Photoshop :: CS4 Extended Keeps Crashing
May 7, 20095-10 minutes after I start working in cs4 it crahes giving this message:The instruction at “0x696355eb” referenced memory at “0x00000068”. The memory could not be “read”.and gives me the option to terminate or debug. Debugging freezes everything up. I have resorted to using cs3 because of this.

May 11, 2012Mac Pro; Mac OS 10.7.3; 16GB ram; ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB..Just installed CS6 Extended a couple of days ago, after deinstalling the beta and verifying permissions.
I seem to be crashing a lot - I'd say half a dozen times over the past day or so. I make a path (e.g. a simple rectangle), 3D layer from that path, then start to work with extrusion and revolving the extrusion. All of a sudden, the object will disappear from view, though its representation still appears on the layer thumbnail. I'll click different layers, trying to get the object back, then the program crashes. I've sent all the reports to Adobe.
The beta rarely crashed on me at all; but this release seems very unstable. I'm not able to get anything done in the 3D module without eventually crashing per the above.
Photoshop :: CS6 Extended Crashing When Using Oil Paint Filter
May 14, 2013I replaced a standard hard drive with a new SSD drive and did a fresh install of Windows 7 and all of my programs. I made sure all Win 7 updates, program updates and drivers are current. The good news is Photoshop CS6 Extended loads much faster. The bad news is now Photoshop crashes when I attempt to use the Oil Paint filter. The only hardware change is the new SSD, I haven't changed any video devices and I never had any issues running the Oil Paint filter before I swapped out hard drives and did the software reinstallations. I've tried the OpenGL Drawing Mode in basic, normal and advanced, and still get crashes when attempting to use oil paint.

Photoshop :: CS5 Extended (Mac) Suddenly Crashing Upon File Open?
Apr 6, 2012I purchased CS5.5 extended about 3 weeks ago and all was working fine. Just yesterday Photoshop started crashing whenever I try to open files. I've deleted preferences several times, validated my fonts, restarted my Mac, etc. all to no avail. Photoshop has become useless to me and it's part of how I make my living. InDesign seems to work OK but I haven't tried Illustrator yet.

Photoshop :: Extended CS5 To Extended CS6 Cloud Install - How To Migrate Plugins
Aug 30, 2012Currently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly.
I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL.
I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions.
So, what are my options?
Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6?
I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.

I was using Photoshop CS2 9.0 in OX 10.5.8 .I did a disk repair,I took Photoshop off and reinstalled a few times.Upgraded to 9.1 and now 9.0.2

Dec 4, 2007I am currently using Photoshop CS on an Apple 1GB G5 20in iMac.
There?s still plenty of RAM space available but when using it, Photoshop keeps unexpectedly quitting.
I have tried someone?s suggestion of disabling the TWAIN plug-in but to no avail.
I?ve also uninstalled and reinstalled the application but the same thing happens.

Oct 10, 2012A client is running CS5. When we run an Action in Photoshop, either directly or through a Batch process, the name of the file changes to an old file name that actually existing in the file structure. It doesn't matter which file we start with, the name changes to this other name during the action. I've checked all the steps of the action to be certain there isn't a Save As command presenet. This has started happening with the past month. The Action has been in use for over a year.

I create the color with the values C=0, M=100, Y=100, K=10 and add it to my color swatches. Then I select the section of the image where I want to apply the new color and fill it with the paint bucket. The color fills the section just fine and life is good. But then when I roll over the section with the eyedropper to double-check the CMYK values in the Info window, it shows that they've inexplicably shifted to C=9, M=100, Y=100, K=1.

Photoshop Elements :: Create Catalog In New PC / When Old PC Crashed Unexpectedly
Dec 20, 2013My laptop recently died before I was unable to do a backup of the PSE 9 catalog. I thought I was covered, however, since I do regular backups of my total system. In reviewing the backup data though, I discovered that I had copies of all of my pictures -- but the backup tool that I was using was NOT copying the PSE catalog file. Bottom line, I'm now missing probably 15+ years of catalog information......
Someone has told me that they believe they can pull some information off the damaged disk of the old PC. If this is possible, what file(s) should I ask them to try and recover -- and where would it likely be located?
Windows 7 OSPSE 9Catalog was not backup prior to system crash. I do not recall file structure of where photos were stored -- but I do have back up copies of all pictures (now stored on my new laptop)

VideoStudio :: Unexpectedly Poor Video Quality
Sep 25, 2012Brand new to VideoStudio or any other video editing software.
I used VideoStudio X5's screen capture feature to create a couple of training videos for our church. When viewed on their own, the videos look excellent - the screen captures are sharp and clear. But when I use those same captures in a video project - with an opening title and a couple of transitions - the capture videos are grainy, the text of the Web pages included in them almost unreadable.
As I said, I am new to this stuff, so the explanation for what I'm experiencing is possibly quite simple. Nonetheless, why the capture videos look great when I view them on their own, but become blurry when they are part of a project?

Illustrator :: Why Is AI Quitting Unexpectedly Every Time Upon Launch
May 21, 2012The inital thread was created because Adobe Illustrator from CS6, downloaded via the Creative Cloud, quits unexpectedly upon launch everytime. However, all of the other desktop apps I downloaded work perfectly.
