Photoshop :: CS6 Background Canvas Flickers During Use?
Feb 13, 2013
I bought Adobe creative suit 6 design standard yesterday. when using photoshop, the background canvas flickers and becomes transparent when i do things (zoom, erase, brush)
I have followed the solution of changing the drawing mode to Basic, but it is still an issue and is making photoshop unusable.
Image canvas flickers on windows 8 cannot do any editing already tried the following method what else I can do Have intel i3 processor with latest raphics drivers installed.
I paint the background the same exact color as my layer background, the canvas color is not exactly the same. I'm assuming it's a color management/profile kind of issue, but I keep that stuff off.
basically i have the need to create a wallpaper, i haven't done one in some time, not a decent one anyway. and I'm having some slight trouble.
I Have this image so far:
and i need the background area behind the soldiers to span across the whole canvas, creating a gradient and adding the smoke in will take ages and it probably wont look as good as hoped. my clone brush tool doesn't work because of a thing ubuntu has with the alt key, it stops me defining a source point the healing brush gets nowhere but where the Pixels are already not beyond.
I'm currently contemplating grabbing the end witht the select, duplicating it and blurring it, whether or not it looks daft is another matter.
I want to increase my canvas size, but not with a color. When I choose exisiting background it just chooses one color. I want to extend the exisiting background image out. t
Every once in a while I print that has two side-by-side images on one piece of paper. My usual routine is to create a new document that is larger than the two images--say, 10x8 (horizontal) with a transparent background and the same resolution as the two images that I'll be placing on the canvas (say, two 4x3's). Then I simply click on the image I want to move and drag it from its layers palette onto the blank background canvas, and move/edit/size as needed.
when I drag an image over to the blank canvas, it assumes the size of the entire canvas. so I just have the image... enlarged. With no background canvas. when I click on the new image (the one dragged to the canvas), all of the editing commands are grayed out. So I cannot resize or move it.I'm on CS5 (mac)
I wanted to combine two images one needs to be fit to the scale of the background image. So basically I followed the instructions.
Open up your background layer which was 800x600 landscape photo.
Then I imported my other image which was 600x800 portrait photo too. Layers -Import from file. I resized it then copied into a new layer. That was fine.
The problem is as soon as the new image is imported, the background image changes so that it only takes up half of the canvas. So now I've got a white area for half of the canvas. I can't seem to change this.
When I add a image to my background my background shrinks to the top left hand corner of canvas. I have been trying to do this every night for a week now and held out posting until I gave up. Also when I try to paste an image I get a message saying I don't have enough memory (I have 20 GB of memory free). I tried to find Pleska plugin for adding from file but could not find it.
I just upgraded my Win7 64 desktop to Win8 pro 64, and now photoshop cs5 is behaving very strangely. Any mouse click operation causes the entire working window to flicker, and the background to cycle between the normal pale gray background, a window full of transparent pixel rectangles, and solid black.
There doesn't appear to be any update from Adobe available within the help menu, so I think I'm up to date on the software.
Is this a known incompatibility between CS5 and Win8 64? I spent hours searching online before I did the Win8 upgrade looking for compatibility information on photoshop cs5 (and the rest of the cs5 master suite) but found very little information.
Using Trial CS6 on Windows8 - the workfield flickers in black. I am not going to continue the trial like this! Frustration with this app that it is so difficult to use. I loved MS Image Composer 1.5!
I'm working on a flyer on a 8x11 canvas, but I want all of the elements I'm working to be transferred to a NTSC video film format. I understand how to a open a NTSC (Video Film Canvas), but I do not understand how to convert a canvas that I'm working to that.
I need to produce a text logo with the first half of the canvas background black with white text, and the second half white with black text. Do I split the background or join two individual canvases together ............ or something else?
When I open up photoshop cs3 the background color comes up white. I like it when its grey, like in cs2. I know there is a way to change this color in cs2, I just can't remember how. It's some simple shortcut.
I noticed that the display flickers when going back in history using a script (I'm using Javascript), like so :
var docRef = app.activeDocument; docRef.activeHistoryState = docRef.historyStates[docRef.historyStates.length-2];
What precisely happens is the document briefly turns to a checker (the same checker that indicates transparency).
It also happens when using "executeAction" with the action recorded by the ScriptListener. But, it only happens when the function is called from within a script, not when I'm using the history panel.
This is a problem because it makes it a lot harder to see what changed between the two history states.i'm using CS6.
Whenever I use a tool (select, crop, highlight, resizing an image) in CS6, the image flickers. Not my entire screen, but just the background of CS6 and the image. It flickers like a strobe light and makes it very distracting to try and crop, select, do anything in CS6. It's clearly a CS6 problem and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times but it continues to flicker.
I just got CS5.1 at my job. This must be a preference, but when I adjust the Canvas size, it will constrain the image, rather than cropping the canvas. The Anchor in the Canvas Size menu appears outlined (highlighted?) which indicates that this is something in preferences that I can adjust.
I have a problem with photo Shop CC: When I try to write a text on top of a photo the screen goes black and flickers? I uninstalled the progran earlier on today and downloaded it again but the problem is still there.
I have a problem with the cursor in 3DS max 2014. I am using windows 8 and when i hover over the empty spaces in the menus on the right, the cursor flickers between the arrow an the hand.
I'm working on a drawing for a part and am getting annoying flickers from light to dark. What I am seeing happening is that everytime I pan or zoom (in or out) the drawing, the drawing lights up, and remains lit up until I move my mouse cursor over a view. When I do so, the entire drawing turns dark and remains dark until I pan/zoom the drawing again. So I am getting a constant dark - light flicker that I find very distracting.
I am only seeing this in this one drawing, however I do remember having this problem previously. In other drawings I have done, they will either be light (which I correspond to being normal) or the entire drawing will be dark. This I read has to do with the lighting in the source part file, but it never really bothered me.
Im on 2012 Iventor Pro, and Windows 7 Pro. 64bit with SP1.
The screen flickers when I move the mouse around an open drawing. I just applied the latest patch to Civil 3D 2010. It was not doing this before the patch.
Have Quadro 3500 video card. Updated the driver for that with no change.
Have a Logitech wireless mouse, M310. Up dated the driver for that with effect.
Changed to a wired mouse, no change.
Is there a setting in Autocad where I can set the refresh rate so that it does not refresh while moving the mouse. Or at least slow the automatic refresh rate down?
