Photoshop Elements :: Correct Camera Photo Distortion
Aug 14, 2013
I take a number of cemetery headstone photos and in trying to keep my shadow off the headstone, I stand to the side and the image usually gets distorted. I have Photoshop Elements 11. I'm sure there is a good way to do it. I tried Filter, Correct Camera Distortion but end up with a worse distortion than when I started.
how do I improve my photo image and make it more square?

I was hoping to attach an example photo but can't figure out how to. I just get a black screen when I click on "insert image" icon. how do I attach a photo to a discussion question and second how do I improve my photo image?
I'm in need of a photoshop plugin that corrects barrel distortion caused from a wide angle lense. The photographic subject is achitecture. I've been told that a plugin exists however I have not found it.
I'm new to Photoshop. Currently, Im learning Photoshop through Adobe Photoshop CS6 Classroom in a Book. I found out that the camera raw plug-in seems weird.
This is the original photo.
When I opened it in Camera Raw, the color of the photo distorted. ( I didn't do anything on it yet. )
Is it caused by software problems? Or did I accidentally tick something in the Setting/Preferences?
I have a building file with a site linked in. The site file has the retaining wall etc.
In the building file I have created some camera views and when you adjust the eye height the linked wall is distorted. note the correct alignment in perspective-01 and the distortions in *-02 & *-03.
Trying to get an 8x10 print from a digital camera photo on a letter size paper. Reguardless of what we do, the print job only comes up to 8x6.5. How do we get an 8x10???
I recently formatted my mac and now i cant find where to download the correct lens profiles to camera raw. Im a photographer and its crucial i have the right ones!!
When moving images into PE 10 for editing, patterns on clothing get distorted (stripes, checks). These are fine in other programs after downloading from the camera. They are also fine in the PE 10 RAW editor, but distort when moved into the editor. It does not seem to be just a display issue as they also print with the distorted patterns. how to correct or avoid this from happening?
I have run into this problem several times. CorelDRAW has "envelope" which works for vector illustrations. (how I made the sample) Photo Paint does not have a similar tool. How can I pinch the middle in PP. How to make the image on the left into the image on the right.
I am trying to open a photo in camera raw and the image always has a lot of red and blue in the picture? What can I do to avoid this. When I first started learning photoshop this did not happen?
I am new to Photoshop. I have version cs5. I have several photos that were taken through a Blue tinted plexiglass window. Some or all of the photo has acquired the tint. Also parts may have a reflection minor of people standing around. How do I remove the tint?
I'm trying to scan a photo out of an old book to use in my own book. The photo looks lovely in the book, BUT when I scan it, it comes out all blotchy and no matter what effect I apply I cannot find a way to improve it.
I'm scanning using the "import" option and thence using a Canon scanner at 600dpi.I have tried it with the "unsharp mask" and "descreen" on or off, and all combinations, but the pic still looks rotten.
I am using Photoshop Elements 11, using WIndows 7 Operating System. I have a new camera Canon Rebel T5i, and having problem viewing images in raw format (cr2).Message in PE11, states, "Camera model not supported by installed version of Camera raw."
Canon software views images. Suspect my minimum camera raw plug in version does not support this new camera..I am unable to locate in the software any menu item that allows me to view the camera raw plug in version.
my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message
"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information."
so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).
After an, automatic, update to camera raw 7.3 in Photoshop Elements 11 all Camera Profiles are gone. All that is left is "Matrix". I use Elements 11, windows Vista on a 64-bit machine, my camera is a Nikon D7000.
I made a free selection in a photo with a great detail of zoon which took me a lot of time. When I pasted it I noticed that there is a small incorrection that I wanted to retouch.
However the original cut picture has the borders of the selected area brightening but doesn't show any longer the points that I could correct.
Any way of forcing it to edit, allowing me to change slightly the borders?
I've been using Paint.net for a few years, but only with .jpg photos. I recently scanned some text as a .jpg and cannot figure out how to correct some spelling errors.
Also, the paper I scanned was far removed from the original, so the white blank areas are full of black artifacts. Is there some way to have Paint.net recognize the actual test so I can have a clean text copy?
The image i took was one of my desktop accessories from about one ft. away and at 24mm wide angle. in the image"s four corners is the black edges of the lens.(raw one) Also the front edge of the desk is curved inwards and i have some bowing of the desktop accessories. how can this be corrected? I am sending two images one jpeg and the other the raw image. The second one is the RAW one. What else can be corrected in the raw image.
I'm working on a job that requires recreating vintage box artwork. This involves recomposing scanned images into a new layout, recreating text from matched fonts - that sort of thing. Unfortunately, some of the scanned images (originally printed offset press in cmyk) were printed with one or more of the plates out of register, creating a halo effect on one side. Can this be corrected in PhotoPaint? Is there a way to create each channel as an object which could be moved to realign the colors and then flattened again?
