There is new feature mentioned in CC specs:
NEW Color import from web files. Import color swatches directly from HTML, CSS, or SVG files — for inspiration, or to easily match the color schemes of existing web content.
Where is it placed? I was unable to find something similar in menus/toolbars/palletts.
I am an archaeologist working with survey equipment and Map3D for a few years but now I have the following problem.
When I import the shapefiles created in my leica/topcon equipment into Map3D (mapimport) there is the possibility to select which attributes are going to be imported with an import profile file (.ipf).
How do I create the above and save it so that I do not have to go through the same process again?
I got over 160 color corrected RAW files from my photographer when I thought I was getting TIf or PSD files. I need to put them into an in design doc to send out for printing. Is there a way to convert all of these in one fell swoop without messing up the work that has already been done?
I didn't allow in my timing to save each one individually since i didn't know I was going to need to do this. I am really unfamiliar with batch processing, so how to best go about this, or if I even can. I am working in Photoshop CS6. version 13.06 x 64.
I am attempting to create a BMP with the same color palette as Starcraft sprite images.
The tutorial I've found regarding creating Starcraft bmps mentions saving it as 8-bit, indexed color BMPs with compressed RLE, but it doesn't mention how to extract the palette from a Starcraft image and load it into Photoshop.
I am currently using a Nikon D7100 and recording my photos in the Raw/NEF-RAW format. Recently, whenever I am uploading my photos to Lightroom 5, my photos are changing to .dng files rather than staying in the NEF file. When I go and look back at my previous imports from the past few times, they are in NEF and NOT in .dng. Why is this doing this and how do I turn this feature off so that my files remain the same going from my camera to my computer through importation.

View 16 Replies View RelatedUsing Win7 64-bit O/S. My usual procedure from LR4 after editing is to export to Elements 9 catalog using the Cntl-Shift-E commmand. I rename the file as it suits me then export to my hard drive location by pressing "Export". I then go to PSE and get the message "New files have been found. Do you want to import?" Clicking yes adds the file to my Library. After installing LR5, I can't import edited files from LR5 OR Photoshop (CS5).
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs part of my workflow I import through Lightroom, then edit into Photoshop. This creates file 1 & 2 of 2 in my Lightroom. After editing all of the selected pictures into PSD files I routinely provide clients with smaller JPG's. I do this by opening the PSD flattening, shrinking, sharpening and "save as" into JPG's.
This does not create a third file in Lightroom and when I go to import the new JPG's Lightroom does not see them. I can open a Finder window ( I use a MAC) and see the files, but cannot get Lightroom to see them to import, then export to other media.
When I try to import photos from a camera or files I get this message The ODBC data source reported the following error: (internal error;data not found)
Why am I getting the error message and is there another way to import?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I place my CF card into the reader PSE opens and displays all the photos on the card the problem is they are out of order. I take volleyball photos and use the burst often The files are numbered properly by the camera but PSE seems to get them mixed up. When I import and renamer them PSE thakes them in the order they are shown and they are then renumbered out of order causind many shots to be out of order. I have never had this problem before. I have been using PSE 6 up thru 10 now and this is the first time I have had this happen. Last season I wasusing PSE9 and all my bursts sequences are in purfect order.
