Photoshop Elements :: How To Resize And Change Transparency Of Logo
Mar 6, 2014
Just had a logo designed and would like to add it to my existing photos. How do I resize and change the transparency of the logo when applying it to an existing photo. Everything I have tried so far the logo just covers the picture and I can't move it or resize it much less change the transparency. I am an amatuer and really don't want to put out the big bucks for photoshop itself.
I would like to take a photo of a car and change the color of the paint. I would also like to cut and paste (resize) new wheels. Is Photoshop Elements 11 capable?
When resizing (either image size or canvas size) I can't tell which numbers I've highlit, as the highlight colour is dark blue on a dark grey background. Is there any way of changing this to something more useful?
I've been given a rather large jpg file containing a client's logo. The dimensions are huge - 6299 x 1890. I need to resize the image without losing clarity. What steps must I take to do this? Is Photoshop the best place to handle this task, or is Illustrator a better fit?
way to make the cineMax logos (on top), in photoshop? if i make the logo in maya or ulead 3d , then , how can i achieve that color , transparency and ilumination?
I've got an all type logo saved as a PNG and need it in different sizes. How can keep the spacing and type customization from the original logo and generate versions with a smaller (or bigger) type size?
I have a logo with a transparent object (trying to achieve a stamped/weathered look), transparency set at 80%. When I go to save as pdf, the object looks jagged and 100% (no transparency).
I got my logo and the online company sent it in low resolution, I asked for the proper resolution for my web page and the company sent me this :
The AI (Vector) file(s) in the zip file are to be utilized for all high-res. And commercial printing applications. It is an Adobe Illustrator file and can only be opened and/or utilized if you have this professional design software. All commercial printers will have access to utilize these files.
I got the adobe illustrator and I am trying to fix the logo and just can not get the size.
I am trying to resize a logo to place on a business card. When I insert the logo and hit ctrl+shift to resize with the cornerbox I shrink it and the box becomes smaller but the image stays the same size. So pretty much it is merely just zooming into the logo and cutting off the picture. It is a jpeg. file. Beginner at InDesign here.
I design flags for people and have worked with Illustrator for just over a year. Most logo's I've worked are 2D and I've never had any issues that I could overcome ( I learn as I go along) however I have been given a logo which has the Extrude & Bevel effect on (which I haven't worked with before) (see first image). I have to make this logo much bigger but when i do it stretches and reshapes the logo. (see 2nd image).
The scale stroke & effect box, is checked. I am working in CS6. So how do I resize this logo proportionately?
I created logo with a gradient object. The gradient is with a single color and transparency.
I can not export the logo, ( Ai, eps or pdf) in InDesign and keep the transparency of the gradient. Transparency becomes white. For the pdf, not only I do not have the transparency of the gradient, but I also have a block of white around my logo.
I've got a regular B&W logo that I'd like to add a little color to. I'm using photoshop CS and I've messed with the "Replace Color" feature but I can't get it to do anything. I would just select the black portion and then fill w/ my color but I'm getting jaggies etc...
I have a logo which ia transparent (psd file) that has some black color and I want to place it in a poster which has also black background color. So, I need to change the background color of this logo.
I've been trying to solve this problem for the past months. Everytime I needed our company logo, but everytime it failed and I setteled for the low resolution blue logo I allready have.
So far I tried combinations of the following:
changing .tiff into .PSD grayscale into CMYK
changing hue and saturation
1 goto Layer - New adjustment layer - Curves - change the blend mode to "Screen" 2 goto Layer - New adjustment layer - Curves - change the blend mode to "Multiply"
this all results in a slightly lighter or darker picture, but no color..
I've just landed some contract work where I will design glass forms/containers and render realistically. Also, I need to retain transparency so I change backgrounds.
I'm more adept with Photoshop than Illustrator, but would like input on who likes which program for this task, why, and where I can find excellent tutorials before I start spending my tutorials dollars.
i bought photoshop elements 4 and i want to know how to gte a picture to about 24 by 24 picxls and make the background look like there isent one. like the picture is there but the background is invisable.
Is it able to change the transparency of a layer? I know how to get the value but i can't find how to set a new one!
Using acTrans = acDocs.MdiActiveDocument.Database.TransactionManager.StartTransaction() acLyrTbl = acTrans.GetObject(acDocs.MdiActiveDocument.Database.LayerTableId, OpenMode.ForRead) For Each acObjId As ObjectId In acLyrTbl acLyrTblRec = acTrans.GetObject(acObjId, OpenMode.ForRead) Dim MyTransparency As Autodesk.AutoCAD.Colors.Transparency = acLyrTblRec.Transparency MsgBox(MyTransparency.ToString) Next acObjId End Using
I've been trying to make a Doll Maker, and it's come to my attention that I can't figure out how to make a selected area transparent! I just want to select what I want and then mess with the opacity; is that too hard to make it do!?!
I tried searching for this but turned up nothing. It'd be a really useful feature if it can't be done already.
I am a promoter that takes several pics at the various events that I host. I would like to add my logo to the pics that I post online. How can I place my logo on my pics using Photoshop Elements 12?
I have a large background image and I want to change (lower) the transparency of the header portion. I can select the portion with the rectangle, but after that I'm stuck. I tried changing opacity but it affected the entire image. I tried selecting Layer -> transparency -> add alpha channel, but that didn't do anything that I could see. How do I make the rectangle portion that I selected somewhat blurry?
Note: I did simply blur out the header portion of my image as one solution. But is it possible to add a layer over just the header part of the image and make that layer semi transparent?
Is it possible to automatically resize "multiple" photos in Photoshop Elements 4 to 720 x 480 pixels, so that when the resized images are transferred to Premier Elements 2 and then burned onto a DVD the whole image(s) are seen on a TV screen?
Quite often I have found that I must manually resize the images so they fit into the safe margins but this can be a tedious process if there are a lot of photos.
I have used photoshop for years and bought Elements 9 a while back-I have yet been able to resize anything...bad disk? (Yes I know about the reisze tab).
