Using PS CS3, I opened a few JPG images taken with a Nikon D100 a few years ago. I copy/pasted one image on top of another, flattened it and saved as a PSD. Later on, when I double-click on the PSD, PS opens and I get a script alert: "Nikon Corp, Nikon D100, was used to shoot this file!"
The original JPEGs were of course shot with the D100, but the PSD certainly was not.
if I leave PS open, close the file and double-click it again, the same message does not appear. But if I close PS and then repeat the above, the message re-appears. Which leaves me with two questions:

I've a very strong virus auto alert message in my Autocad 2007 -2011, i try to re installed the product and clear the registry editor as well as change all the AutoCad version, i also try to scan with Kaspersky and Avast but none of them can catch the virus. Unfortunately the auto alert message still keep alert while i'm opening the autocad design file,
I am facing problem in my AutoCAD2013 (Ultimate version) -
1.While opening any file an alert message is appearing on the screen, for closing the same I Have to use ( X) close many times. 2 After opening the file every time I have to set the AUTOcad default setting once again, it is taking too much time,

The Actions Palette has several Insert options (Menu Item, Stop, Path) but not "Insert Conditionals" option. How do I activate the latter option which I thought came built in?
I am running Windows 7. I created an Action in Photoshop CS6 that includes placing a rectangle and a logo on the bottom right hand corner of my images and then centered in the middle of the rectangle is text of the event (Event name, Location, Date). After creating everything, I flatten the image, resize it down to a size reasonable for the web, then I save the image to a folder, close the document and click on the STOP button in the Actions panel. Â Afterwards, I go into File>Automate>Batch and choose the Action that I just created. In running the action, I notice that the text that I placed into the rectangle on my document is now scaling down to a considerably much smaller size than what I had it set to.
This has been an issue since at least CS4. If you add a script to your actions via "Insert Menu Iitem" (not sure if it's for all items or just scripts) and close Illustrator, those actions disappear. Apparently, in CS6, Adobe has completely ignored improving including scripts to Actions, which really makes automation powerful. As awesome as CS6 is, that part is pretty lame.
CTRL + A EDIT > TRANSFORM > FLIP HORIZONTAL CTRL + D
And save it as an Action called am_Flip_Horizontal.atn. Then how would I go about loading that action automatically each time PS boots and assigning a keyboard shortcut to it (say, CTRL + /) ?
I notice that some Actions are black, some are red. Some have a checkmarks and others have toggle icons. I think I have the concept down, but just not the how-to knowledge.
I am new to photoshop and I am trying to create a cd insert using grayscale pics. I want to put text over them and stuff like that, but I can't seem to figure this out. How do I size this so that it will for into a CD jewel case. I have templates so I know the dimensions but I cant see where to enter them.
I am using Photoshop CS5 on OSX 10.6.8. When I try to create a new file or copy and paste within an open file, I receive this error message: "This is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document. It cannot be opened." This does not occur when opening files, only when creating a new document or working within an open document. I have tried deleting preferences and resetting all warning messages but nothing has worked.
I created an AI action that will perform the following actions on an AI file. Save currently opened AI file.Export current AI file as JPG.Export current AI file as GIF.Export current AI file as PNG. After using this action, I realized there are some thing that need to be changed in order for it to be truly useful. First, I would like the JPG,GIF,and PNG to save to the same directory that the currently opened AI file is in. For example, if I open an AI file that is located at C:/images/image1.ai and run my image export action, the JPG,GIF, and PNG should save to that same directory (C:/images/). In a nutshell, I want to make this path dynamic but when I create the action it forces me to specifiy a specific location.  This becomes a problem when I try to send this Action Set to other memebers on my team. If they load the action set into Illustrator, it doesn't work properly because the save location is hard coded in the action.
My ability to share photos using attach to e-mail has stopped working. I get an error message: Organizer could not finish creating e-mail message. Make sure Microsoft is selected as the default program in Windows INternet Control panel. Additionally, I'm upable to check for updates. I get an error message something like "the server is not available..."
