I am attempting to create a BMP with the same color palette as Starcraft sprite images.
The tutorial I've found regarding creating Starcraft bmps mentions saving it as 8-bit, indexed color BMPs with compressed RLE, but it doesn't mention how to extract the palette from a Starcraft image and load it into Photoshop.
i want to save the palette and use it with another picture to have the same color-palette on two different images.
The "match color" tool comes close to the result i want to have...but it works with the contrast too and adds colors that i don't want..I JUST want to work with the available colors... simply extract a color palette from an image and use it with a second one to get them match...(without adding something)
I found some tools to do this with 256 color images but I want to to this with my 8bit or 16bit files from my camera.
I think it's a simple answer but I can't find it....I hope someone can help me....
I have done several searches (using Google site search, "standard" Google search, and the search here) and haven't found the answer to this, but it seems I wouldn't be the first person to bring this up. Is there a plugin that allows you to convert ACO palettes for use in Paint.NET?
I could D/L an .ACO file of all Sherwin William paint colors. I've loooked on their site but i can't find them, maybe I'm over looking something, but Benjamin Moore has D/Ls' for both autoCAD and Photoshop of all their paints so I would hope that Sherwin williams would to. I figured I'd ask and see if anyone knew of a site that housed custom palettes, specifically of certain paint vendors.
My place of buisness uses Benjamin and Sherwin paints exclusively for our buildings and I was hoping to take photos of the building and change the exterior paint colors to match paints selected from these two vendors.
Any way to change one whole color palette to another color palette without having to go change each individual color. What i have is a color chart set up with one color palettes colors set up, and i need to change this whole chart over to another color palette. I have read where you can go in and use the replace wizard for color model or palette, but when i go to choose the palette to replace it already has a set selection of palettes to choose from. How to choose other palettes from my computer.
I was trying to get white on my open color pallets and inadvertently messed them up and got something named "defrgb.xml" with a blank box and now I can't get any color pallets to come up. I have even uninstalled and re-installed to no avail. How do I get this situation back to normal?
my corel crashing every time I try to select the color palette menu in the window dropdown, try to change the palette in the solid fill color window, and also in the outline color window. I have tried changing the color preset, reinstalling, resetting to defaults, am updated to the newest version (15.2.0.686), installing the hot fixes, blah, blah blah....... everything.
NEW Color import from web files. Import color swatches directly from HTML, CSS, or SVG files — for inspiration, or to easily match the color schemes of existing web content.
Where is it placed? I was unable to find something similar in menus/toolbars/palletts.
In CS4 the image covers pallets I wish to use. I need to either move the image or make it smaller to get to the pallets that are open. Is there any way to have the pallets on top of the image? I am thinking that this is a change from CS3,
I am using Photoshop CS4 and I just upgraded to Mavericks. When I opened PS I discovered that all the palettes that normally reside on a second monitor are now all on the same monitor with my PS document and I can’t drag them to the second monitor. It seems that PS does not recognize there is a second monitor there. I can drag documents and palettes from other applications onto this monitor so it appears to be only a PS issue.
whenever I'm doing certain things in CS2 now all of my palettes are temporarily disappearing. I can bring them back by clicking anywhere in the blank workspace, but I'm not sure what's caused this. As the most simple example, I can reset all palettes to their default positions and reset to the default workspace. I then open an image, go to levels adjustment, cancel whatever change I might make, and all of the palettes disappear. Also, all of my palettes are floating within the main CS2 window. That is, if I want to move the whole PS2 window around my monitor, I'm having to deal with each palette and main menu separately. I'll bet all of this is a simple thing to reset, but I haven't found what's going on yet.
Is there a way to have CorelDRAW automatically convert imported objects to the document color space?
In "Tools > Color Management > Default Settings..." I have "Import and paste:" settings all set to "Convert to document color profile". Yet if I have a CMYK document, when I import an RGB JPEG, it will remain RGB.
Is there some other setting that will accomplish this? I'm constantly ending up with elements in both color spaces.
I have a problem when I import SAT file of a 3D model came from Revit architecture to Inventor. All colors disappear..I have already succeeded the exchange from Inventor to Revit with adsk file and rfd file format.
But, the exchange from Revit to Inventor is really hard for me.. I could just get gray colored geometry of model.Do you know any way to exchange with color?
I use two monitors, one for my canvus and the other for all my palettes. Which means my palettes are outside the application frame. With this setup, my mouse is very "jerky" when rolling over the layers palette, or others (takes a few sconds to notice). But once I move the palettes within the application frame the mouse is very smooth.I am able to produce this on two Macs.
My setup is: MacBook Pro 10.8.2 16 GB of ram AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB graphics
I was wondering about custom color swatch formats. Specifically in an ancient version of Photoshop (like 3.5) in addition to the preset swatches, there used to be a blank "scratch pad" type palette feature where you could put colors and smoosh them around just like a real artists palette then pick colors from there....is there anyway to do this in Photoshop 7 without creating a separated doc? Also, you used to be able to create a swatch palette based on the colors in a given image by going to mode>indexed color ....that doesn't seem to be working for me...
When I open or import a DWG into CorelDraw X6 it changes the colors (see image).
I tried changing the Color Management Settings to Minimal Color Management which is suppose to preserve the original color when opening, importing, and pasting, but that doesn't work.
I have found a thread about exporting and/or publishing an edl to import into Resolve for color-grading and then back to conform in Smoke for output. Is there a detailed video on the Smoke Learning Channel yet.
Everywhere else the GIFs view as intended but when I import to GIMP some of the GIFs change color. Are GIF animations limited in the colors that can be displayed compared to normal (non-animated) GIFs?
A test animation is attatched, but many of the colors are wrong often the colors are changed to white by gimp.
How can this possibly happen? The section Apply During Import in the import dialog screen has a field for Develop Settings, but this field says None, so nothing should happen to the photos during import. So why do the display in B&W in Library?
When I export jpegs which I changed to "black & white" in LR 4.4, and import these exported photos into a different LR 4.4 catalog, the treatment of the imported photos changes to "color".
I know when CS5 first came out even the standard modal windows for Levels, Curves etc. were housed in a Palette and that blew my mind with hatred. It seems they've fixed that but are still limiting Adjustment Layers to the same Palette fate.
Is there any way on earth to switch back to the standard modal type window for Adjustment Layers? Forcing us to use them in a Palette window makes me want to go get a root canal. I've had CS5 for over a year and simply cannot use it due to this and some other issues.
Is there a way for moving all my open palettes with the Photoshop main window from one screen to another in a single go? It seems a bit awkward that when moving my Photoshop window from screen 1 to screen 2 I have to move every single palette one at a time? And if i save a custom work space and load it when my Photoshop is on my second screen it still places the palettes as they were saved on screen 1 instead of relative to where my Photoshop window is placed.
Is there a fix for modal dialogs open behind palettes in Photoshop cs6 13.0 (creative cloud update) + OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard on MacBook Pro? ( I am using 2 monitors where the second monitor is set to be the menu display. cs4 does not exhibit this bug. )
Toggling the Application Frame off improves the hiding 'feature' but this does not include the desired continuous floating in front of palettes in all circumstances.
An example is Blending Options, then chose Stroke, then chose the Color Picker. After clicking OK, the Blending Options dialog now sits behind the palettes. One trick is to click on another app, then back to cs6 to force a window redraw.
