How do you make a Chevron or ZigZag pattern in Paint.net? I was able to make one, but it was pretty difficult.
I used the Diagonal Lines plugin to draw the lines and then used the Mirror plugin to make the actual chevron.
I then just copied and carefully pasted to make the pattern. Is there an easier way to do this that would be more

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to change the color on my chevron pattern (a downloaded PS template I purchased off the internet.) I select my paint bucket (and choose the color to change it to) but every time I click on the pattern, it changes the color to a lighter shade of pink vs the green that I am trying to apply. It's almost like it is mixing the color VS changing it.
How would I go about changing the color completely? It is currently light pink and I want to change it to a green that I grabbed off of a diff picture (with the color picker.)

Is there a way that I can "unwrap" the image from the vase and to have the picture appear flat? I tried manually doing it with warp grid but it was a lot of work and did not look very smooth.

Is there an easy way to convert a path to even zig zag segments... the purpose is to create an swen or stitched effect in screen printed designs. I see this all this time in retail stores and can do it in a very time consuming manor I'd like to start advoiding. I'm tired of the dashed line effect and want the stiched VVVVVV look around corners and such. The problem is the uniform effect you get because the segments are not equal.

Here's what I want: a filled rectangle in which the top and bottom line segments are straight, and the two side line segments are zigzag. I can't seem to find a good way to do that.
First thing I tried: Make a rectangle, then Effect > Distort & Transform > Zig Zag. That turns all segments of the rectangle zig zag, and I want the top and bottom to be straight.
Next: Draw four separate lines and join them to make a shape that I can fill. I can do that, right? Anyway, the problem: I draw a zigzag line, and a straight line and right angles. I select the endpoints with the pen tool (right?) to join them. When they join, either they both become straight or they both become zigzag. Which is not what I want either. Here's a picture of what I'm trying to do.
The other thing I noticed is that the Zig Zag effect doesn't give me additional anchor points (at least from what I can see), and doesn't give me anchor points where I want them. See in the above picture, where I have the left-hand line segment selected, the path is still straight so the anchor points don't line up with the zigzag line that is visible to me. Which means when I try to join the segments, they make funny shapes at the corner. Which is also annoying. This thread seemed to indicate that Zig Zag should give me additional anchor points at each corner: [URL]. Why don't I get that? Is it a CS4/CS5 issue?
I'm doing a project where i am trying to make a house (like a simple one you would see in a real estate ad), but with the lines being squiggly. I applied the zigzag filter to the entire thing, and it looks alright, but the whole house is distorted, not the individual lines. I want to know if I can just make the individual lines have that zigzag look, like some one scribbled it lightly. Is there a way to do that, and if so, how?

I'm trying to make a curve that follows a path that changes direction. I've tried to carry the zigzag effect accross line using the compound path option, but the curve double in on themselves and don't make a continuous line.

I have patterned a part in an assembly and now wish to modify one of the patterned components without it changing the others. When I edit one of the patterns it changes the others similarly. Is there a way to make changes to just one pattern without affecting the others? The modifications are to a frame generated design.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI followed this tutorial to create 3D Christmas lights, and all was going well until I reached one of the final steps- release clipping mask in order to proceed with making a pattern brush. The "Release" option is simply not available, I'm only allowed to "Make."
My questions:
- What might have I missed/what should I look for to enable making a pattern brush with 3d objects?
I have just been having a blast making photoshop patterns, I could do this forever it feels like . I have only made a few as a test, I want to know how to share them.
1- How do I best make a preview of them?
2-How do I post them so that others can download them if they want them?
I am using Coreldraw X5 for printing and sublimation. If I use Pattern or Texture fills for a background, is there any way to make them less intense so the text can more easily be read? I am not sure of the correct terminology, whether it is "fade", "intensity" "transparency" etc. I would just like the fill to be fainter.

I really want to make a small honeycomb swatch pattern (the polygons should be small - 2 px x 2px) , but I just cannot get it to work. What I did is make one small polygon, and went to: Object>pattern>make and applied the following settings:
You will see that on the shoulder of the t-shirt, the pattern is kinda trasparent - the bottom layer is visible-I don't want it to be.The bottom pattern(on the side of the t-shirt) you will see came out fine, except that the polygons are too big and I cannot get it any smaller.
I am trying to make a hatch pattern in Illustrator CS6 with the pattern tool so I can apply a clean, single lined hatch to various shapes (some small some big - but the hatch needs to remain at the same seamless scale). I understand that there is a Basic Graphics_Lines Pattern under the Swatches Palette, but I don't understand how to edit it with the Pattern Options dialogue box.

Basically I don't know how to make a pattern's lines match up when I do the 5x5 or 3x3. I tried doing 1x1 and the result is that of the image with the red stroke...still not aligning.
