Photoshop :: AVI Files Won't Import On CS3?
Jul 11, 2012They just show up as white frames when I try and import them and I don't know why that is. I have a vista home premium laptop, not a mac, fyi.

May 27, 2013I am an archaeologist working with survey equipment and Map3D for a few years but now I have the following problem.
When I import the shapefiles created in my leica/topcon equipment into Map3D (mapimport) there is the possibility to select which attributes are going to be imported with an import profile file (.ipf).
How do I create the above and save it so that I do not have to go through the same process again?
Lightroom :: Keeps Changing NEF-RAW Files To DNG Files Upon Import
Jul 31, 2013I am currently using a Nikon D7100 and recording my photos in the Raw/NEF-RAW format. Recently, whenever I am uploading my photos to Lightroom 5, my photos are changing to .dng files rather than staying in the NEF file. When I go and look back at my previous imports from the past few times, they are in NEF and NOT in .dng. Why is this doing this and how do I turn this feature off so that my files remain the same going from my camera to my computer through importation.

Apr 2, 2013Is there an import plugin to read .emf files directly into PS CS6X on PC? I have very large that I'd like to rasterize in PS. Now what I have to do is load to MSPaint and output as .bmp but have no control of the dpi so output is not as good as it could be.
I have older version of Illustrator and will not import the .emf files.

Feb 7, 2011I have tried literally everything but I'm really lost right now. Photoshop won't import mp4 or any other file, it only accepts avi container files. It's a pain to convert every single file to avi if I want to use Import > Video frames to layers.
I have already installed Quicktime Pro but that doesn't seem to work.

I also know it can deal with Vector files - as in the 'shape' tool (.CSH format)
How can I easily get my catalogue into the shape tool? ie convert .eps to .csh?
The import is far to unwieldy as I can't even browse my library of eps files...

Jun 18, 2013Using Win7 64-bit O/S. My usual procedure from LR4 after editing is to export to Elements 9 catalog using the Cntl-Shift-E commmand. I rename the file as it suits me then export to my hard drive location by pressing "Export". I then go to PSE and get the message "New files have been found. Do you want to import?" Clicking yes adds the file to my Library. After installing LR5, I can't import edited files from LR5 OR Photoshop (CS5).

Jan 1, 2013As part of my workflow I import through Lightroom, then edit into Photoshop. This creates file 1 & 2 of 2 in my Lightroom. After editing all of the selected pictures into PSD files I routinely provide clients with smaller JPG's. I do this by opening the PSD flattening, shrinking, sharpening and "save as" into JPG's.
This does not create a third file in Lightroom and when I go to import the new JPG's Lightroom does not see them. I can open a Finder window ( I use a MAC) and see the files, but cannot get Lightroom to see them to import, then export to other media.

Sep 14, 2012When I place my CF card into the reader PSE opens and displays all the photos on the card the problem is they are out of order. I take volleyball photos and use the burst often The files are numbered properly by the camera but PSE seems to get them mixed up. When I import and renamer them PSE thakes them in the order they are shown and they are then renumbered out of order causind many shots to be out of order. I have never had this problem before. I have been using PSE 6 up thru 10 now and this is the first time I have had this happen. Last season I wasusing PSE9 and all my bursts sequences are in purfect order.

Each time I try to import, it goes through some number of photos, up through 2,00 plus sometimes and then says import failed and I get nothing. Jun 22, 2012I am creating a series of music worksheets on photoshop. I have created some music scores in a music writing software called Sibelius 7. It has the capability to export the sheet music graphics in the following forms: .pdf, .eps, .bmp, .tiff, .png, .svg .
However, I have tried to 'place' each of them into my photoshop file to see which one will work.
But on saving the photoshop document as a .pdf with any of the graphics formats, the vector quality of the image has been lost, as it pixelates on zooming in. I have also tried to import an .svg file into adobe illustrator to save it as an .ai file and then import that into photoshop, but the image is again pixelated.
I don't really know what is happening, as I am essentially trying to import a file that is a vector (or at least does not pixelate on zooming) into photoshop, hoping for the same qualities to be retained, but it is being lost for some reason.
What should I do?

Oct 29, 2012For some reason, suddenly when I import video frames to layers, it is now set as Quicktime files that can only be opened (AVI,MPEG etc) and won't pick up MMV files at all. I used to make a lot of gifs fine with WMV files (thats the only format Photoshop PS5 would let me open for years), now it is set up as Quicktime files all of a sudden. It only opens AVI files as well, other video formats pop up with blank screens and then go transparent. Is there any way I can fix this? I'd like to be able to make gifs with WMV files again.
Is there some way you can open MP4 files onto Photoshop CS5 as well? Converting Youtube vids to WMV is quite a process.
