how do I improve my photo image and make it more square?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got an urgent fix to do for some CD artwork, sadly I am far from being a photoshop guru and I don't have time to send it back and get it redone.
Basically, I have a load of text spiraling inwards towards the center of the disk but it ends up a bit too close to the center. I need to enlarge the hole in the middle without distorting the text too much.
My first thought was to try the Filter/Distort/Spherize effect and indeed this does make the hole proportionally bigger but it also makes the text near the edge much smaller than the text near the center.
I need some kind of radial or spiral transform/distortion that will maintain the proportion of the lettering, although roughly would be fine, it doesn't need enlarging very much.
I am using photoshop 7,
I have been given a circa 2006 Photo frame that works very well except the system on it is set for DOS 16 bit and my more modern photos refuse to work.
I can save the photos but is errors on them. How do I save the photos in a form that this device can use?
I'm in need of a photoshop plugin that corrects barrel distortion caused from a wide angle lense. The photographic subject is achitecture. I've been told that a plugin exists however I have not found it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to change a 1920-1080 p background, into a 1920 - 1200 background.
I don't want to re-size it or lose image quality, the background for this can be easily replicated through some simple editing (drawing strait lines with the paint brush tool, and basically filling in to expand the background) Is there a way to do this? Here is the picture I want to change:

I just want it so that the pin-wheel design extends outward as to make the entire image 1920-1200, rather then the 1920-1080 it is now. (without losing image quality of the center wheel.)
I have started a new video project with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 in Photoshop CS6with a pixel aspect ratio set to square.. In the project I add a video to the timeline. The source video was created in QuickTime and exported at a 1920 x 1080 resolution MOV file. I have check both the source clip at the canvas siye and have confirmed that both are 1920 x 1080. However, when I import the video it takes up less than the entire frame. It appears that the video is being scaled down so that there is some white space to the right and below the video clip. See the image below.
In the past I have been able to import 1920x1080 video to a 1920x1080 project without a problem. I have 4 or 5 examples that have worked well.
I have tried font 72 and still the font is tiny.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an image that is (1920 x 1273)px at 300dpi. The final image will need to be cropped down to (175 x 190)px at 72dpi.
When I crop it and lower the dpi it gets very small. Too small for how I would like to use it. I would like for the individual to be the focal point of the image and be large enough for easy viewing int the (175 x 190)px image size. So I was thinking I could enlarge the image starting at its original quality, especially since it is at 300dpi and then crop it and lower the dpi. But that does not seem to deliver a larger size image either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am sizing illustrator artwork to be specific pixel dimensions (ex: 294 x 76 px). I slice by "making" slice (object/slice/make). I then export by saving for web & devices. When I then preview the artwork I see the file size is 295 x 77px the wrong size by one pixel. all artwork is expanded prior to being sliced so there are no drop-shadows or effects messing with the slices sizing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen moving images into PE 10 for editing, patterns on clothing get distorted (stripes, checks). These are fine in other programs after downloading from the camera. They are also fine in the PE 10 RAW editor, but distort when moved into the editor. It does not seem to be just a display issue as they also print with the distorted patterns. how to correct or avoid this from happening?

I have some fotos that are apparently too small for the 1920 x 1080 format of my film.
What do I need to master about the relationship between three items (canvas size, image size, and document size) so that I can smoothly resize a bunch of images in Photoshop for export into Premiere Pro in that 1920 x 1080 format?

I made a free selection in a photo with a great detail of zoon which took me a lot of time. When I pasted it I noticed that there is a small incorrection that I wanted to retouch.
However the original cut picture has the borders of the selected area brightening but doesn't show any longer the points that I could correct.
Any way of forcing it to edit, allowing me to change slightly the borders?
(what i've been using is photoshop) and my problem is that I want to save a jpg file, so I create a document at 1920x1080 pixels at 300 dpi and once finished I go to the option of export and set it to 300 dpi and it saves it at 8000x4500? when I set it to 72 dpi there is no problem and saves at 1920x1080, but I want it at 300 dpi and not such a big file that sometimes it doesn't even have enough memory to save.
