View 1 RepliesUsually the tool cursor is a circle the size the tool is set to, that is, it will be 60 pixels in diameter when the tool size is set to 60 pixels. Sometimes, the tool cursor changes to a gun sight-like icon. I have no idea what I'm doing to cause that, but I'd like to know in order to 1) stop doing it, and 2) maintain my sanity.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently had to reinstall my OS (Win 7 64 bit) and after doing the same to my photoshop program, I now get a flashing cursor that changes to a waiting circle. Other post talked about DPI and Java, which I have checked and still have the same problem. I've had the program installed on the same computer without this problem, and the setup is the same with the usual update in drivers.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI just started using Inventor and I have this issue, that whenever I set a dimension in a sketch, the sketch doesn't update to the new dimension until I move my mouse/cursor. Is this normal? Is there any way to change it so it updates as soon as I hit the enter button (after entering a dimension)

I'm using Photoshop cc and cursor changes to and is stuck on eraser. I tried resetting prefrences and no change. I restarted computer and it switch back to normal for awhile, then it changed again. I wasn't really doing anything except placing one photograph on top of another. It just switched automatically.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI’m getting a strange cursor when I use the Paint Bucket tool. Instead of the bucket with the pointy bit to show where you’re aiming, I get three tiny paint buckets in a horizontal line, looking a bit like a fragmented ruler, so it is impossible to see where the point of the paint bucket is. I have used CAPS LOCK to get the crosshairs but would refer the normal setting to be available too.
Â
I have shut down the PC and restarted with PS9 as the only app open but I still get this funny cursor. Some of the cursors from other tools are also affected, esp. when I left-click.Have I changed a setting by accident?
I have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to set a black layer mask and use the eraser tool to edit it. Unfortunately the eraser tool is not responsive. I recently did a round of software updates for CS6.Â
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, every time I draw, I'm not getting accuracy from within that circle, but it's like the paintbrush tip is on the top-left OUTSIDE side of the circle.

Using Photoshop CS6 Extended. Genius tablet.
how to edit it so that you don't have to select a specific brush for sensitivity? ALso, is there any way to make the brush sharper and cleaner? It just looks blurry.
I must have fat fingered something and I now when I click on the Eraser Tool or the Brush Mask Tool instead of getting a circle or square, I get and icon of the tool instead. Â They still work but they're harder to use without seeing the circle or square depending on what's selected. Â I've been using Corel for many years and never had this happen and I can't figure out how to switch back.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIM TRYING TO ERASE THE BACKGROUND OF A PHOTO I HAVE.
WHEN I USED THE BACKGROUND ERASER TOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME IT ERASED THE BACKGROUND TO WHITE OK .
NOW WHEN I USE IT IT ERASES TO A CHECK PATTERN COLOR.
MY QUSETION IS HOW DO I CHANGE THE COLOUR OF ERASER TOOL SO WHEN I ERASE SOME BACKGROUND IT GOES TO WHITE .
Is it possible to change the checkerboard that appears when using the eraser to something closer to the dominant background - I usually work with a white "canvas" and the checkerboard is very distracting.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the past, I've never had a problem with the eraser until today.
Â
Instead of erasing, it will use the second color that you can use with your brush. I'm not sure what it is called, but it where you can choose colors for your brushes. My brushes seem to work fine, so it is just the eraser brush.I've already uninstalled PSE9, reset PSE9 back to default settings, and reset all tools settings with no luck.
When I switch from 2D top view to an isometric view my cursor disappears. This is a completely new drawing file so maybe something is not set right.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt would be nice to have vba scale the thickness of the the eraser tool based on the current zoom setting. What i'm after is every time i click on the eraser tool, it will autosize to 2% of the current window size. So if im zoomed in really far and the current window has a wdith of 1 inch, the diamter of the eraser would change to 0.02 of af inch. Where as if I was zoomed out far and the current window had a width of 24 inches, the eraser thickness would default to 0.5 inches or something like that. The idea would be for the diameter of the erser to always be the same thicknes % of window size no matter what zoom level im at.
I can figure out how to get the current zoom level, and I know how to make this script run by altering the customization and setting this script's hot key to X. but im not sure if there is a function to change the thickness of the eraser. it doesnt seem to record when I attempt to record a macro.
I'm using a Wacom Intuos2 tablet with GIMP 2.6.12, and it works fine except as the subject says, the eraser works like a brush. In Photoshop, I don't recall exactly what it does, but I believe switching to the eraser (meaning flipping the pen over to the "eraser" side" switches from the foreground color to the background color, so that it effectively works like an eraser.
How can I do that, or something similar, in GIMP? I've searched everywhere and most of the posts have to do with getting the tablet recognized (check) and implementing pressure (check).
The eraser tool will only appear as small crosshairs no matter what I try.Â
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is a incosistent problem, in which I cannot determine why it's happening and it doesn't happen all the time. I often restart Lightroom and it is ok after that.
Â
In a small area of the screen the curser doesn't function. I cannot select an image or anything in that area while in the library module and when in the develop module brushes change back to the arrow icon and don't allow me to click in that area.
Â
This is my first time using Lightroom and am currently using version 4.3 that I downloaded from the Mac App store. I am running a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.8.2 Mountain lion.
For some reason, sometimes when working in Photoshop CS2 (PC platform) my paintbrush cursor changes. I have it set in preferences to show the brush size and it usually stays that way, but occassionally, it reverts to precise mode so I cannot see the brush size on the screen. The only thing that seems to work is closing PS and restarting it. What a pain.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought PSE 10.I have an Intuos 3 Wacom tablet and whenever I switch to the Eraser tool, in the brush preview icon (top left corner) I see this ~ type of a shape with narrow-pointy edges, indicating that the size-pen-pressure feature is on. This is always true, even when I switch off all the per-pressure options via the Brush tool.
Â
how to control or at-least disable the pen-pressure feature while in the Eraser tool?
I'm programming buttons in Edge Animate, which are just symbols with their own timeline. I've given them actions in click, mouseover and mouseout states. They just call URLs and work correctly, but I've noticed that the cursor doesn't turn into pointer (the hand pointing with the forefinger) in mouseover state. This creates a bit strange feeling, because users won't be sure that they are buttons before they click them...
View 2 Replies View RelatedSomehow, the little triangle that opens and closes the Quick Develop Module in my Library has become solid, so it no longer pops the menu open when I glide my cursor over to the right side of a full screen image. How do I get the Quick develop module triangle to have that shadow look again so that when I glide the cursor to it the module opens.
Â
I must have changed this with a keystroke or something but for the life of me I cannot get it back and it's driving me crazy. I do not like the module open all the time and it's a pain to use the keystroke or click the triangle each time I need to make a quick adjustment. I hope this is not an upgrade change. I notice it is the same in my develop module.
How do I change the cursor shape? I cannot change it from the cross hairs to the round tip. I have tried the settings under preferences but it does no good.
