I do not know why the catalog has changed the file location of "ALL" pictures to the location on my backup drive.
Example: K:My DocumentsMy PicturesPetsPICT1460-1.JPG
The actual location of the original photo is: D:My DocumentsMy PicturesPetsPICT1460-1.JPG
The location of "My Pictures" is on my primary Hard Drive D:My DocumentsMy Pictures
Why is Photoshop changing all of my 37,000+ photo thumbnails to point to my Backup Drive K:?
I need to correct the catalog file. How do I make the correction and stop it from happening in the future?
I got HP Envy with installed PSE 9.
The catlog for PSE was located on the same drive as a programs and even I have almost empty data drive I cannot install any more programs because there is not enough space on the drive for the programs.
Questions:
1. How I can move Catalog to another drive?
2. How I can configure from the start or re-configure PSE to have Catalog in another location/drive?
I backed up my Elements 10 catalog to an external hard drive.I then built a new computer, and installed Elements 10. I then used the Restore feature and restored my catalog to a new location.
All of the pictures came in along with my tags, etc. but all of the pictures are showing a generic icon with a question mark, meaning that they are all disconnected.
When I click on a picture and look at the location, it is still showing the old location, even though I used the Restore function and specific a new location, so Elements obviously knows where the pictures are because it put them there!!!
Is there any way to make the catalog display the pictures by Folder Location, rather than by Thumbnail view, every time I reopen it?

I search the hardrive for pse10db or any other catalogue files but find nothing. Where the heck is PSE11 locating the catalogue?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was trying to create a simple slideshow with sound when first my computer warned of low memory (something that doesn't seem plausible), and then Photoshop Elements 9 and the associated organizer crashed. When I brought it back, several photos were "grayed out" and my organizer is completely frozen. The error suggests that there are corrupt files. I tried to follow the instructions on the website, but cannot find any sort of Catalog menu or means of changing anything in the catalog or organizer as indicated in the troubleshooting and restoration instructions.

LR4.3 installed to the C: drive (default installation). I am now copying from my external drive all photos to the larger D: data drive.
Of course, I have the very latest catalog backed up to multiple places. The old laptop (Windows 7) was just a single C: drive instead of the two drives I now have.
2 Q: 1) To what location do I copy that backup LR4 catalog?
2) As I remember from some years ago, I also need to double-click on that LR4 catalog once it's in the proper place. Is that right?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor a while I've been using my Lightroom on my Mac on a folder inside my Google Drive folder. The reason for this is that I have an online backup as well my 2 external hard drive backups (you can NEVER have too many backups ).

Anyway, my plan is to move my Catalog to another folder in my root drive, aptly titled “Copy”. So, I created a new folder within Lightroom, and went to move it, (whilst using the Lightroom interface) — so far I'm pretty sure this is the correct way, but I've attached a screenshot of the message that came up. This should be ok shouldn't it? I've attached screenshots of where I want to move it to, and the prompt that came up.
My main hdd was about to crash. i bought a new ssd drive. it isnt big enough to fit original os, programs and images. So I moved images from main hdd to an external hdd. I moved catalog to a new primary hdd with a fresh install. When I load the catalog, the images are missing. When I select locate and find target files, I think it's importing them back to the main hdd. Does it move the file or just change where it's pointing to the file. If it moves the file then I will run out of space again and defeat the purpose!!

I've assigned fixed drive letters to both E: and F: I've recently upgraded to an SSD - cloned my entire HDD but now Lightroom shows the content on the 2 external drives swithced around. The folders that are physically on drive E: show as if they shoud be on F: but with the missing icon next to them. And vice versa, the ones that are on F: show as if they should be on E: with missing icon.

The catalog is named My Catalog 2 is located at C:ProgramDataAdobeElements OrganizerCatalogsMy Catalog 2. It is the only catalog I use and is the one that opens up when I launch Organizer. But, for the life of me, I can't get it to show up in the Catalog Manager. The only catalog that shows up is the original catalog which is at a different location and was created when I installed PSE11 on my new computer (Thinkpad W530, Windows 8). I've tried the Custom Location option and browsing to the location, but still no dice. This catalog has thousands of pictures and was converted from my previous PSE6 catalog. How do I get the Catalog Manager to find my current active catalog?
I can drag and drop a preview from one folder to another but I have not discovered yet how to make a copy by dragging and dropping in the library module
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just cloned my hard disk (named PI) to a new one named TAU. Now they both contain my enormous catalog of 800 GB of Lightroom catalog and files.
I removed my initial hard disk PI and put it in a safe location (just saying this so you know I have a backup)
I start Lightroom 5 and open the ircat file on TAU but all the pictures have an ! meaning they are missing (but the pictures are all there). How do I get Lightroom to recognize the new location?
In my catalog settings the path correctly points to the new hard drive and the folder where the photos and catalog are located, however within the application there is no way to navigate among the files and folders of my collection as there was before.

I have several blocks spaced evenly apart and I need to copy and paste another block and insert it with the same spacing. I don't want to take the step to find out how far apart they are. I believe there's a way to use the insert command to figure out the distance the next block needs to be placed when I paste it.
I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly or if I can paste the block using the insert command.
I copied the pressure pipe catalogs to our local network and in C3D 2014 set the catalog to the network location.
When I close C3D and reopen, it reverts back to the original catalog location on my C drive.
Setting a different location for regular pipe networks works fine.
Is there something I'm missing or does this method not work for pressure networks.

Back in LR1 and LR2, when I tried to import images that were already present in the catalog, I had an option to show me / select the already imported images. This is gone in LR4. How can I find in the library the already imported images without fecthing them one by one ?
