Photoshop Elements :: Import Iphoto Into 11 Organizer?
Aug 30, 2013
i,m about to import photos from iphoto into elements 11 organizer. there is an option to have organizer convert events from iphoto into albums, is there an advantage to doing this, if i don't choose that option will it make adifference.
Organiser has imported phtots and movies from files but always sticks at 82% import from iPhoto. It copies photos to the Adobe folder but sticks when importing to the Organiser program?
How do I import my iPhoto events into Elements 11 Organizer and keep the events separate. They are all named and I want all the information to remain with the event.
I am using adobe elememts 11 on my MAC. Do I need to import my photos from iphoto to the adobe organizer? If not I am having trouble figuring out how to get my photos from Iphoto to use in adobe-.
I downloaded a trial version of Elements 12. I used Elements 6 a few years ago on a PC, now I have a MAC and there's a lot of difference between version 6 and 12. I downloaded all of my I-photo files into the Organizer but would like to delete them now that I realize they are all jumbled up and basically useless. There are 5,000 photos & several hundred folders. I can't figure out how to select multiple folders to delete them from the organizer.
I am a new Mac user - recently insalled Photoshop elements 9 and tried to import my photos which are all in iPhoto at the moment into the organiser. I went via the 'Get files > import from iPhoto' menu and I keep getting a messsage tab saying 'no suitable media'.
I clicked the share in iPhoto and also tried via the getting files directly route (you only get the 'iPhoto library' that way not the individual files - any combo of clicking wont seem to let me see the files there).
I am just starting to use Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer. I do not want to import my entire iPhoto library however, so how can I import ONLY ONE or a select group of events or albums?
I have PSE 10 on my MAC. I normally download my photos onto iPhoto (and a while ago, onto Bridge CS3 which came with an earlier version of PSE) but more recently have become interested in using the PSE Organizer for my photo library. I have started to transfer/copy the photos from iPhoto but, having read various topics on organizing photos, am a little worried that by having the photos in 2/3 places on the MAC I will use much more hard-disk space. I know that the original files for iPhoto are in the 'Library' so that I just see thumbnails on iPhoto ( I may be wrong here?), but will the photos I now have on Organizer be working off those same 'Library' originals or am I doubling up on the space required to store these photos?
I receive an "Import failed" message when trying to import my iPhoto library to my trial version of PE11. I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 and using iPhoto 11. I have tried 4 or 5 times now with the same result.
I've got Photoshop Elements 6 on my iMac desktop running OS X 10.7.4. When I click on File>Open in PE6, my iMac Finder opens. I then select Photos and all my iPhoto and Photo Booth files open. But I cannot click on (well, I can click on them but nothing happens) any photo to pull it into PE6. It seems a simple operation, but apparently not for me!
I spent a long time assigning keywords to all 11,000 photos in Iphoto. When I imported the photos to Elements 10, the keywords were lost. Is there any way to transfer them?
Is there a way to only import a few photos from iphoto in Elements 11? When I use get photos from iphoto, Elements seems to want to import the entire catalog.
I want to import into the organizer just the most recent iPhoto ppictures. The problem is every time I want to import from iPhoto the system wants to import thousands of photos which I do not need. All I want are the last half-dozen or so shots that I took that's all.
I have been trying to import jpgs from my pc into the organizer. I have met with some success but cannot figure out why it will import some jpgs and not others?
I have a fairly large number of photos with face tag metadata. Since Adobe is part of the working group that developed the XMP metadata standard, imagine my surprise to find out that Photoshop Elements 11 doesn't use it!
Is there any external program to import face tag metadata into the organizer? I used Windows Photo Gallery to do the face tagging and it properly writes the metadata to the XMP fields. Problem is the photoshop organizer doesn't read the XMP fields! It's using it's own standard(?)
We are talking thousands of photos here so re-tagging is just not an option. Is there a way to get photoshop to import the tags and regions?
Imported my 25,000+ photos, all jpegs, into Organizer. 731 were listed as not imported because they were in a format PS11 did not recognise. Checked out a few of them. They can be read by Picasa and Windows Explorer. They can print to my printer. Tried to import two of the missing 731 but got same message. Should I just stay with Picasa as my Organizer?
Why can't I "import media" to organizer from a folder by right clicking the folder placed on a second hard disk in the computer. "Import Media" is dimmed.
Photoshop Elements 9 organizer...when I try to "save as" a .jpg file from editor to the organizer, I keep getting an error "Import Failed" file not supported or file already in organizer...been using this software for a long time..just started to happen...now it says this everytime I try to save anything..it will not let me put it in the organizer at all. What happened?
I'm using Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11. Both program are using one organizer and I would like to import my videos and photos with this tool. But I'm missing two options in this tool. The first is to make sub-folders with the capture-date without spaces between the date (spaces are still problems for some programs). The second option is a second location where the data is copied for backup. Is there a possibility to do this two options with the program or can you make an update in the future that include this two options.