When I start the Open Image process in the Windows version of GIMP and move to a directory and select an image file, I get the message "Creating Preview", which briefly changes to "Preview is out of date". This takes a long tim and may never end, depending on the directory and file I choose. What is going on? Is GIMP creating a preview image of every graphic file in the directory? If so, can I set a low resolution somewhere in the program to reduce the time spent doing this. In some cases I can't see the image after I open the file, but that may be a different problem (feature?) of the program.
When I select Create DVD in X4, I get a pop-up dialog that allows me to insert my files into the "timeline" for creating the DVD. I can Add, I can change the DVD type, but I don't know how to continue. The Next button is grayed out, the tab for setup 2 is also grayed out, and there is no way for me to figure out What to do to create the menu and continue.
I worked with about 70 blocks that I routinely insert in drawings, at present I have an area where I keep all them in every drawing. I would like to have a bar that will contain the blocks where I can drag and drop them into place.
I'm new to .net for autocad, but very familiar with c#. I studied some samples about creating a block from c#. I have a form for some basic input. When the user presses OK the code checks if the blockname is already in use. The code runs successfully (meaning i don't get any errors), but when I want to insert the block it isn't in the list of blocks.
I've just installed the Kerio firewall that also alerts when one application starts another application. When I start PS, the firewall tells me PS is trying to start rundll32.
I'm having trouble with the alert windows that should be popping up. The problem is that I can't see them on my desktop. For example, I click on file>new and then a box should pop up but I can't see it. If I press enter it creates the new image but if I click in the photoshop window then it won't let me do anything else because the other window above it is still open.
I downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and that’s when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).
Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.
I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit “load actions” and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking “why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) “Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost”.
I have searched for the settings folder and couldn’t find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just don’t run.
I’m a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.
one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.
I'm a seasoned Photoshop/Bridge CS5 user who recently upgraded to CS6. I'm operating on windows 7 64 bit. In Bridge I just ran my first Image Processor batch, trying to convert a set of RAW .NEF files to .PSD files with a basic editing action I created applied to them. Photoshop CS6 opens the files from Bridge and applies the actions,
but then I get the "Script alert" error message "Sorry I could not process the following files" and a list of all of the files in the batch I was trying to run the script on. The files all remain open and are saved on my hard drive in a folder created by the Image Processor script, but do not close unless I manually close them. I never had this problem in CS5 where the image processor would apply the desired actions to the batch of photos one at a time, then save and close.Â
I just switched from the GIMP and I am not accustomed to some of the ways in Photoshop. I wanted to ask how to change a layers size only. I don't want to change my whole images size, I just want a part of the image changed. I've been using Image - Image Size to do this,
it's my job to create drawings for patent applications, and These drawings usually consist of multiple pages with one or more drawings on each page. Each of these drawings has to be given it's own unique identifier (for example Fig. 1, Fig.2 etc).
In the process of designing a complete patent application it is often necessary to change the order of figures around and/or add new ones, remove old ones and so on. Now we get to the macro part.
What I need is a macro that identifies an artistic text placeholder (let's say <figures>) and replaces it with a text that says "Fig. x", x being counted upwards starting from 1. In essence I need the macro to count how many times it has already replaced <figures>, and insert the correct number. After the macro has done it's work I want every placeholder replaced with "Fig.1" or "Fig. 2".
My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.
working with acad 2012 and not having good luck with links and functionality with excel. tried the links manager,pasting excel/entities. trying to insert separate files in model space in essence creating multiple cut lists for the drawing. Is there a tutorial that goes in depth with this? just froze one file at work, lucked out and opened at home. Each cut list is an individual worksheet, which may be the problem.
Everytime I open a document in Photoshop CS5, these 2 dialog boxes (Image Size, Script Alert) would pop up. to cancel 2 times to start editing. Is there a setting I can disable this?
I am trying to close alert at once but the loop continues the alert, how can I stop the alert at once
