Photoshop :: Cursor Moving But Doesn't Leave A Mark
Oct 10, 2008I am not seeing any writing or drawing when using brushes. The cursor moves around the page, but doesn't leave a mark.

View 3 RepliesI am encountering a problem using AutoCAD Civil 3d 2012. When finishing a certain command and going back to the ribbon, my cursor does not want to go out of the modelspace. So i can't click any command in the ribbon, or in any other program outside of AutoCAD.
Even when pressing escape to stop a command, nothing changes. Using the viewcube solves this problem for one time. But every time I draw a line or even zooming, the problem comes back again.
I'm still playing around with CS-2 on the Mac and have got a question about adjusting how much the cursor will move, can't seem to find a place to adjust it.
I had cut out an object from one photo and was trying to place it on another photo. However it dosn't seem to want to move exactly to the place I would like to put it. The increments seem to be large when I try to move it around.
I am a photographer and am using CS5 for image manipulation . I have recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad to use for editing but it seems to have an issue with the space bar shortcut. As soon as I press the space bar, the cursor will not move, I cannot click, not right click. If I plug in a USB Mouse, it will work fine.
Obviously most of the time I will be using a mouse, but it is most frustrating when I'm using the scratch pad and cannot pan around the image. I have checked through all the settings I can find regarding the scratch pad.
sometimes (there is no rule) when i'm opening a Color Picker window and moving cursor on the palette - my internet browser opens Adobe site. When i try to get back to PS it immediately starts another tab, and another it takes less than 1 second..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a layer I'm resizing and is currently in Transform. When I beging to drag the layer to position while it is in resize the center reference point will jump to my mouse causing me to move the reference point outside of the tranform layer. Normally I would have to click on the reference point and drag it intentionally or hold CTRL and click in the transformed layer to set a reference point, but it since CS6 is had still remainded in CC.
This happens when I transform the layer (Ctrl+T) and then grab the layer to move. I have to put the reference point back to center via mouse or by the reference point on the menu bar up top. Then I can go back and drag my later where I need it to finish my transform.
New to CAD, so probably typical newby problem. When I try to draw (in Nanocad, since it's the only one I can afford) I don't see what I'm doing, i.e. the lines and figures keep disappearing when I move the cursor. Trying again I see my drawings very briefly and then they're gone again. Tried all and every button, menu etc. and hardware is okay.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMultiple times, when I have been working in a file, my cursor can no longer move smoothly over the drawing space. Istead, it moves as if it was in a grid and I can not move the cursor freely. The grid view is off so that is not the problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I move my mouse over my image the brush cursor is not moving and it will not let me click on my image (with the mouse) the crosshair/cursor will follow it, however the brush will not, nor will any other tools, my wacom tablet however works fine.
I thought it must be something to do with GIMP accepting input but its not going as of yet.
I use tabs in my document for indentation. When my cursor is at the beginning of a line, and I use the up/down keys, the cursor always jumps to the end of the first tab.
This only happens in tab-indent, not space-indent.
Is this supposed to be a "feature"? How can I make it stay at the same cursor position when navigating with arrow keys?
When I switch from 2D top view to an isometric view my cursor disappears. This is a completely new drawing file so maybe something is not set right.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just started using Inventor and I have this issue, that whenever I set a dimension in a sketch, the sketch doesn't update to the new dimension until I move my mouse/cursor. Is this normal? Is there any way to change it so it updates as soon as I hit the enter button (after entering a dimension)
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is a incosistent problem, in which I cannot determine why it's happening and it doesn't happen all the time. I often restart Lightroom and it is ok after that.
In a small area of the screen the curser doesn't function. I cannot select an image or anything in that area while in the library module and when in the develop module brushes change back to the arrow icon and don't allow me to click in that area.
This is my first time using Lightroom and am currently using version 4.3 that I downloaded from the Mac App store. I am running a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.8.2 Mountain lion.
I'm programming buttons in Edge Animate, which are just symbols with their own timeline. I've given them actions in click, mouseover and mouseout states. They just call URLs and work correctly, but I've noticed that the cursor doesn't turn into pointer (the hand pointing with the forefinger) in mouseover state. This creates a bit strange feeling, because users won't be sure that they are buttons before they click them...
View 2 Replies View RelatedSomehow, the little triangle that opens and closes the Quick Develop Module in my Library has become solid, so it no longer pops the menu open when I glide my cursor over to the right side of a full screen image. How do I get the Quick develop module triangle to have that shadow look again so that when I glide the cursor to it the module opens.
I must have changed this with a keystroke or something but for the life of me I cannot get it back and it's driving me crazy. I do not like the module open all the time and it's a pain to use the keystroke or click the triangle each time I need to make a quick adjustment. I hope this is not an upgrade change. I notice it is the same in my develop module.
In dialog boxes the drop down menus appear blank until I drag the mouse over it then the contents appear as I drag the mouse across. Also the cursor doesn't echo back (flash). I have tried updating drivers to no avail.
Running Civil 3D 2011 with all updates.

I have attached a couple images to illustrate.
Everytime i press the shift key and quotation mark key for the double quotation mark to display on my text on PS cs5 doesn't work. It display a double arrow instead.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy doesn't appear the trace of an object or line when i'm drawing it or moving it?
