Jun 29, 2013Using Photoshop Elements 10, my photo reduces in size about 1/2 inch when moved onto a piece of paper. What am I doing wrong?

Photoshop :: Cropping CS4 - Photo Disappears And Image Box Reduces In Size To About 1 Inch Square?
Jul 21, 2012After cropping a photo in cs4 i have tried hitting the return key as well as edit/crop and then my photo disappears and the image box reduces in size to about 1 inch square with no image. I have expanded the image box but nil photo. This has never happened before.
I reloaded cs4 onto my computer but the problem still exists. I have also tried out opening the file from Bridge as well as Photoshop with the same result.

Nov 25, 2013I'm new to this, but have noticed that whenever I choose the "save as" command for an open photo file, the saved file is much smaller. Even when, for example, I name a picture and make no other changes, the file size goes from say 2.4MB to 640 or so. And these are jpeg to jpeg saves. I have to think this diminishes resolution and options for future edits. Is there a way change some save settings or something?

Nov 20, 2013When trying to place an image into a new document in photoshop elements 12, I select all-copy-paste the image (or even drag it) over to the new doc created. However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size. Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. Basically, how can I drag a photo that is 4x6 over to a new doc while keeping the size at 4x6.

Feb 7, 2005I had an 11x14 document set at 175 pix/in. When printed the document was huge (probably 75% too big, maybe more). I was thinking maybe there can only be so many pixels per inch, and because I had it set too high, the dimensions of the doc. were distorted. Anyone know if there is such a magick number?

It had increased significantly in size regardless of what file format I saved the image as.

Oct 7, 2013If I try to draw a square box in any size, illustator does not make it square.
For example, if I select the Rectangle Tool, click in the art space and set the rectangle to one inch by one inch, I get a box that is 1.0003 by 1.0003
Here is a screen shot of what I am getting.
This is also happening to any rectangle and circle.
Even if I hold down shift to keep the preportions lock, it still happens.
I have check and nothing is snapping or set to snap.
This is a major issue for me as I use illustator for creating dielines and those dielines need to be very accurate.

Mar 9, 2013When I'm looking at photos in my Library, I'd like to be able to sort them in terms of size.
A photo of 50 k is only of marginal interest for limited upload only. A photo of 15 mg is of great interest. The size tells me that it's at least moderately hi res and that there are probably a lot of pixels involved, and a good print can be made for publication or whatever. But I can't see a way to sort by image size. Is there a way? I'd like to separate a photo with a size of 720 X 480 from a photo with a size of 100 X 75.

Sep 23, 2013I am checking the size of a photo as it needs to be as near as dammit to 10MB. this is it in Photoshop So it's 9.92MB. But this is what is shown when I select the folder it's in and to go list view (its the picture at the very top of list) / 1.9MB! Which is correct?

Jan 10, 2014we were working on some planning stuff, altogether more than 100ha in area. in Cad2006, I assembled 6 pieces of colored plans (jpg), each above 10 MB. I did this because scaling and aligning files this size in Photoshop is a real pain and inaccurate.. anyway, when I printed them to pdf (I did select for maximum quality in printing dialog), the lines in the image was a bit fuzzy when viewed for original size. the original ones are sharp as hell on the same scale. and I made sure I DID NOT print larger than the original. luckily the quality loss was not obvious for final use on the A1 poster. still, I wonder if anything can be done to output losslessly.

Paint Shop Pro :: X4 Darkens (reduces Exposure) When Opening New RAW Files?
Aug 19, 2012I've seen a strange behaviour when it opens a new batch of DNG RAW files from my Pentax K-R; it seems to automatically take a stop or two of exposure out of all of the photos, regardless of whether or not they were under/overexposed. I can watch it going through them one by one and reducing the exposure of each photo in that batch. So far I don't think that it's lost any information (crushed the blacks beyond repair) but it's annoying that now I have to go back and bring all the photos back up a stop of two to return them to a correct exposure. The same behaviour is not present when I open the DNG files in the Pentax photo editor (Silky-Pix).
Is there some sort of auto-behaviour that is doing this? I've looked through all the options / preferences that I can find and haven't come across anything that seems to be related. Asside from this I've been very happy with X4 and I think it's a great value for what it does, but I'm holding off on editing my latest batch of pics until I figure this out.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Dimension Text Grip Edit Reduces Line Spacing?
Jun 27, 2011If I place a dimension and have text above and below the dimension line (using X), and then grip edit the dimension text to move it for space/clarity on plans, the text above and below the line will mysteriously move closer to the line. If I have backgrounds applied to the text, which I normally do, the backgrounds will cover the line. Even without the background, it looks odd next to other dimensions that were not grip edited.
