I do not know why the catalog has changed the file location of "ALL" pictures to the location on my backup drive.
Example: K:My DocumentsMy PicturesPetsPICT1460-1.JPG
The actual location of the original photo is: D:My DocumentsMy PicturesPetsPICT1460-1.JPG
The location of "My Pictures" is on my primary Hard Drive D:My DocumentsMy Pictures
Why is Photoshop changing all of my 37,000+ photo thumbnails to point to my Backup Drive K:?
I need to correct the catalog file. How do I make the correction and stop it from happening in the future?
Is there a way to find a location on an image.? Let's say I have an image of 1024 x 768 and I want to find the pixel at 354 x 47. How do I do that? Right now I'm using the rectangle selection tool and dragging it around because I can see the coordinates at the bottom of the screen which seems a little
View 2 Replies View RelatedI will select a section of an image using the lasso or magnetic lasso, click on the quick mask icon and it highlights the areas as you expect it to. Set the foreground color to whit and select a brush to touch up the edges, but when I try and touch up, the brush does nothing.
Same thing for the erasor, they do nothing at all. Where is the problem?
it seems to work with loaded brushes and not the default brushes.
When I use Quick Mask for masking an area that I want to copy and paste, then go to standard edit mode, I see the marching ants, so far so good, except when I paste the Image into another image it's looks too be about 25% transparent.
If I use lasso tool too do same thing, no problem, no
transparency..
What's happening? I've reloaded the program twice now,
problem still exists.
Am working on iProperties and i am trying to find the iProperty Location. I tried
-Inventor User Defined Properties
-Inventor Summary Information
-Design Tracking Property
But i am unable to find the Location iProperty.. how to find this location.
I have several blocks spaced evenly apart and I need to copy and paste another block and insert it with the same spacing. I don't want to take the step to find out how far apart they are. I believe there's a way to use the insert command to figure out the distance the next block needs to be placed when I paste it.
I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly or if I can paste the block using the insert command.
I can't get quickmask to work correctly in photoshop. Each thing I try to mask and then copy ends up having 50% or so opacity. All the layers are at 100% opacity, and in the quickmask options opactiy is also at 100%. Anyone know what could be wrong?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using Quickmask a lot, and I find a few of the user interface issues in it befuddling.
1) Sometimes when I change to quickmask mode (Q key), the foreground and background colors reverse. Sometimes they don't. Right now they do on one computer but don't on the other. I have never been able to figure out why this is, or what I can do to change it. (FWIW, I find the reversing of colors to be most confusing, and I like it when they don't change).
2) When I go into Quickmask mode and then out, my selected layer changes. If I have a layer mask selected, then hitting the Q key twice will change the selection from the layer mask to the layer pixels. I can't tell you how many times this has led me to edit the pixels rather than the mask. Is there some way to turn this off, so that the layer mask stays selected? (If not, I'll post this as a feature request).
3) I tend to work in full-screen mode. Is there some easily-recognized cue to whether I am in quickmask mode or not other than the hard-to-see "pressed" state of the quickmask button? I am continually getting confused as sometimes when I am working quickly, it seems like the Q doesn't register, so I hit it twice, and then I spend a few seconds trying to figure out which mode I am in. I like the text in the window frame which gives me instant feedback of my status, but I like the extra pixels of fullscreen mode. Is there another option that gives me full screen but easily-seen feedback on my editing mode?
I'm using Photoshop CS 6 for Macintosh.

When I issue the Wblock Command I can not find the Dialog box to select objects and file location... This happens in the Layer Dialog when I try to change the color of a layer, the Color Dialog box can not be found. When I use the Block command the dialog box pops up, so I can see it.

We have user folders on severall servers, now I want the user menu's to be stored on the network so their home folder depends on what server it's located on. I tried using the vl-file-directory-p command but it doesn't seem to work.
Even worse, as soon as the userfolder is found I want to let the script check for a file called user.cuix in the Acad folder and if it doesn't excists copy it from another location to that folder (if possible).
This is what I got so far:
(setq UserName (getvar "loginname"))
(setq RootZW "\\users\zw\")
(setq RootVL "\\users\vl\")
(setq Company "\\CADConf\ACAD13\")
[Code] ..........
Next to this we have 4 other options as well, but to keep it short I left it at the first 2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to save a quickmask (or channel/path) that can be applied to multiple other pics. I'm in need of a mask so I can color the same parts of a texture file (dds) for various colors and on 3 or 4 different texture files.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to use a tool in PS 5.5 that I can't find in PS7. I believe you would select an area, then you could mirror that area onto a different part of the picture, and it even gave you a display window showing you the original area you selected. Does anyone know what this tool is called and where it's located in Photoshop 7?
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy lead wants a group of all the tool palettes that i have created for all users to use.I have exported all of the palettes to a location on the network. I also exported the group to the same location. I had the user redirect the tool palette path in the Options>Files. The problem that i am running into is that when the users are loading up the tool palettes, they have to import each tool palette seperately then add them to a group.
Is it possible to have the tool palettes in a location on the network and have each of the users import the group only?
It seems unlike previous PC's, when i sart up AutoCAD my new set up reverts the location of the tool palletes to open center to my screen 1 even after i have positioned it on screen two.
I understand the tool palette should hold its location in the position i last placed it.. in screen two. as do you toolbars....
Why does the tool palette keep reverting back the center location on my screen, not where it was placed