In Autocad 2005.
I am animating comps in After Effects CS6, and I'm quickly moving objects across the screen using positioning keyframes and changing size using scaling keyframes. Most of the time it works great; but sometimes the motion blur effect keeps appearing *after* the object has stopped moving. Not just for a second -- but forever. It appears correct when scrubbing on the timeline, but when I render the final output movie, a non-moving object sometimes has motion blur all over it.
Sometimes I can fix it by un-parenting some layers inside the comp... other times it doesn't fix it. Sometimes I just delete it and start over and it works. Seems more like a bug then something I'm doing wrong.
I also tried on my Mac Pro tower and Macbook Pro laptop in case it was a graphics card issue; it isn't, the exact same problem manifests itself in both areas. I did just discover that turning continuous raster OFF does seem to fix the problem--but then my vector images are blurry when I zoom in... and that again sounds more like a bug, not like an incorrect setting.
I have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to select part of an image with just one layer. Say I just flattened the image and have to move one part of. I select it with the rectangular select tool. It seems intuitive that I could then just move what I selected, but when I drag the selection, the selection itself moves without moving what is inside the selection.
If I then remember to click the move tool and try to move what's in the selection (seems to work sometimes, maybe when there's multiple layers?) the entire image moves.
The only way I can move part of the image over is if I make a selection and then cut it (ctrl X) then paste it.
How am I supposed to move part of the flattened image, is there a way I can set it to default to "When I select something, I can immediately drag that selected area around."
How do I take out donald, the wording and leaving only the background?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to some how take out my pic only , meaning leaving the backgroung behind.
I tried doing it through Magic wand but it did not work. Or is it possible I change the background of the pics like make it white?
I'm working together with a photographic studio in order to study better ways to cut subjects in their photos. So, instead of using the ways we use to cut. We have taken 2 photos for the product. The first is only the background, and the second is the beackground with the product. Look at the attachments in this message. It's a simple example (not taken in the studio, with control of lights and so on, but should work for testing purposes).
Looking at the 2 images, you can see the bottle and his reflex or shadow is the unique content that changes between the 2 scenarios. If you try, for example, place each file as a layer, group them into a smart object then use stack modes, you can take off the bottle from the scenario. We are trying to find a way to get the inverse (leave only the bottle). So, if finding any combination of technique that works, we could speed time in the cutting process by already taking images this way.
(perhaps a combination of blending, use of channels....), anything that could compare the 2 images and calculate the different pixels (this case, the bottle)? or perhaps reach an alpha channel that makes easy to perfectlly cut the image. The difference blending mode, for example, makes a calculation of pixels, but I did not get so much sucess working based on this blend
can i change the color of skin without leaving it looking like plastic? if i use fill all the texture is gone. i use xp and cs2.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have some logos which all have a white background. I want to remove this white background to leave it transparent. So far I've managed to remove it but it hasn't been very clean as I've had to do it with brushes and lassos and havent had the effect I want.
I want a clean edge but these all leave grey pixels that blended from the black edge into the white background or just remove the black completely.
I'm looking for a reasonably quick way to do this, as I have 16 logos to get through and not too long to do it in.
I'm working on a project with simple black lines (curves and geometric shapes) and bold reds, but I'd like to be able to remove the color values so the image is a simple black-and-white outline (think coloring book style ~ I'd like a template to use with other colors down the road). But... having mediocre skills with the program, I'm not sure how to do it. I've tried using the paint bucket features, just filling in the colored areas with white, but I find that depletes the black outlines or makes them jagged -- or worse, they find breaks and the color leaks out. I've tried using the magic wand to select only the colored area, then filling it with white to avoid ruining the outline, but then there is a oh-so-faint (but bothersome to me) ring of red around the black outline. So, I'm thinking, this is such a versatile program that there's got to be a way to manipulate the image to remove the red without compromising the quality of the lines...
I've attached a little snippet of a bit of the image I'm working with so you can get an idea of the "mechanics" (for lack of a better term) of the picture. Also FYI: The outline thicknesses vary between 3 and 6 pixels with thicker "curls" at the end (I'd guess the thickest would be 12-15 pixels wide) and are all done with the pen tool.
I have created a new layer mask of an image, but when I use the free transform tool to resize it so it is smaller, there is a faint grey outline left around the image. Why does this happen and how do I get rid of it?
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy cursor appears and disappears while in GIMP as I move the cursor over the canvas. I can make the cursor appear but only if there is no movement of the cursor. It makes no difference which tool I select, the size of the canvas, or the level of zoom.
Please note that this only occurs in Gimp, and none of my other applications. It started when I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my input device configuration, but I could be totally wrong.
I have a total of 3 input devices - Core Pointer, Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, and Virtual Core XTEST Pointer. Both the Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer are DISABLED. Core Pointer is the only one enabled. Enabling Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer give me other problems in Gimp and need to remain disabled.
For the Core Pointer, Mode is set to SCREEN, a message says that 'The axis X has no curve', and the following Axis Settings:
X 1
Y 2
Pressure none
xtilt none
ytilt none
wheel none
In Gimp Preferences->Input Controllers, there are three active controllers - Mouse Buttons, Main Mouse Wheel, and Main Keyboard.
