View 6 RepliesAll, Previously i worked with Excel 97 and Photoshop 7.1.0 or CS3 and i was able to copy a selection to the clipboard from a Photoshop drawing and then paste into an Excel 97 workbook as a Photoshop Object and then resize/format the object within the workbook until the desired format was reached before saving the workbook. No problem. Since upgrading to Excel 2007 i am no longer able to do this. When i paste the Photoshop Object into the Excel workbook it initially pastes fine however as soon as i attempt to resize the object it vanishes and i am left with a small square where the object was and any further attempts to manipulate this object does nothing. Is this a known issue with Excel 2007 or can anybody suggest what may be causing this please?

When I enter a value, such as 2.2, as the height in the Transform box, AI automatically changes the value (to 2.1944, in this case). Is there any way to fix this?
(I have deslected "Align New Objects to Pixel Grid" and have deleted the AIPrefs file. I am working with AI CC and Windows 7.)
Is it possible to automatically resize "multiple" photos in Photoshop Elements 4 to 720 x 480 pixels, so that when the resized images are transferred to Premier Elements 2 and then burned onto a DVD the whole image(s) are seen on a TV screen?
Quite often I have found that I must manually resize the images so they fit into the safe margins but this can be a tedious process if there are a lot of photos.
My photo that I uploaded to the slider in my website is 11.69 MB. It needs to be either 456.64 KB or close to it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am brand new to anything PhotoShop. I have created a talk balloon that I plan on putting it on a photo. I have the text on it already. However, the area outside of the balloon must be tranparent. I made it transparent pixel by pixel. There must be an easier way. So my two questions are:
1. How to make an area of a picture or layer transparent?
2. How to resize a layer or .jpg picture or any picture that can be edited by PS Elements 12
Tried to include the talk balloon file but it failed because of the content.
Elements 12, becuase I got allways a Error Message. I found a really good Tutorial, about this problem and did it step by step:
open as... choose picture(eps)... chose OPEN AS -TIFF...
Now I can edit the picture.
I resize the picture to more than 10000px. After this work the picture looked like ... unsharp.... I saw the pixel and I thounght that was the side-effect of the resize.
I was by a friend, who has the photoshop cs6 software(Stundent...) yesterday. I took the same eps file and opened it in his version. The result is unthinkable. The picture looked very great. I didn't see andy pixel. It looked sharp. Whats the reason for this difference?
I could resize the picture like a skyscraper and it looks alway very great.
I was able to batch process multiple files in PE8. Mainly I need to resize Hi-Res photos into web size, keeping the same file name. PE11 shows Batch Process in the file menu but it is grayed out. What can I do to activate that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a situation where I resized a photo to 7x7 inches and needed a canvas of 8x10 for retail photo processing. I had to enlist a friend to make this happen for me on her photoshop product. That prompted me to want to upgrade to a new software product. Will Photoshop Elements 12 allow me to do this? If not, what product will?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis can't be done in PE and I have to use crop to resize. I surprised that PE cannot resize to inches.
I searched further and found a video on Youtube that demonstrated that PE will resize to inches. The steps in the video were:
1. Select resize, image.
2. Document size:
Enter 6 for width, 4 for height and 300 for resolution (for printing)
Check Scale Styles, Constrains proportions, Resample image, Bicubic
3. The pixel dimensions automatically changed to 1800 width and 1200 for height.
In the video the above steps worked. In my PE, I followed the same steps but the Document size for width changed to 2.99 after I had entered 6 and the Pixel size for width changed to 897.
First, PE change resize to inches but for some reason my PE 11 changes the width after entering 6.
I have used PSE10 to re-size multiple images by selecting the 'Process Multiple Images' option from the drop-down menu undeneath 'File'.
I have just migrated to PSE11 and this option is not available - it is greyed out and cannot be selected.
Once a photo has been imported into an album, how do you resize the photo?
I am using PSE primarily for photos to my website and the photos need to be within a specific size. So when I import directly from my camera into an album, I need to check the size of each photo and edit the size before going to my website.
How can I resize a photo in Elements 12, using the squares around the picture? I want to change the shape of the photo - in my old version, when I changed the size/shape, it would cut off part of the picture (which is what I want in order to get the size I want), whereas in Elements 12 it is just stretching and distorting the photo.
I am using this for a "scrapbook" photo page, where there are multiple photos and text on the page.
