Photoshop Elements :: Clothing Pattern Distortion In Elements 10
Jul 1, 2013
When moving images into PE 10 for editing, patterns on clothing get distorted (stripes, checks). These are fine in other programs after downloading from the camera. They are also fine in the PE 10 RAW editor, but distort when moved into the editor. It does not seem to be just a display issue as they also print with the distorted patterns. how to correct or avoid this from happening?
Alright, so I'm trying to import a checker pattern onto my drawing for clothing decoration. The first time I did it, no problem, but now when I try to import a layer it doesn't work the way I want it to. When I try to erase parts of it, instead of being transparent, it erases away white. (See attachment) How can I fix this?
I take a number of cemetery headstone photos and in trying to keep my shadow off the headstone, I stand to the side and the image usually gets distorted. I have Photoshop Elements 11. I'm sure there is a good way to do it. I tried Filter, Correct Camera Distortion but end up with a worse distortion than when I started.  how do I improve my photo image and make it more square?
I am trying to change the color on my chevron pattern (a downloaded PS template I purchased off the internet.) I select my paint bucket (and choose the color to change it to) but every time I click on the pattern, it changes the color to a lighter shade of pink vs the green that I am trying to apply. It's almost like it is mixing the color VS changing it.  How would I go about changing the color completely? It is currently light pink and I want to change it to a green that I grabbed off of a diff picture (with the color picker.)
I am new to Photoshop Elements (Ver. 12 Mac) and I am still learning how to use it. I would like to select an area within a pic, let's say for argument sake the spots of a leopard, capture the selection as a pattern (not just a straight single colour) and use it to paint that pattern with the paintbrush. Or, in the alternate, is there another way to copy an irregular pattern into another defined area of a pic?
On one image I used ripple texture to simulate shine on glass and it worked great. On another image, I tried to do the same thing but the texture is a small repeat pattern and doesn't look like glass at all. I tried to get the effect by changing size and hardness and pattern size of the brush but no luck. What should I do?
How can one remove a raised texture pattern from a scan of the original photo? Â Have several wedding photos scanned into PS Elements that were printed by the pro, photography studio on a raised pattern paper. How to remove the honey comb type pattern so that the picture canbe printed flat on glossy color photo paper?
Is there anyway to break a sketched pattern without deleting all the elements? CATIA has this feature where you can pattern something, then break the relationship of this pattern so you can edit the components as individuals. It seems the only option in Inventor is to delete the pattern or suppress individual components.  I just want to pattern a line equally spaced 20 times then trim those lines to a bisecting one. Its annoying to have to draw and constrain all the lines to create a patternÂ
Since I used Autodesk Inventor 2013 last year, I had an question about numbering en renumbering the count of elements in patterns.
I had an assembly with iLogic for placing and replacing elements, suppressing parts and edit dimensions of parts in 1 assembly. Sometimes, 1 suppressed pattern must be un-suppressed. Before doing this, I would like to set the pattern count and distances between pattern elements in the pattern. How can I do it by using iLogic?
is it possible to change the colour of all elements in a pattern without changing the ipt file?
I have an assembly that has 4 rectangular patterns that can have any number of elements, sometimes the customer will ask for coating to be applied, in this case i only want to change the colour at the assembly level only.
I am looking for a couple of plugins that can help me add texture and draping effects to my clothing designs, which at the moment don't even look 2D. Am looking also for something that will help me design and implement patterns, such as checks with out having to copy and paste. The easier to use the better as I do not know Photoshop CS that well.
I m using Photoshop to work on clothing textures and later import them into Second Life. Most of the time I use Dodge and Burn tool to create the effects on clothing. I believe there are other methods to create verry good looking clothing such as this picture shows (please take a look only at the pants and the effects) What else (or methods) can you use to create such great (wet)look? I've done many many searches for this type of effect, but I haven't had much luck. I'm trying to create a sequence of images of ripped clothing. As in the Incredible Hulk, busting out of the clothes.
In the past I've used the smear tool with different shaped brushes, but that doesn't really do it too well.
it is possible to custom clothing for 3D Daz models using Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended? I can find tutors on painting models but nothing on making the custom clothing itself, not a texture for other clothing but making my own clothing for DAZ Kids4. I have been using Hexagon to work with clothing but was looking for a photoshop alternative method.
I am trying to change the color of some clothing from black to a tan or gray.  I have seen tutuorials that use a hue/saturation layer mask to accomplish this task. But I find that with black clothes nothing happens when I change the hue. I assume this is because of the black? At any rate, what is the best way to turn something from black to another color?
I need to batch texturize a ton of image with a clothing fabric I have loaded to get the look I need. I now how to batch image but can't find a way to use the batch image with texturizer and a texture I have loaded. Can this be done? If so, how?
I have been using Photoshop for a while now but have recently been invited to design some sportswear. I want to initially take existing clothing and change the colours and add designs. As an example, how would I get this soccer kit to be either all white or white on everything apart from the shorts?
I have managed to get yellow to go white using the hue/saturation tool but dark colours seem like its impossible. I do also want to know how to go from white to a darker colour but maybe I should save that for my next thread.
I have not renamed or moved original elements, yet when I recently opened an on-going project in Photoshop Elements 4.0, about 1/4 of the media elements were gone. Why? Is there a way to troubleshoot this? Anyway to recover these slides? Can't see that any photos, etc in the Organizer have broken links.
