I have a new Dell XPS15 laptop with Windows 8. Installed Photoshop CS6 & all tool bars and menus are too tiny. I've contacted Dell Support and Adobe Support and everyone blames other.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI finally cleared enough space on my creaky old PC to install 2013 and once again am having trouble with that CUI.
The ribbon is useless to me, partly because it contains nothing relevent (most of the commands I use are legacy) and partly because this creaky PC can't handle it. My usual workspace is set to toolbars (some custom) and menus.
I exported my workspace from 2012 including all the menus and toolbars.
I imported that cuix file into 2013. Everything is there listed as it should be, but when I select the workspace and click apply I have neither toolbars nor menus showing (well I have a tiny toolbar with just new, open and save on it, and another that appears to be related to survey, but none of the ones I want or need.)
What do I have to do to get my menus and toolbars back? they haven't abolished them completely? This PC cannot handle the ribbon and my every request for an upgrade is denied due to politics.
I loaded a partial customization file by CUI dialog. I would like to programmatically hide / show the menus and toolbars, so when you restart AutoCAD to be permanently hidden or visible.

I had copied all content of this folder to restore after have formatted my computer. But menus and toolbars weren't restored when I replace all the content of this folder.
So, I lost all my customizations. Where they are storage? What should be the folder to be backed up in order to recovery menus and toolbars customizations in new PSP installs?
The little windows (colors, tools, etc.) can be EXTREMELY annoying, as they are always blocking some part of the image or another. I think it would be great to have an option to make them into toolbars on the side or top of the image... something for 4.0 perhaps?

I have by chance got PS to auto hide & show the toolbars and I have now lost it again.
as the toolbars are out of sight and only visible when I need it.
I processing fairly large groups of images, and would like to be able to add a button to access common functions (or better yet, sequence of functions)
I do this with keyboard shortcuts now, but I'm ending up losing access to other functions (PS dibs on has all the good keys, and can't map to the others)
I could also remove half of my current need by overriding the Pixel Correction default behaviour, though I'm given to understand there is no way to do this.
I'm running Design Suite Ultimate 2012, windows 7 64bit, I can launch IV 2012, but I can't seem to see my tool bars...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am wanting to save all of my menus, toolbars, templates etc. so I can put them on my new computer. I am using autocad LT 2010. I have looked everywhere for the files on my C drive and can't find them anywhere. On other versions I could copy them to a flash drive and then onto another computer. I tried going through the user interface but I couldn't get anything to save. It did make a .cui file but I didn't know where to copy that to on the new computer.

When I try to menuload a .cuix on a machine that has UAC set to high, The menu group comes in, but the toolbars associated with it do not. I know this sounds like AutoCAD support but it is .net related as the .cuix is loaded through .net. The pull down appears OK.
If I manually set UAC to it's lowest setting then they come in, is there a reason for this?[URL]

In my graph editor, I am trying to use the soft-selection tool, but my curser shows the "move window" icon when I roll over the 'soft' button. I can't click it...and I realized it does this with alot of toolbars. I can't use these tools at all.
After some trouble shooting, I realized that by turning off Desktop Composition in my windows performance settings, I solve the problem.
So I am happy to turn desktop composition off when I use Max, but the switch "disable desktop composition" in my Max shortcut seems to do nothing at all.
I need to add toolbars in 2d annotation ???

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a dual monitor setup and I maximize acad2011 on monitor 2 and have my toolbars on monitor 1.
I like to have my toolbars floating, but justified to the side with the 'gap' between the montiors so the tool bars fly out and I can see my email or reference docs or whatever on monitor 1 also. Sadly every time I close and re-open acad my toolbars re-justify to the center of monitor 1. I've tried unlocking and locking but that doesn't work. I am using the 'better', errr, excuse me, 'classic' workspace.
I made some toolpallets and i want them to share with my collegas. I know that i can export them amd then import manualy, but is it possible to set the files of the toolbars on the server so if i change anything everybody has the same?
I dont want to import and export them everytime i change something.
I have the Layer Property Manager and Properties toolbars docked on the left edge of my screen, with the Ribbon vertically between them and the drawing display. I sometimes 'overshoot' when going for a command from the ribbon and the toolbars pop-up immediately so that I then have to move the cursor back into the drawing space and wait for the toolbar to collapse before I can pick the command (more carefully). Is there a way of setting a delay on the tool bars appearing?

For years we've had a line type change toolbar that worked just fine. This years update may have changed something that the old macro is missing or doesn't need anymore because none of the commands work anymore. One of the macros reads:

A copy whichever version of Xtreme was the last one before the flyout buttons, copy of the default toolbars?
I've used Xtreme Pro v6 since it was released with just the pointless 3D and Live Effect buttons removed from the toolbar, and always mean to get round to putting the other buttons back as they were but always seem to be too busy. I particularly dislike the gallery flyout buttons and can never find the bitmap and name gallery without spending 10 seconds or so looking for it.
Installing Xtreme Pro v7 is the prompt I needed to get the toolbars sorted out once and for all. I'm sure I can work more quickly if the buttons are where I'm used to, but just as with the keyboard I can type very quickly so instinctively know where the keys are, but couldn't write the keys in order if my life depended on it!
I have just updated to 2013 LT. I want to customize my toolbars to match my old set up but once I've spent ages moving tools to new folders and arranging them how I like it, I close Autocad then open it again and it reverts back to default so all that time editing folders etc is wasted!!
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have the Cardinal Toolbar and the Layer Properties Toolbar (one that allows you to toggle between layer groups ... for example floor levels) installed on our AutoCAD LT 2006 software for a PC. We are looking to purchase AutoCAD LT 2013 for a MAC. We have downloaded the trial version, and cannot find these toolbars on the new version. Our files are set-up to function with these toolbars. Is there any way to download these toolbars for the new version? If not, are there commands we can use to change the cardinal direction in model space and to toggle between floor level layers (groups?)?
