Pops up a help page (usually several) in a browser. Seems to occur primarily when the fx (layer style) pane is open.
I created a web page using Photoshop slicing. How do I center the web page on the browser?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis same thing was happening in Photoshop CS3 and I could never figure out why. I figured that since CS4 was coming out, I would buy it, stop using CS3 and the problem would be solved, well it's not. So far, I'm happy with the new program but for some reason, out of nowhere, while working on a photo, the Photoshop Help window (which opens as a web browser window) will pop up for no reason! Today, it popped up over 6 or 7 times and I nearly had to crash the program to get it to stop. I figured this problem would have been solved with the new version since the same thing was happening in CS3 but it hasn't. I'm running a Windows XP-based machine that I built myself about 2 years ago. I have a 512mb ATI Raedon X1650 video card and have 4GB of RAM so this machine has far more than enough power to run the program. I updated my video and mouse drivers prior to installing the program.

The code fails at this point and I gett an error pointing to the line "Call oTargetNode.AddChild(oSourceNodeDef)". When I press F1 Inventor opens the help on my default browser (Chrome), but when I click the bynocular it uses Internet Explorer.
Is it possible to force Inventor to use a browser of my choice or the default browser?
I'm wondering if there's a way to turn off the nag dialog that pops up every time I use CS6 Liquify on XP.

I have to run CS6 on both my XP and W7 partitions - (some other apps I use are not W7 compatible, so having CS6 on XP sure saves a lot of dual booting).
I haven't found a way in the prefs to stop it appearing - I wish there was a "Don't Show Again" checkbox on it at least.
I usually use photoshop (cs6) in full screen mode with menu bar. Often I use the window+d shortcut to return to the desktop. From here, whatever window I open, ie my browser, explorer, etc, photoshop pops up in the background minus all the menu bars. This is very annoying because it means I cannot work with files on my desktop.

I have created a background for a flyer I am making, but would like to add text that takes on the design of the background. So imagine that the background is a piece of cloth, if you placed you hand under the cloth the cloth would take on the impression of the hand. So the text would be poppin' out at the viewer from what would look like underneath the background. Something similar to this. I have seen it on other flyers and was just wondering how it is done.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis has been occurring for a while, and is quite consistent, but I've never bothered to ask. When I select Find/From History/Imported On, a window pops up with "Delete Keyword Tags" and a progress bar which starts to move. I always immediately hit cancel, and then the "Select one or more groups you imported" window comes up, so I select the date and things work fine.

So what is going on with the "Delete Keyword Tags" window? I've not noticed any tags get deleted, but am I risking losing them if I didn't immediately hit cancel?
I want to "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings File", but at startup when I hold down [ctrl alt shift] I get the "scratch disc preferences" window instead. It was fine for a long while and this just started recently.

I have Windows and Photoshop CS5. The scratch disc preferences is on the first selection 'start up'.
I double click on <Set Layer style on current layer> and change to a new Layer Style for my Watermark Text. The <Contour> is Linear. The Actions panel turns red during editing.But when I run > Automate > Batch and select that edited Action, the <Layer Style> screen pops-up for each photo and the only way to finish the batch of photos is to click <OK> for each photo. I’m using Photoshop CS5. I have refresh Photoshop, restart my laptop but the problem remains.

I did another copy of the original Action and just changed the value in <Text Layer> and it works in the Batch processing. This problem only happens when I changed the value in the <Layer Style>.
When i want to go and fillet, match properties, copy or do anything to a line that I have drawn, I have a selection box that pops up. it asks me what line I want to do it on. My co-worker is running the same program and he doesn't have this dialog box pop up.

The attached images show that quickproperties is not checked, yet while selecting objects the quickproperties dialogue box will randomly appear against my desires (I am unable to continue selecting objects once quickproperties is displayed).

I only used the service for a render once with Revit Architecture 2013. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.
I have just installed Illustrator 9.0, running on Windows 7. The install was fine but when I try to launch the program I receive the following 2 errors:
1) "Pencil or smooth tool out of memory. Try editing at a smaller zoom magnification".I click OK because that's the only option. The next error window occurs with:
2) "The filter cannot complete because of an unknown error" Error: IMEM.I click ok again because that's the only option.
Then the program crashes and I have to exit.
I opened a document and it popped up a messages asking if I want to revert to the saved version YES or NO. This is weird because I didn't try to open the document twice. I suspect it is a macro that was causing this problem but I have many so it could take a while to locate the culprit. I also suspect a windows 7 update may have caused an interference with the macro.Â

Sometimes it will quit before the splash screen appears and sometimes a split second after it appears. No error messages or computer lag, it just simply quits. I'll list the steps I've taken so far. (Windows 7 64 bit)
Deleted the Cascadeinfo.cas file
I've had an error when my 3d connexion mouse trys to start so I uninstalled the drivers.
IT guy could open Inventor from his login on my computer but still not with mine.
Deleted Autodesk folder in the AppData folder and deleted the Cascadeinfo.cas again.
Did a "Repair" of Inventor.
Did a "Re-Install" of Inventor.
Nothing has worked yet and the only advice I'm finding is in regards to deleting the Cascadeinfo.cas file.
My thoughts are that the key to this problem is the fact that it works for other users on this machine. I just don't know what it is or how to fix it.
Just upgraded from 2010 to 2012. How do I turn off this new "accudraw" that pops up when drawing a line? And can I disable it permanently? (accudraw is the only thing I can equate it to).

Is there a way to remove the *Model* page setup entry from the list of Page Setups in the Page Setup Manager? This is the first time I am seeing *Model* in the list, and I suspect that it the reason I am not able to generate a PDF for this particular drawing. When I try, I get the following error:

I have this idea that removing *Model* from the list will do it. In addition to causing PDF creation failure, I believe it is also responsible for forcing the Model to always be in the Publish list, even though I have unchecked the "Include model when adding sheets" option. I can remove it from that list manually, but it comes back every time.
I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.

Several times a week I need to take a PDF (single-page doc), then convertto a page-sized PNG with quality good enough to read the text (and atransparent border), and then convert to a SWF. I have a PNG-to-SWFutility, but when I used it on the PNG saved after I opened my PDF andexported from GIMP, the end result was not good enough. A co-worker saidGIMP couldn't make a PNG (w/transparency) with enough quality. He said we'dhave to use some other software. Part of the issue was not being able toresize without losing quality before the PNG export. True or false?
