View 4 RepliesThe attached DynBlk needs to be Constrined. As an LT user I am unable to do so.If you rotate the block thru the range you will notice that the green line changes its relationship to the dark line.I would like for it to remain 5-1/2" from the dark line. (Truth be told I would like for it to stretch to 7-1/4 and 9-1/4 as well but that's another day.)

However everytime after saving, and opening the file again, the curve breaks into many line segments, which is not what I want! I want the curved line that I draw to remain as a curved line even after saving and opening. How do I do that? I am using autocad2010.
I use the ARC command to draw a couple of lines, they look okay here. But after I saved it, and re-open it again, what previously appeared as curved lines changed in their appearance to polyline segments.
There are many ways to skin this particular cat. This is the way that I do it.

I've a vague notion that this could be done with a dynamic block and a few fancy expressions. I'm comfortable with expressions, but I've never used dynamic blocks at all, so I wouldn't know where to start.
To be clear, I know curved text is possible, but I'm looking for a curved line (ie an arc) that would look 'parallel' to the arc of the feature line (ie have the same centre point). This would have to be dynamic to allow for different radii and for flipping to the left and right side of the feature line.
Having a time getting ribs to align 2m below top of ridge beam, and connect to curved wall below. I created one, then arrayed, but the radius changes at each 2.5 degree interval. I don't think I should have to calculate the % radius change to get the beams to do this. Some constraint button maybe?
Not sure if editing a wall profile is the best way to model this, but it's working.
What is the default setting for base line shift in the Character pallet?
Mine is always default to 51.66pt but I believe this is incorrect. I have looked on other photoshop users computers and they seem to have 0.8pt. How can I reset the default if this is incorrect??.
In my drawing I have 6 rectangular object and of different sizes. I want to align them to one base line or align bottom as in visio. How can I do that?
View 9 Replies View RelatedStarting this week, when I print my note cards from LR, the greenish line (aproximately 1/8") is added to the top of every photo. It's not noticable if I do draft mode printing. Also, if I print to jpeg file, then print this file outside LR, it's not there. I blamed it on 3.6 upgrade first, rolled back to 3.5, but it haven't solved the problem. I'm on Windows 7 and HP Photosmart Premium C309a printer. I really need to print lots of cards and I cannot!
Addition on 12/17/11 - the line is not noticable on black or any darker color.
Is it possible to draw a curved line, preferably with arrows at one or both ends? Lines drawn with the freeform brush are too jaggedy; I'm looking for something with intermediate handles that will make smooth curved leaders for text annotation of features in photos.
I've figured out how to make paths...what I'm trying to do is make a line that follows a path - without having the program "fill in" the path-defined region.
I normally use AutoCAD Electrical 2012 but my problem is AutoCAD so I thought I would log it here.In ACE there are default profiles for ACE and Vanilla AC. I use the Vanilla AC for basic CAD drawings.
I like the feature "Base Line Spacing" for dimensions, to state the obvious,BUT it I do some vertical dims then try to do some horizontal dims (both in base line spacing) the software wants to stay in vertical BSL.
I can find is to create a standard DIM, delete it, then i can do a selection of horizontal BSL.Is this how it works in AC2012? Or is it a function of ACE? There are some other functions in ACE that do not work in standard CAD under the CAD profile.
We have a new PC set up, and the user is trying to draw a line, starting from point 0,0,0. AutoCAD won't let him draw a line from that coordinate.
How do we get AutoCAD to draw from the BASE coordinate? Is there a new switch that's messing this up?
I meet a problem in autocad2010. the normal situation is : the base point is in the line of extended line for dimension. see the picture.
but in my condition, the base point is offset from the extended line .see the picture. how can I solve this?
I am getting photos ready to be used in a Premeire Pro video. I was given these photo by someone who scanned them. There is a fine green line running through some of them. I have tried removing it with the clone and the healing tools but they don't work on it (they DO work on the rest of the photo). I cannot figure out how to get rid of this line. There are no layers to flatten. Any help would be appreciated. I have never seen this before.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden when i create a circle on the origin it is not turning green and constraining the circle to it. Also when i am creating a line from the midpoint of another line the midpoint is not turning green and the line is not constrained to that point. I have checked the autoproject origin box in the appl settings and it is active.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am new to Photoshop (Elements Vers 10).
Today I have been working on a photo (cloning out the background) and after about 4hrs work a thin green line about 1-2 pixel thick, has appeared across the center of the page. How it got there but I can not remove it.
I have tried saving the project (as a photoshop file) and then opening it as a new project in an old version of Photoshop (Vers 3 ?) to see if I could clone out the line, but it will not permit me to clone it.
What the line is, what I did to cause it to appear and how do I get rid of it. I possibly could export the project as a JPG and start as a new project.
I am having a heck of a time trying to make a curved line. I have Photoshop version 8.0
Can this only be done using the Pen?
Can I use the 'line' tool and curve that line somehow?
The graphic I am trying to make is the bottom of a boat anchor.
Ho can I make a curved line like on the image but in a shape of an egg? What I mean is, line going from thick to thin.

Left: 'vertical align bottomed text with the box of black stroke
Right: manually moved text with smart guide to align with its base line.(what I want to achieve)
As you can see in the left one, text has its base line under itself, and its bounding box doesn't match its base line. when I use align, it doesn't align using its base line but its bounding box.How can I make text align using their base line easily?
