When trying to resize multiple photos in Elements 11 and I click the browse button, It tells me the folder I selected is empty!! It has 17 photos in it in jpeg format If I go on to the destination folder and select one, It tells me I need to select a folder!! Both folders are on the desktop. I am using a Mac 10.6

I have a bunch of product photos that I need to resize to a square (1200x1200). I thought I might be able to import them all into Photoshop, resize them to fit the canvas.... center them all, one by one (not all photos are centered, this is my other issue) and then save them all at once. I have done all the above but cant figure out how to save each layer, as their respective layer name (ie. default photo name) with out flattening the layer and manually saving each one, one by one.
how to save as it wasnt a recorded action since all photos had some individual tweaking to center them on the canvas after I did a group (transform) resize.
I want to create a flat image of the tattoo around my wrist. It seems as soon as i place a photo in Photoshop I cant do anything like that with it. I tried using different layers to place the different photos in, but when I crop one, it crops the entire image.

I go to tranform image size and the outline surrounding the photo only moves up/down or side-to-side. How do I get the outline to move at the corners so I can easily manipulate the size? Either way - FN, CTRL, Win or other buttons do nothing to enlarge photo to where I want to set it. How can I accomplish this - any experts on touchpad conversion to number keypads out there? This is Win8 with PSE11. I just want this computer to get up to par to do some photo editing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat is the best way to use one layer in multiple photos. I separated a group of people in one photo and would like to place them in several other photos. I have been able to have the original photo in the bottom of Elements and copy the separated group. I can copy and paste that as a layer into the working area of another photo and then add it. However sometimes it blurs. Is this because the two photos are different resolutions? Is it possible to have the group as a seperate work but can not use that as a layer. I'm rather new to Elements and just trying to learn.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to print 4 photos on a single 5x7 photo sheet. Print Package seems to be totally unusable. I select 3 photos and can't position them on the screen. I select a 4th photo and it positions it on a 2nd sheet. I can't resize a photo by clicking the image and adjusting the size (like most other windows packages).
If I move a photo it seems to change format from landscape to portrait. I set Printer settings to 5x7 Glossy but whatever option I chose in 'Select a Layout' gives me a message saying The layout selected is larger than paper size - eventhough they're both set to 5x7.
If I select a photo and try and move it, it just duplicates the image somewhere else on the print page - and doesn't let me delete it or undo. I have selected 5x7 paper size and Layout 5x7 (4) but the review screen still doesn't show 4 photos positioned logically.
This task should take 5 minutes - I am now quitting after nearly 2 hours - which included reading many community issues of people trying to do this simple task and clearly having the same problems I have.
I have multiple duplicate photos in my Photoshop Element 10 catalog - I have run across the compare a photo tutorials but I have possiblely some 200+ photos that are duplicates. Any simpler way to remove duplicate photos?

I need to make 13 different posters for a team party by Thursday evening. I want to make 11x14 posters using a photo in the background, and add 4 small ones to it. I put hours into creating these posters, and when I had them printed, the large photo was fine, but the smaller ones are very blurry. I have never had this problem when I have done these in the past......I could understand the big photo getting pixely, but the small ones are usually very sharp.

I need to take around 100 different photos every day and resize them to 7 different sizes in 7 different folders.
Can I automate this process so I place the 100 originals in one folder, open photoshop, run a proceess that will cut all 7 sizes and place the new sizes in the correct folders, all in one action?

I've taken a large quantity of digital photos during the rare snow we had this year. Am new at digital and unfortunately I took at too great of a resolution for what I want to do with them.
I am making GIF backgrounds for PPT, and some grouping will have as many as sixty pics in them. But the file sizes are HUGE (my goof) and GIF animators can't handle them.
Is there any way to compress batches of photos all at once? (Can't find that on the Batch command unfortunately) Resizing them one by one is laborious, even using hotkeys. Time is an issue.
