Sep 13, 2013PSE11 organizer is apparently "unsorting" images imported from disc. Consequently sequences of pics are completely mixed up. Can it be corrected?

May 16, 2013I am new to LR 3 , after downloading photo's from 3 CF cards from a wedding then editing I put chosen best shots into a smart collection and all seemed in order numbers wise etc, when I burnt to a disc they are now not in order of the days event, how can I make sure they are of the following : -
1 - All the same size photo's ready to be printed or put in an album.
2 - How can I make sure the order in which I see them in the library smart collection is burnt in the same order onto a disc, as I have burnt from library and they are all out of order of the wedding event when looked at on the disc !!

Sep 29, 2013I am trying to find out if there are limitations in PSE's Organizer that make it pointless for people with large numbers of photos to bother buying PSE 12.
I imported 1050 JPEGs into My Catalog without problem using PSE 8 but all subsequent imported JPEGs show up as Thumbnails that are Opague with an Hourglass design on them. This makes organizing these images impossibly slow. When I created a new catalog, imported thumbnails were visible again.
But what to do about the 1050 images in the original catalog? I've got two thick "how-to" books and they say nothing about copying images from one catalog to another.
More important, to have confidence to buy PSE 12, I need to know what caused the 'invisible' thumbnails in the original catalog and is it something that could happen again after another two years of scanning, importing and trying to organize?

Mar 27, 2013Apparently in 2012 and confirmed in 2013, the drawings listed in the Model Views tab are seemingly unsorted. It's certainly not sorted by date or by name, which makes it difficult at best to find a file by name.
Does any copy of 2008 or earlier that could check this out, since this post says it sorted alphabetically prior to 2009 (and as I recall, it did).Other references to this bug: URLs....
Maya :: Changing History Order
Aug 18, 2012I am aware we can change the order of history in maya. I have a specific situation i d like to solve and basically is this:
Say i have a 1x1 rectangle. Now i apply to it, say, 2 split edge rings. And then i apply a mesh/transfer attributes, so that this rectangle will basically snap to a chosen surface. If i edit now the edge rings positions, everything is cool and will work as expected, because these rings have precedence over the transfer attribute tool. So far so good. If i now add a new edge ring to that rectangle, as you are already seeing, will not be taken into account by the transfer attributes tool, as it lays after in the history tree. So my question is:
How will i put this last edge ring node before the transf. attrib tool? This would be really great for my topo workflow. So graphically, so that it is more clear i want this:
POLY---RING1---RING2---TRANSF.ATTRIB.---RING3
CHANGE TO
POLY---RING1---RING2---RING3---TRANSF.ATTRIB.
I suppose the natural way of doing it would be in the hypergraph... I gave it a shot, but i couldnt really do it. I studied the connections in hypergraph, but i couldnt even replicate.... Things like WORLD that need to be connected would show greyed out on the other side so i could not connect anything. What is weird is that this are the connections maya does, but if i try, it shows greyed out.

Jun 9, 2013Setting a stroke profile (variable line width) on a closed shape changes the stroke width from narrow to wide. I would like to have the "wide" width in a different place and a "narrow" width somewhere else. I guess a way to do this would be to change the node orders of the closed shape?

Oct 21, 2013Within the drawing title block we have a 'Text' of type 'Custom Properties - Model' which pulls in a custom iprop from a model which is the models finished weight. This is a common way of auto populating title box entries.
The problem is that the sheet populates the text with the info related to the first viewport placed upon the drawing.
Whilst fine when planned for properly, I quite often encounter upon large multisheet detail drawings, that a user when detailing an IAM, will have forgotten to put the IAM view down first, especially later in the drawing series where the IAM is not required and the user is detailing IPT's.
What I am looking for is a way to change which viewport the border properties are related to ideally, so that if a user has forgotten to place the IAM but has placed 20 IPT's down, I could place an IAM outside of the maximum area, as the 21st object but fool Inventor into thinking this was the first viewport placed down, thus populating the border info correctly.
I don't know of a way to do this currently, either with current Inventor functionality, or by programmatic approach - our current fix is to have the user create another drawing sheet, place the IAM outside the maximum area, copy all his IPT viewports across from the first sheet, then delete the first sheet. Is it possible to change the object order of placed viewports with less disruption?
Photoshop Elements :: Why Won't Photo Album Transfer To Disc
Feb 11, 2013Why won't my photo album copy to a disc or another folder on the hard drive. It shows that it copied but when you try to open it it says no files found. For some reason adobe element 11 is blocking my album from going anywhere but to shutter-fly or to stay in the create of 11. I have worked 2 day on my album and not i can't get it published into a book.
