Xara :: Combine Left And Right Skew?
Dec 5, 2012The skew tool only seems to allow a left or right skew, i.e. you can turn a square into a parallelogram.
Is there a way to combine left and right skew, i.e. to turn a square into a trapezium?

I need to mix left to right and right to left (hebrew) text in a textbox. How can I do that? If I copy/paste hebrew text the text is inserted as if it was left to right, that is: reversed. Can I somehow work around that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've not used Xara in ages and can't remember how (or even if it's possible) to join two lines together. I was using the freehand tool with trace mode enabled to roughlty trace around an object in a jpeg image so I zoomed in on the object in the image I wanted to trace to get better precision. This meant the image was larger than my monitor and I had to trace a bit, press space bar, pan a bit, press space bar to get back to freehand tool, move over end of line to get little '+' sign to continue drawing existing line etc. But on one of the times I must have not got the '+' so was actually drawing a new line and not a continuation of the existing - hence need to get these 2 to join together.

1. Drag the adjoining X & Y at the top left corner of the ruler.... dragged down. Nothing.
2. Page properties - Grid and ruler tab... changed the Y Coordinate. Nothing again.
Made sure 'page' is not 'locked'. All pages same size. Been at it for over an hour and have decided I'm either missing something or maybe I found a bit of a bug?

why I get a hefty blank section on the left side of an Image exported from Xara as a Photoshop file?I have 4 images inside Xara in a balanced arrangement on an 820x586 pg? (artboard?)They are balanced as can be seen in the provided screen grab:
I exported that composition as a Photoshop file and checked the `export only visible objects' box.The exported files have a fairly heft blank section on the left side, as can be seen in the second screen grab:
how I would combine the curved line with the base line of the green rectangle so that it actually replaces the bottom line?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am unable to skew shapes for some reason in Photoshop CC. I don't know if there is a setting I'm overlooking or if this is a bug, but I have never had this problem before. I create a shape, go to Edit>Transform>Skew, and when I grab the top edge and move it side to side it makes a rectangle base on what the skew should look like. I've posted a video to illustrate the problem:

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to Skew/Shear a Solid3d object using .NET? I've created a Frustum using Solid3d, but I'm unable to skew it. The easiest way would to just create a skew matrix, but it seems that non-uniform scaling is not allowed by the API.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn gimp, some things are confusing. like the shear/skew tool, isometrics/pixel grids, and selecting objects.
Is there a way to skew a circle for isometric pixel art (30 degrees)? Does gimp have a isometric/pixel grid? (there's a regular grid, but its not isometric)
when selecting an object, is there a way to select it without using float every time? Lastly, is there a way to constrain a line to the 3 most used isometric lines used in isometric pixel art? (shift works, but its hit or miss)
I am trying to "skew" an object. I use the Free Transform tool, then click and hold on a handle, then hold down Control, and drag the handle where I want it. This works fine. BUT the second I let go of either the mouse or the Control button, it pops back to its original location/shape. How do I make the transformation "stick"? I'm sure I'm being really dense and missing something very simple.

How do I stop this before I hit my head on the desk repeatedly in frustration?
Ctrl, etc., like with the move tool, does nothing differently.
When you want to use skew on grayscale element you should be prepared for blue edges.
How blue can be similar to gray?

1) does AE have or can be made to perform Photoshop or Flash distort, skew, warp etc. transformations?, (these save incomparable time in path editing rather than AE's limited transforms and manual point and tangent realignments)
2) when shape(mask) tweening in AE is it capable of what Flash calls ease-in/out, or what Illustrator and CorelDRAW calls "speed"or "acceleration" respectivly?
I have created an architectual animation and I would like to have some pepole walking through the scene.
I have got bipeds to walk I just can't workout how to combine the two elements.
I'm working with cloth FX and my clothes keep falling apart because they're not all part of one element. My first question deals in combining them all into one element and for my second question I need to know if there is a better alternative to attaching these seperate elements using the cloth modifier. I'm aware of the weld function but I don't know if that would include me manually selecting every vert.

I started by making an image with no one in the scene using the Median blend mode with a layer stack to remove all the people. Worked fine. Now, I am hoping there is some way to create masks or knockouts of the people in each of the individual images by somehow comparing them to the scene with no people. Some way to mask out or knock out those areas which are different, i.e. the people. I will then stack all the images of the people on top of one another to create a very complicated image showing the volume of traffic.
Using CS3.
