Elements 11 and Camera RAW 7.3 update loaded. Still can't import Nikon D600 files. What now? Operating system is Windows 7 and I have just upgraded from Elements 9.
View 2 RepliesHow can I find out what version of Camera RAW my PSE10 is currently using and how can I get an edition which will support this. Strangely enough I also have Lightroom 4.3 on same PC and it does import NEF from D600, but I want to be able to bring them directly into PSE10 as well.
PS - My PC is a Windows 7 64 bit operating system

View 2 Replies View RelatedElements 11 won't upload raw files from a Nikon D600, I've read the various comments ref Camera Raw Plugins and I've downloaded DNG 7.3 but don't know where to put it. Is DNG 7.3 the same as Camera Raw Plugin 7.3? I have read also that maybe Elements 11 doesn't support 7.3 so may need to use 7.2.

On revisiting those files now that I have PSE11 (which works well with D800 files) PSE11 doesn't seem to recognize and when I go into the Editor and try to open one from there I get the following message: I had thought that PSE11 would work with the D600 NEF files - is this not the case?
Will any update allow PSE 10 to open D600 NEF files?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a fairly large number of photos with face tag metadata. Since Adobe is part of the working group that developed the XMP metadata standard, imagine my surprise to find out that Photoshop Elements 11 doesn't use it!
Is there any external program to import face tag metadata into the organizer? I used Windows Photo Gallery to do the face tagging and it properly writes the metadata to the XMP fields. Problem is the photoshop organizer doesn't read the XMP fields! It's using it's own standard(?)
We are talking thousands of photos here so re-tagging is just not an option. Is there a way to get photoshop to import the tags and regions?

They can be read by Picasa and Windows Explorer. They can print to my printer. Tried to import two of the missing 731 but got same message. Should I just stay with Picasa as my Organizer?

But I'm missing two options in this tool. The first is to make sub-folders with the capture-date without spaces between the date (spaces are still problems for some programs). The second option is a second location where the data is copied for backup. Is there a possibility to do this two options with the program or can you make an update in the future that include this two options.

I've looked at the image properties and they look fine (just as fine as images that are able to be imported). Is there anything that can be done? I'm trying to move off of Picasa and these images have been imported just fine into Picasa.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust downloaded and started using PSE 12 Editor and Organizer about a week ago. (An upgrade fron PSE11). Today for whatever reason, when trying to import any file, say from my desktop or a download foler, the list of locations to import appears for a second, then disappears. I am unable to do any other action and have to quit or force quit. In PSE Editor, I am able to open a file, but when trying to save it, I get an error that "Could not complete your request due to a Program Error". I use a Mac and just recently upgraded to OS Maverick. I also tried using PSE 11 and run into the same problem.
