Photoshop Elements :: Changing Color On Chevron Pattern
Dec 18, 2013
I am trying to change the color on my chevron pattern (a downloaded PS template I purchased off the internet.) I select my paint bucket (and choose the color to change it to) but every time I click on the pattern, it changes the color to a lighter shade of pink vs the green that I am trying to apply. It's almost like it is mixing the color VS changing it.
How would I go about changing the color completely? It is currently light pink and I want to change it to a green that I grabbed off of a diff picture (with the color picker.)

How do you make a Chevron or ZigZag pattern in Paint.net? I was able to make one, but it was pretty difficult.
I used the Diagonal Lines plugin to draw the lines and then used the Mirror plugin to make the actual chevron.
I then just copied and carefully pasted to make the pattern. Is there an easier way to do this that would be more

On one image I used ripple texture to simulate shine on glass and it worked great. On another image, I tried to do the same thing but the texture is a small repeat pattern and doesn't look like glass at all. I tried to get the effect by changing size and hardness and pattern size of the brush but no luck. What should I do?

is it possible to change the colour of all elements in a pattern without changing the ipt file?
I have an assembly that has 4 rectangular patterns that can have any number of elements, sometimes the customer will ask for coating to be applied, in this case i only want to change the colour at the assembly level only.

I am having trouble in changing the color of the bullets without changing the text color. Problem is I cannot select/highlight just the bullet so any new color selected applies to the whole line including bullet and text. I am using DP v 7.

This question revolves around the pattern stamp tool and masking out trees/shrubs. I use the patterns often because I am making 3d models of buildings from photographs. Often times there are many obstructions in the images that need to be edited out. So I usually create a texture pattern and then fill it where it needs to cover up these obstructions.
The problem I see is that there is no scaling on the pattern stamp tool. Each photo that I am editing will have a different resolution and so the original pattern stamp I created will only work on the original sampled image. There are several tricks I've come up with, such as creating a vector mask out of the selection and paint bucket filling the space with the pattern, then reducing the scale of the fill, but this method doesn't work all that well..
if there is a hidden trick to scaling the pattern stamp tool to work with?

I am creating wall sections and I want to change the fill pattern from drafting to model so I can minipulate the pattern. I selected a multitude of elements to change from rigid insulation to CMU and all were the same in the fact none could be changed into model pattern. Heres what I did; I slected an element, then went to the Paint Tool selected Surface Patterns, then Pattern, then Fill Patterns but it wont let me choose model.

I made a pattern in illustrator c6 (lets say simple dots in rows) and I want to color this dots with a swatch (which means a specific color that changes automatically when I change this particular swatch). It does change the color but it also causes a lot of troubles, it makes weird compound paths and illustrator gets very slow...

When moving images into PE 10 for editing, patterns on clothing get distorted (stripes, checks). These are fine in other programs after downloading from the camera. They are also fine in the PE 10 RAW editor, but distort when moved into the editor. It does not seem to be just a display issue as they also print with the distorted patterns. how to correct or avoid this from happening?

I'd like to apply a pattern above a color fill, at the moment I apply the color fill, then I convert it to a smart object and apply the pattern, this because if I apply pattern and color fill, the color fill goes above the pattern covering it.
There is a way for skip this procedure and apply the pattern above without smart objects?

I've used the Fill>Pattern to tile my seamless patterns tons of times and never had this issue. Suddenly , it started making each tile on the large canvas a different color when I apply Fill>Pattern. At first I thought it was a tip or guide to see the repeat edges , but it shows up in print preview too. What did I do and how do I correct it?

I am using the Color Exchange feature in Gimp 2. I am trying to change a red background to black. The Color Exchange feature allows me to do that, however, it comes out with only part of the color changed and it all very blotchy.
Here is a screenshot of what happens after I select the red square and do a Color Exchange from red to black.

I'm coming from Fireworks.A technique I use often in my ui work is to combine a texture with a gradient that fades the gradients color and the pattern to transparent.
In Fireworks, this can be done on a single layer with no mask. The transparency of the gradient affects the pattern. This is not the case in Photoshop. I am wondering how I can accomplish the same thing in Photoshop, while keeping everything vector.

I take pictures of my fountain pens and mechanical pencils using a light box and a digital camera. Naturally, the backround is white. I would like to be able to change this white color to something else on occasion but don't know how to go about it in Photoshop. I am NOT a power user. I use Photoshop CS5 64 bit.
Keep in mind that sometimes there is also white in the pen in places and I do not want to change anything at all on the color of the pen.

way to take a color in a picture, and automatically make it another.
Let me explain,
If I were to have 50 different BMPs of the American flag, and what I needed to do, was to open them up and change all the "red" stripes to "green," It would be terribly time consuming to open up every single bmp, and use the paint bucket to click on each "red" area individually, making it green.
It would be nice, if, say, I could open up one of the bmps, and perform some type of function that basically says "Take all of the "red" in this picture and make it "green" immedietly" or something of that nature.
And it would be even nicer, to open up all 50 bmps simutaneously and perform a function that says "See all of these bmps? I want to turn any red, in ALL of them, to green, now"

I searched under keyword "eye" and shifted through 12 pages of posts and found nothing.I also used numerous tutorials on eye color,But all of these were used on a blue eye to begin with, and it already had the color shifts and speckles of different colors.
I want to change brown to blue and I want it to look realistic.
So I was wondering if there are any good techniques OR photoshop plugins designed specificaly for this.
Whenever I try to change eye color(following the directions of numerious tutorials.)It always ends up looking fake and unrealistic.
One reason is because the majority of blue eye's have numerous other colors in them like white and other shades of blue, while brown eyes are completly solid brown.
I have an example here of what I did,I took a photo of a brown eye It's the top left, and tried using all of what I know to make it blue. The result is the top right,It does not look realistic as I want it to look.I spent about 10 minutes on it and it's the best I can do.I even went and speckled it with numerous other colors to give it the "blue eye effect".But it still looks photoshoped.
The ones labled no.1,no.2 and no.3 are all examples of what real blue eye's should look like.1 being solid blue,2 being solid blue with a glaze on it and 3 being blue speckled with white and other shades of blue.
I want to be able to convert solid brown eyes to a realistic blue.
