designated folder with it only giving me the option for 2 the 2 I don't wish to load any more pictures to. I see it if there is not an option I'd need to save it to my windows view/folder and upload them that way.
How can i apply a skew modifier to rotating wheel and preserve skew gizmo from rotation? I am trying to achieve a cartoon like fast moving car. Seems to be simple thing to do but I can`t get it.
Is there a way to Skew/Shear a Solid3d object using .NET? I've created a Frustum using Solid3d, but I'm unable to skew it. The easiest way would to just create a skew matrix, but it seems that non-uniform scaling is not allowed by the API.
In gimp, some things are confusing. like the shear/skew tool, isometrics/pixel grids, and selecting objects.
Is there a way to skew a circle for isometric pixel art (30 degrees)? Does gimp have a isometric/pixel grid? (there's a regular grid, but its not isometric)
when selecting an object, is there a way to select it without using float every time? Lastly, is there a way to constrain a line to the 3 most used isometric lines used in isometric pixel art? (shift works, but its hit or miss)
I am trying to "skew" an object. I use the Free Transform tool, then click and hold on a handle, then hold down Control, and drag the handle where I want it. This works fine. BUT the second I let go of either the mouse or the Control button, it pops back to its original location/shape. How do I make the transformation "stick"? I'm sure I'm being really dense and missing something very simple.
I'm trying to add audio to a slide show. I've done it before on this computer with no problem, but now it's telling me I don't have the correct compression files installed on my computer.
