I am trying to create a custom image that I will later use to crop my pictures to that shape. I have been search the web and can't seem to find how to do that with Photoshop Elements 10.
I want to create DDS images with custom mipmaps only using Paint.net. This could be done by using layers in a similar way to how animated images can be made. For example, we have a 512x512 image, then we import an image half that size with whatever we want the next mipmap to be as a separate layer. Then we have a 256x256 texture in the top right corner of the image while still retaining the 512x512 canvas size.
When I was using an older Photoshop version ...I could select "print with preview" and there I could adjust the size and proportion of the image to the paper size - I would see the paper in a preview box and could adjust the image by sliding the box at the corner points and size the image any way I wanted ... and could see the actual preview of how the image could fit on the paper .... in Elements 11 - even if I do a PDF and print in Preview- there's no way I can see to do that ... I only see options for set sizes- even under the custom sizing menu ... I'm using exactly the same printer that I used with Photoshop - so I'm assuming this is a limitation with Elements ... I don't even see the option in Elements printing to change the image percentage as I've been used to with any other page setup before ....
I am trying to open .jpg images in Elements 12 running on Windows 8. File, Open, (select image from thumbnails provided in directory) Nothing happens. The image doesn't appear on screen. If I try to create a new image (File, New), nothing happens either.
My ultimate goal is to have a virtual human model that I can re-size parametrically to reflect real-world measurements. I've used MAX to make architectural models and scenes so I know how to manipulate basic shapes in MAX.
how to make some sort of basic-custom geometric shape and control that shape parametrically, like the built-in "Box", "Sphere" and "Cylinder" objects.
I'm trying to figure out how to create an iLogic rule that would create a Custom iProperties and put in what version of Inventor the file was last updated with.
If I want to apply lens correction in ACR thgere is a dropdown list of lenses, but my lens isn't included. presumably because it has been superceded by the 12 - 24.
So, is it possible to create a custom profile for this lens and save it for future use? if so how do I do this?
I'm wanting to load a png file into photoshop & use a customised menu bar or perhaps a plugin to supply some specific image information as I work. The image is a game height-map. The pixel hex value represents the height of the terrain.
I wanting to load my map (image) into PS & display a new menu bar containing this information in textboxes & the like:
1. The hex value of the pixel the mouse is hovering over.
2. The corresponding height related to that hex value. This would be a customised calcuated field (textbox).
3. A combo or spinbox with height values, so that you would select the desired height to pain onto the map, and the pain fill tool would automatically select the corresponding color to pain based on custom calculated conversion of height to correcponsing hex (color) value.
Do I need to write a plugin? or maybe ctionscript with a custom toolbar?
I want to create similar effect using glass / distort filter but can't achieve it somehow co'z that filter doesn't allow you to add glass with custom shapes or horizontal / vertical.
When I'm using the custom shape tool in CS6, it will often bring up a new window labeled "create custom shape". It's really disruptive and I'd like to know how I can disable it to prevent it from poping up.
I thought I used to be able to select a shape and then select a size and then just click and there is was. Now a dialog box pops up ("create custom shape")and asks for a size every time.
how to create a custom brush shape. Is there a way to create a custom effects using your own shape but creating an effect similar to the one you get with the butterfly or flower brush, like this?
I am trying to create a custom detail line, if possible?
Is there any way to create a custom detail line which will be a dashed line (similar to Hidden) as well as containing arrows every "X" feet or inches. i am attaching an image that is what i would like to create so i don't draw from scratch.
I would like for it to function as a line, spline, shape, whatever the needs may be.
Is there a way to create a custom fascia in Revit Architecture 2012? I am trying to create a 3/4" thick metal panel on 3-5/8" metal stud that is 2'-6" tall.
1) I'm trying to do is to create an ellipse that has less steep curves at its corners (essentially making it a little more rectangular). I realize that if you create an ellipse, then use the direction tool, you can pull on the guidelines to make the curves less steep and achieve the affect I want. However, I was wondering, is there a feature when I can just enter in an amount and it will adjust all four corners to that amount without me having to fineagle with the direction tool?
2) Is it possible to create my own custom type of elipse where when I use the ellipse tool, and drag it out to make an elipse, it will already have these corners that I'd like?
I just upgraded to PSE 12. As I was organizing my photos and adding Tags, I accidentally put a wrong tag on a photo. When I right-click on the photo, I see the option that says "Remove Keyword Tag". When I hover the mouse over that option, however, the only tags that are listed are the ones that PSE 12 automatically assigned. It does not list the ones that I assigned. In the bottom of the right-hand column under "Image Tags", it does list the Tags I assigned. However, PSE does not allow me to edit those tags in any way other than to add a custom tag.
Incidentally, how would I edit those? Are they added to the list of tags above?
I have been trying to research how to create a custom surface. I found this article [URL]...... about how to to create a surface from a jpeg. The article says to "expand color on the top left." of the style editor. However, when I open the dialogue there is no "color" that can be expanded. The only thing in the top left of dialogue box is "lighting." Is there another step that the article misses, or is there another way for me to create a surface from a jpeg?
I'm trying to create a custom floor tile but having issues doing it. 1st I create a generic 12' create floor, then use that floor to create a subfloor to try to create a tiled floor that is offset 1/4" from the initial floor. I select the floor, click edit material, select ceramic tile,.. get to the graphics property, select surface pattern and select 12" tile, click done, then OK but ... nothing happens.
I would also like to customize a pattern. I would like to create a patter that uses a 12"X12" tile with (2) 5 7/8"X5 7/8" tiles.
I tried to use the *.PAT technique but finding it difficult to do what I want so I found the hatch22 but still find that rather difficult.
I want to create an custom parameter like "button" under my object parameters or in attribute holder and i want this button run a simple code/script for me.
for example: linking Box1 to Box2 $.parent = $Box002
I know how to work with "wire parameter" and "parameter editor" but the problem is that i cant find any way to tell them to run this script with that parameter.
can i collect multiple nodes and collapsed them into a single node (group) and export it as a single new node (custom node ) where then i can add or expose/hide any original parameter as well as creating my custom (new) parameter or button where the button will be controlled by expression (python or similar) to do custom task. It's like in Sidefx houdini and foundry Nuke (pure node based app). can i do this in smoke.
i'm trying to create a custom shaped viewport. Instead of using just a rectangular viewport I need to make it polygon shaped. I know I've done it before but for the life of me I cannot remember how. I'm using ACAD MEP 2011.
How to create and populate a new custom dictionary in with vb.net. None of the examples I could find (that I think would work) were written in vb and weren't very well documented. So I guess what I would like is a push in the right direction.
